Dr. Bryan Hill grew up in southern West Virginia and attended dental school at West Virginia University. While at WVU, he was awarded the PJ Zickefoose Memorial scholarship for compassionate patient care. After graduating in 2015, he went on to Dallas, TX to complete an Advanced Education In General Dentistry (AEGD).
Dr. Hill has a passion for helping people overcome dental fear with a conservative and comprehensive vision for each one of his patients. Dr. Hill is dedicated to advancing his education through the top programs in the country, such as the Kois Center in Seattle, Washington. He has spent countless hours pursuing knowledge and skills in many areas of dentistry, with an emphasis on dental implants, orthodontics, and cosmetic smile design.
Outside of the office, Dr. Hill can be spotted around the Queen City spending time with his family, friends, and Goldendoodle, Warby. He is an avid Panthers fan and also enjoys spending time outdoors playing basketball, skiing, and hiking.
Warby has a very important role at Afton Dental. Born in 2020, Warby came to Dr. Hill with incredible genetic skills and aptitude for developing relationships and providing comfort to our dental clients. Warby and Dr. Hill began their journey by developing social skills in our office and community environments with people of all ages and abilities. They went on to successfully completed basic and intermediate obedience training. In compliance with the North Carolina Board of Dental Examiners, Warby, Dr. Hill and the staff at this location of Afton Dental have participated in continuing education and have been evaluated by an *accredited member of Animal Assisted Intervention International (AAII), so they may offer services that include animal assisted interventions. Afton Dental follows AAII Standard of Practice and Competencies, and is a member in good standing of AAII.
Warby is a low-shed breed, is regularly professionally groomed, she sees her veterinarian routinely to ensure good public health, and is evaluated for interactions, obedience and behavior annually. Warby has excellent manners, is quite affectionate, and really enjoys her interactions with people. In addition to being the softest and cutest team member, Warby is compassionate, caring and a good listener. The dental office is her home away from home where she feels safe and advocated for.

Fabulous experience with a fabulous team! Everyone was so friendly and patient with my overwhelming amount of questions and anxiety. It was much appreciated, as I know I can be a little "extra" at times. Dr. Hill is very knowledgeable and made sure I had all the information needed in order to come to an informed decision regarding my care. He made sure I was comfortable and provided top notch dental care during my procedure. I look forward to getting the rest of my treatment with him. Definitely recommend! ***Updated Review*** After receiving some fillings and crown work, I must say that Dr. Hill's work is phenomenal! I used to be a dental assistant, and can tell that his work is top notch. The BEST I have been able to find since moving here. Very happy.

Today was my first visit for a crown placement on a dental implant begun before I moved here. I was so pleased with Dr Hill explaining things to me as he was doing them virtually eliminating my anxiety. The entire team worked together well and were friendly and respectful of each other. Definitely lived up to the high expectations I had from viewing their website.

Dr. Hill put a new tooth in my mouth and now I'm not afraid to go outside anymore. The whole experience was very fast and easy, and Warby was there to comfort me through the whole ordeal. I'm not afraid to pet dogs anymore. 10/10, would allow him in my mouth again.

This is the best dental experience I have ever had and this was only my first visit. The entire staff was kind, respectful and compassionate. I felt truly heard and that they cared about my concerns. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone looking for a dentist. They also have a really cute dog in the office and who could complain about that!

Best dentist and staff ever! Each time I have come in for dental work, everyone has been helpful in keeping me comfortable. I am a nervous patient, but my experiences with Dr. Hill have been rather easy. Highly recommend this office for all your dental needs (or dental woes in my case, ha ha).

I've been going here for all of my dental needs since they opened. Dr Hill is very personable and Angela always does such a fantastic job cleaning my teeth. Everyone in the office is super friendly and makes you feel comfortable. And let's not forget about Warby, the sweetest emotional support pupper you'll ever meet. You should go there just to meet her, the dental work is just a bonus!

Dr. Hill and his entire staff (shout out to Angela & Tina P.!) have been nothing but amazing! How have I gone my whole life and never experienced the benefit of a therapy dog during my visits!? Game changer for people like me that hateeee going to the dentist!! Warby was such a cutie and was a great distraction during my procedure. Maybe I won't dread my appts lol if she'll always be there haha. Thank you!

I have been coming to this location since 2005. It's always been great. This was my third visit since Dr. Hill has been there and the hygienist Tammy (i think that is her name) is absolutely amazing. I never knew how anyone in the dental industry could go above and beyond but she did. I recommended this place before Dr. Hill was there but now it is a MUST for your dental needs.

I met Dr Hill in around February 2021. He had just purchased my dentists practice. On my first visit he asked ... "have you ever considered Invisalign?" I had been telling how much I hated my smile and he opened this door that no dentist before him ever had. On April 1, 2021, after a consultation with him, we put on Invisalign! Today is February 2, 2022 and I am having them removed today and have a perfect smile. After a lifetime of dentists who never suggested it, I am so grateful for Dr Hill for changing my life.

Dr. Hill and his staff provided excellent care from start to finish of my two fillings. Absolutely no pain or discomfort. I had a poor experience with a dentist in my early teens and decades later I still get nervous about dental work. Warby the very therapeutic Goldendoodle eased my nerves. She is a sweetheart! Best dental visit ever.

The support staff, technicians and Dr.Hill are very caring and professionals. They always have a kind word and make you feel at ease. Everyone is very knowledgeable and helpful when I have questions. I love the high tech/advance dental equipment they use. My 6 year old as well as my mother also very satisfied patients too. I HIGHLY recommend Afton Dental for all your dental needs!!
