Dr. Watanabe, DDS has her biology and neuroscience degree from the University of Toronto. She then studied at Case Western Reserve University with department specialists, obtaining her doctorate in dental science. Dr. Watanabe, DDS performed her general practice residency with MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.
Being a member of many organizations, Dr. Watanabe, DDS is able to learn and share information with other dentists and specialists regarding the latest procedures and materials available. Dr. Watanabe, DDS is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Greater Cleveland Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and Western Implant Study Group.
The dental team includes experienced professionals led by Dr. Aico Watanabe. We each share the belief that the care we provide should be comprehensive and courteous responding fully to your individual needs. You are treated like family!
There is no greater joy than seeing a childs smile! At Aicos Dental Group, we believe in making dental care an early experience to help children in our communities start on a lifetime of healthy smiles. Our sincere goal is to be an active part in the education of the children and help them learn about the importance of excellent dental health.
We meet this goal by dental health programs in the preschools of our areas. Every year, we visit many schools and meet hundreds of children with our presentations. Children will see how important going to the dentist is for their total health. We give one-on-one instruction on how to keep their smiles sparkling and why eating healthy snacks is so important to their well-being.
They will see a video about going to the dentist for their first visit. A question-and-answer time is also completed. Each child takes home a packet of information to encourage parental interest and participation to continue the childs dental education on a daily basis. We have received many positive comments from the parents on their childs new interest in keeping their 'smile bright.'

Watanabe has been my dentist for about 25 years. They are very professional nice and good at providing oral hygiene!

I had a double root canal performed two years ago and I'm currently having an emergency extraction! She hollowed out the tooth too much, added a oversized screw and didn't kill the nerve! I'm in excruciating pain right now! My current dentist told me everything she did incorrectly which results in me having to get partials!!!!!

My husband first saw Dr. Aico a few weeks ago for a cleaning and consultation. While he really liked Dr. Aico, the staff, not so much. He said that was the most painful cleaning he has ever had in his life and the hygienist was extremely rough. The office staff has difficulties with communication and when speaking with them on the phone, they are extremely rushed and speak to other people that are off in the background, which to me is extremely unprofessional.

Went here for a cleaning and it was nice.. the only thing I have to say is they don't communicate with patients very well. When I went in for my cleaning I specifically told the dentist about a problem with a tooth I had been having for while... she came in and identified A few other teeth that had cavities that would need fillings she said and I was surprised, when I said something about being nervous for all those fillings she said at least I didn't have to get all root canals. they scheduled an appointment and they worked on only 2 teeth. Did a root canal on a tooth I didn't even have any pain on or knew anything was wrong with (but when I checked myself there was decaying on the back of it) and then did a filling on another tooth and left the one that I had specifically told them was causing me pain alone. After the appointment they said I was finished and I even went back in and double check and asked the receptionist if I was really done And didn't need any more appointments she said yes. Now about 2 months later that same tooth is turning literally grey and I had to schedule an appointment at another dentist who would actually explain to me and tell me all the work they were doing for my teeth.
