Dr. Jin Yoo is a local boy who grew up in Honolulu. In pursuit of education and service, he spent years away from his island home. He completed his undergraduate education in Michigan and eventually earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University in California. He has traveled to over 35 countries to serve the less fortunate. Despite his extensive travels, he always knew he would return home to serve the people of Hawaii. When he isnt working, you will most likely find him hiking one of his favorite trails or in the water surfing. Dr. Yoo is married to an extraordinary makeup artist, and together they have one fun and adorable boy. As a family, they feel very fortunate to live in Hawaii surrounded by so much natural beauty and aloha.

WARNING: Do not let these people operate on you. I'm suffering from an infection after an extraction here. They receptionist has told me 3 times, she called in antibiotics, the pharmacy told me she didn't the 3 times I went to pick it up. Unprofessional as could possibly be. A receptionist who uses her position to be passive aggressive to patients is a very ear indicator of what occurs here. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

I think I've just found my new favorite dental team. Everyone who works here is absolutely wonderful. I was referred here by the Mediaid office for wisdom teeth removal. I've been ignoring my wisdom teeth (even though I was told as a kid that they're growing weird and have to be removed), but finally relented when I was told by a dentist that if I don't pull the 2, I'll eventually be forced to pull 4 teeth instead. I was a bit afraid of extraction surgery, but Dr. Yoo and his team made me feel at ease almost immediately after I booked the appointment. Surgery went extremely well. I didn't feel a thing, thanks to the skillful hands of the good doctor. It was over before I even knew it. The follow up care was easy to follow and the extraction sites "healed real well". Dr. Yoo is also really good at filling chipped teeth. If you're looking for a new dental team, look no further~ Thanks guys! See ya next year for my cleanings! :)

Dr.Yoo is quite honestly the BEST dentist that I've ever had. His skills as a dentist are impeccable .His staff matches his high level of integrity and professionalism. Nicole's bright smile, warm and caring demeanor is instantly felt as soon as she greets you at the front desk. She is very thorough when discussing prices,scheduling future appointments and follow ups. Chris is the ultimate dental assistant. His presence is very calming and reassuring. I felt safe while sitting in that chair. This is due to his calm and caring nature, his professionalism, knowledge and how he and Dr.Yoo interact as team. Dr. Jin Yoo is the Best Korean Dentist ever!! So kind staffs and best skill in Hawaii. He explains everything and my treatment is done at the first visit. (Cavity treatment and filling with Resin) Highly Recommended!!!

Dr.Yoo is truly amazing. I had recently gotten all four of my wisdom teeth extracted by him and he made the whole process comfortable, painless and fast. Especially when I was having anxiety, he made sure I was doing okay and helped to calm my nerves. I am very thankful to have had him do my surgery.

Medicaid referred me to Aina Haina. The doc fixed my chipped tooth and did a good job. I had to pay out of pocket and felt his fee was reasonable.

ive called many places to get my tooth pulled and Aina Haina Family Dental was kindly enough to take me in ASAP other then most places! greatest experiences ever, i didnt feel no pain at all. once i got into the room it took about 5-10 mins to pull out my teeth and next thing you know it i was done. Thankyou to DR Jin Yoo and to the AMAZING staff for making me feel comfortable and welcomed! to be honest i could just feel the heartfelt passion Dr. Jin Yoo has for the job he does!looking forward on seeing them soon!!!!! if you need any tooth extract or need a professional Dr. to fix up your teeth i would refer you to aloha aina family dental!!!! thankyou once again

Just got two teeth extracted in under thirty mins! Fastest and easiest time I've ever had at the dentist. Dr. Yoo explained the problem, procedure and made sure I was comfortable and relaxed the whole time. Staff was very professional and office was extremely clean. I will definitely be coming back here for any future dental work.

I had an incredible experience here! No one loves getting four wisdom teeth pulled but Dr. Jin Yoo made me feel completely at ease, explaining to me the entire process for before during and after, and answering all of my questions. He narrated each step as he went through to prepare me for any loud noise or pressure, however, I felt absolutely no pain. Exactly what he said to expect, happened as he described and I am so happy to be wisdom tooth free. Thank you to the entire friendly staff for all of your help.. also very COVID friendly! Mahalo

Absolutely amazing dentist. In and out for a tooth extraction in less than 45minutes. He's incredible with numbing the mouth. Didn't even feel a pinch. No tears, no nothing. He also accepts Quest.

Needed a extraction due to toothache, called Dr. Yoo's office and they took me in within couple hours was very nervous but oh my gosh it took literally only a minute and no pain to extract the tooth I couldn't believe it I am amazed with this office they are very awesome I recommend Dr. Yoo's office you won't regret it I know I don't and I traveled all the way from waianae. Thank you both for such a easy painless visit.

Dr. Jin Yoo and staff were excellent and quick. For those that have Quest and can not find a dentist that accepts this insurance this is the place to go. They put you at ease and explained everything that was going to happen so there would be no surprises.

I decided to try this dentist since my son, Jonathon, is extremely apprehensive & afraid of dentists because of previous experiences at other dental office's. We called around and read alot of reviews & the reviews that we read on Aina Haina Family Dental & Dr Yoo made him feel comfortable enough to make an appointment for a toothache. They were able to fit us in to look at his tooth the day we called. We found out the tooth ache was due to a very bad tooth and required a root canal. This elevated my son's anxiety but we went ahead with the root canal. One of the my sons biggest anxieties was about the needle they use for the anesthetic shot but the doctor numbed the area completely before the shot was even administered, so the shot was completely painless and made him feel comfortable. During the root canal procedure the doctor was very patient and told him at any time, if he needed a break, to let him know and they would take a break. He felt nothing during the entire procedure, no longer has a toothache and Dr Yoo has now has cured his fear of going to the dentist. Dr Yoo and his staff were very nice, welcoming, kind and patient. I called many times for additional details before the root canal with questions and never felt rushed or like I was bothering them, they answered all mine and my son's questions. GO SEE AINA HAINA FAMILY DENTAL !! I would recommend them to ANYONE who needs a dentist but especially anyone who has anxiety or is afraid of going to a dentist.

Dr. Yoo is the best dentist Ive ever been to! I always had to get cavities filled, and out of all the doctors I've been to Dr. Yoo has been the absolute best. Very considerate, efficient, great environment, friendly staff, and overall the best experience. I would recommend this dentist office 100% to anyone!! Love this dentist office and it's staff!

This is hands down the best dentist I've been to! The staff itself is incredible and patient comfortability is definitely their top priority. I live out on the North Shore and the one hour commute to Aina Haina Family Dental is well worth the drive. I had so much work done on my teeth from them and not once was I ever in pain. All four wisdom teeth removed (super quick and painless), crown, and fillings! They always called to remind me the day before an appointment which was really convenient. I'd highly recommend Dr.Yoo and his office to anyone in the Aina Haina area and even beyond that. Excellent practice all around!
