Although I grew up in South Florida my parents brought my family home every summer to Plymouth, Indiana. I found a home again here in Northern Indiana when I attended the University of Notre Dame to obtain my bachelors degree in English Literature and Pre-professional Studies. After graduating from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 2013, I completed a General Practice Residency at the Jesse Brown VA in Chicago.

I received orthodontic training through the United States Dental Institute and have been Invisalign certified since 2013. I found my dream job here at Afdent in 2016 and made Michiana my permanent home with my husband and two little girls. We love to spend time outside, read, and have dance parties in the living room.

My career in Dentistry started in 1979. After graduating from Indiana University School of Dentistry, I went into practice with my father, Dr. Paul Havlick. I practiced patient-centered Dentistry for over 40 years in Valparaiso, and now I have the great opportunity to do the same with Afdent here in Mishawaka.

I was born and raised in South Bend, attended Clay High School, and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2012. In May 2016, after earning a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, I returned to my hometown to practice patient-centered dentistry.

Serving the CommunityService to others is an important part of my dental practice. In dental school, I organized events that educated and provided free dental exams to elementary school students. I remain dedicated to my role in serving our community through various programs in northern Indiana.

After joining Afdent in 2011, I was immediately impressed with our Patient Friendly approach to dentistry. I enjoy working with our amazing and talented staff to bring the best dental care in Michiana. My wife and I have two beautiful twins. In my free time I enjoy Cubs baseball, my 1976 Jeep CJ5, and heading to the beach in the summer.

I was born and raised in Muskegon, MI. I moved to the east side of Michigan while attending the University of Michigan Dental School and University of Detroit Mercy Dental School orthodontic residency. I was an associate professor at the University of Detroit Dental School orthodontic department and was a state of Michigan board examiner.

I practiced orthodontics for 22 years in Grand Haven MI. In February of 2019 I married my husband, Robert, and have since closed my office in Grand Haven and have made Elkhart my home. I now have a blended family of 4 boys, 1 girl, and 3 dogs. I enjoy golf, stand up paddle boarding, and playing bass guitar in the church praise band.

I recently relocated to Mishawaka, IN from Elizabethtown, KY with my husband and Daughter. We made the move to this community with our Bengal Cat, Lexi, and our Cumberland Slider Turtle, Terra. Im so excited to join the Afdent family and hope to contribute my love of dentistry to the patient-centered model. Over the course of my 16 year career, I have committed myself to providing quality dental care for the whole family and place a high emphasis on patient comfort. A majority of my career has been in pediatric dentistry and I hope to contribute that skill set to the practice.

Serving the CommunityI volunteered with Smile Kentucky placing sealants at the KY State Fair along with performing Oral Cancer screenings. I also volunteered at my home town elementary school for dental screenings.

I am a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, with over a decade in private practice. I graduated from Boston University with a Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD). Prior to starting my journey into dentistry, I spent four years studying Biology (B.Sc.) at St. Francis Xavier University of Louisiana. After my deep dive into medical research, I enrolled in the undergraduate mentorship program at University of California (San Francisco) School of Dental Medicine.

Im committed to advanced continuing education that focuses on cosmetic dentistry and endodontics. I am an active member of the Indiana State Dental Association, and The American Dental Association. I am also certified in advanced BOTOX and dermal filler techniques from the Esthetic Skin Institute (ESI).

New to Indiana, I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. I graduated from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, and then went on to receive my Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. After dental school, I moved to New York City. While in NYC, I practiced general dentistry, and received a Certificate in Graphic Design and Advertising from Parsons School of Design.

A Fort Wayne native, Dr. Braasch graduated from Bishop Dwenger prior to attending Wabash College where he received a BA in psychology with a focus in neuroscience. His formal dental training was completed at Indiana University School of Dentistry where he received a doctorate of dental surgery.

I have been practicing dentistry and orthodontics in Fort Wayne for over 34 years. I attended the University of Kentucky and graduated with high distinction honors. I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University and my Masters in Orthodontics from the St. Louis University College of Orthodontics.

Prior to having a private practice I served as a Captain in the USAFDC where I received a Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service. I am also currently a guest lecturer at IPFW. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family.

Im a graduate of Loyola Dental School and maintained a private practice in Chicago, Illinois for 28 years focusing on crowns, bridges, restorative and cosmetic dentistry. In 1995 I moved to Northwest Indiana and in 2005 I joined Dr. Pecina at Afdent Dental in Mishawaka. I was in complete agreement with the practices philosophy of putting the patient first and was also very impressed by the friendly and professional clinical and office staff at Afdent.

I am married and the proud father of two lovely daughters. I give back to the community as a volunteer fireman and medical first responder. I also enjoy outdoor activities, bicycling, and traveling with my family.

I grew up in Maryland. After living in Baltimore, Boston, Louisville and El Paso, I now calls the warm and inviting town of Fort Wayne her home. I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Physiology and Neurobiology from the University of Maryland, College Park. I continued my education at the University of Maryland, Baltimore obtaining a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

I strive to give my patients an easy, stress-free experience with the highest level of patient care. I am excited about the field of dentistry and always looking to improve my skills through various continuing education courses and staying current with developing technologies. I pride myself on personalized and caring dental treatment and love working to help people improve the function and esthetics of their smiles.

I have two children. My daughter is studying at Indiana University and my son is studying at IUPUI. I enjoy playing guitar and Ive begun training in classical guitar. Im fascinated with storm chasing and plan to start my first adventure next year.

I'm originally from Fox Lake, Illinois. I grew up playing football, baseball and wrestling. My senior year in high school I served one term as village trustee where I got to experience local politics and serving the community first hand. I wrestled for two years in college and served as assistant wrestling coach at Truman College.

I enjoyed playing sports and coaching so much I decided to pursue a degree in physical education and minor in health. I taught high school for several years in Chicago Public Schools before attending dental school at IU. In teaching, I coached high school wrestling and girls tennis. In my spare time I enjoy weight training, cycling and yoga. I also enjoy playing golf and tennis.

Dr. Salazar is from Grabill, IN and a graduate of Leo High School. She lives in Fort Wayne and is honored to work in the Northeast Indiana community in which she was raised. Dr. Salazar and her husband were married in 2016. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and is a proud owner to two rescue dogs, Lucy and Penny.

After serving in the US Army for six years as a medical laboratory technician, I studied Clinical Laboratory Science at Indiana University School of Medicine before electing to attend dental school at Indiana University. I practiced dentistry for two years before completing an internship in Oral Maxillofacial Pathology at the University of Florida Shands Hospital.

I returned to Indiana to practice general dentistry following my internship. I am a lifelong learner and have attended several courses with emphasis on implant dentistry, leading to fellowships in both ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantology) and AAIP (American Association of Implant Prosthodontics).

I have three beautiful children. My oldest daughter is a freshman at Noblesville high school. I also have a toddler and a newborn. My three children keep me busy outside of work but when I get free time, I enjoy PC gaming and watching movies.

I also likes camping, rock climbing and backpacking.
