Dr. Wallender is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He is the only pediatric craniofacial surgeon in West Florida and South Alabama. Dr. Wallender is specifically interested in craniofacial surgery, facial reconstruction, bone grafting and implant reconstruction. He has cared for multiple children in his region, as medical director and craniofacial surgeon for the Gulf Coast Cleft and Craniofacial Team.
Dr. Wallender earned his undergraduate degree at Missouri State University and his dental degree through University of Missouri Kansas City in 2008. He completed his residency in OMFS and a fellowship training in pediatric cleft and craniofacial surgery.
His early exposure to the field of dentistry during his externship at Childrens Medical Center Dallas lead him to his career choice. Witnessing the instant transformation in a childs life and the impact it had on their families drew me to pursue a career in the field.
In his free time, Dr. Wallender enjoys endurance sports, water sports and snow sports. Time spent with his wife and children are a priority. His faith is a staple in his life. He is actively engaged in his community and civic service with his church body. Dr. Wallender continually participates in international cleft and craniofacial mission programs, which help to provide free care for the underserved in Vietnam, Honduras, Guatemala, and the Philippines.
I am used by God to impact peoples lives in the healthcare field for Gods glory. I have been given the righteousness of Jesus by faith in Him who has overcome sin and death. I love the Lord my God with all my heart, soul, and strength. I am motivated to be part of everlasting change in the lives of my team and my patients. If I am not able to serve and change the lives of those around me through my service, then the impact I have is only on my own life which is a brief flash in eternity.

Absolutely love this dentist and her team. I truly love coming to this office. I have yet to meet a staff member that wasn't pleasant. I recently moved over 200 miles away and I will continue to travel to come to Aggie dental because when u find a place this great you stick with them.

My husband, John just came in to Aggie Dental and got his teeth cleaned and evaluated. The Hygienist was so good and Johnn never felt a moment of discomfort. Dr. Simmons also made a plan to address some problems and was very thorough and the plan was clear a d easy to understand. Really happy with all the staff who are friendly and kind.

Love Aggie Dental! Conveniently located. Staff that treats like you family. Clean facilities. Best dentist experience I've ever had. They are kind and understand when you have issues such as a small mouth and they work with you to make it as comfortable as possible.

I had one tooth extracted on January 24 by Dr. Simmons. The extraction went well and everyone I interacted with (hygienist, dentist assistant and front desk receptionist) were very pleasant, knowledgeable and eager to help. After returning home I experienced severe pain from the extraction area. The doctor had given me a prescription for tramodal. One pill did nothing, so I took a second one and one more every three hours. The pain began to diminish. However, I must have had an allergic reaction as the itching began. Also, I vomited three times. I stopped taking the prescription. The following morning the pain subsided but the itching continued to a lesser degree. Minimal bleeding from the extraction. No one called yesterday, not today from the office to follow-up with me.

I got my wisdom teeth out on Friday and the staff took very good care of me the whole time. I was nervous to get it done and they were very supportive and were talking to me until they put me to sleep. Definitely by far the best oral surgeon I've had so far. I had one of my wisdom teeth taken out by a different oral surgeon and had a horrible experience but Dr. Wallander did an amazing job and I would definitely recommend going here for anything dealing with oral surgery.
