In the coastal plain region of eastern North Carolina, two dentists: Dr. George Edwards, Jr., and Dr. Donald Henson, saw a growing need to provide dentures and tooth extractions at a price their patients could afford.
Turning away patients because dental care was too costly didnt sit well with the two doctors. So, in 1975 they opened the first Affordable Dentures practice inside of a two-story home in Kinston, North Carolina.
Today, the same commitment to affordable and high-quality tooth replacement solutions found in that two-story home is now delivered across the United States inside nearly 400 clinics, now known as Affordable Dentures & Implants, which represents the expanded service offerings and advanced high-quality care offered to our patients.
Through their care for patients, Dr. Edwards and Dr. Henson also discovered how important it was to provide immediate dentures with same-day service, especially for patients who often traveled great distances.
To this day, almost every affiliated Affordable Dentures & Implants practice has an on-site laboratory that is committed to providing same-day dentures and convenient dental care to patients as needed.

As we create AFFORDABLE DENTURE MOMENTS for our patients, we see firsthand that a smile can help transform a life. Our team is dedicated to giving back in the communities where we live and work through our time, talent and dental care services.
Affordable Dentures & Implants clinical and laboratory employees generously donate their time and talent at free dental clinics hosted by Mission of Mercy chapters across the United States. The mobile clinics provide free dental services including cleanings, fillings, oral surgery, x-rays and dentures to patients in need. The Affordable Dentures & Implants volunteers provide on-site dental care and dental laboratories to fabricate dentures. Oftentimes, if it were not for the Affordable Dentures & Implants volunteers, patients who visit the free clinics would not have access to free dentures or have their current dentures repaired free of charge.
Doctors and clinical team members from Affordable Dentures & Implants attend training programs to advance their skills in surgical and restorative elements of implant dentistry. The patients treated in the programs are patients in need, who are unable to afford dental care, including homeless individuals, military veterans and victims of domestic abuse.

Great place. Clean everywhere, and friendly staff. They get you in quickly, they don't try to force procedures on you. They ask what you want to fix. You get an itemized written statement to take with you on the costs, and what your insurance will pay. All the prices are broken down in easy to read terms.

Very unhappy not with Dr. CURLIN but the front staff, I asked 3x what my charges would be prior to scheduling my extractions. I was told my exam and xray were free however I was charged an extra $130 while I was sedated. Called the next day and was told too bad, we think you were here 6yrs ago so we added that in! Be warned... ask multiple times what charges will be then pay BEFORE being sedated!!!

The staff did an exceptional job...I haven't had upper teeth in 22 years and they really had their job cut out for them...they went above and beyond for me and my teeth look great...they were very patient and understanding with me..I would highly recommend them...

I had to return because the implant came loose and I needed it tighten back up. So they didn't mention anything about charging or anything. Once they tightened it back up and I was ready to leave they told me hold on wait a minute wait a minute. And then they wanted $150 for X-ray and exam. I feel like they should have told me up front that they were going to charge me something but I also feel like they should not have charged me at all because they guaranteed my i implants. I do not recommend going to this place this is the fourth time my implant has came loose and every single time they want to charge you $150-150 45 for office visit even though they don't do one single thing and make another appointment they just want to keep charging you they won't waive any fees for anything

I was the person who tried to hide their teeth as much as possible. I was sad, ashamed and nervous when I walked in the door. But then I was greeted immediately and each member of the team treated me like I mattered. I wasn't just a patient. I was taken care of. Went back for my post op and they took my dentures to look for spots that weren't quite right and adjusted for me. I was included in the decision making and they made sure I was happy before leaving. I would highly recommend the team at Affordable Dentures to anyone and everyone. I love my new smile.

Cindy is always great at cleanings, I have used her for 8 yrs and would not go to anybody else. She is very gentle and concerned while working on me for cleaning. I have and will continue to see Cindy for my cleanings and I have recommended her to all my friends and neighbors, she is very very good at her job.

Dr was great. Staffing very unstable every time you go there is new people. Spent $10,000 on upper implants paid for it all up front . Last appointment to get finalized dentures my teeth were broken by the assistant had to get new ones after waiting 2 weeks got to my appointment and was told I had to pay $700 more dollars before I was even seen. Terrible customer service! at last appointment noone knew what they were doing. Still have not gotten my final product after paying for it. Wouldn't recommend to anyone

I have serious anxiety about Dentist, I'm a Cancer survivor, so finding the right Doctor/Dentist is a priority. I only just went here and I absolutely love the people and the Dentist was the best I've met in 20 years! Definitely a place to check out!

I told Okay. To begin with, I don't know if DDS is any better to go to or not. What I do know was my insurance paid a lot for my top dentures. Maybe over $2,000.00 then I had to pay the remainder which I have forgotten how much, maybe $600.00 or a little more. Anyway, DDS would schedule me an appointment then not have the product(maybe soft gel liner) but didn't call me to tell me but would tell after I got up there. Then another time they made me an appointment,when I got there they told me I had to make a payment before they could do anything else for me;again, after the fact that I drove up there. Now, just today, they had called me; I paid them in full finally;they set me up an appointment for 11:30 this morning. Guess what? I Now I'm told that it was told it was a miscommunication to me that they don't do the teeth alignments until I think she said 9:00 on Tuesdays. They sent me home again & rescheduled me. I told them it looks like since they were so adamant on me not getting an appointment until they were paid in full, that they could reimburse me for gas money I spent to come up there each time since it was the girls in the front office didn't know what they were doing. I hate to complain,I normally doy but I've had enough of them not knowing nor caring enough. I feel like I'm a number there and not a human being.

Had teeth pulled all went good, got post, it was dentist 1st time, bottom good but he did top wrong & after 2 tries & lots of pain i gave up. It was left in & has come thru roof of mouth & they said just leave it???, dentures great & fit good ( they change dentist & people that make the dentures often so it is luck of the draw). I called to get a relign & when I got there they told me $300 + fee for relign. I left.

My experience at Affordable Dentures has been pleasant so far. I will need adjustments on my new Premium Dentures , but that is normal. I will know more at that time.
