Dr. Ahmad Faroq Amin received his Bachelor of Science from George Mason University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Howard University College of Dentistry where he was awarded several certificates of academic excellence. His residency training included service at the Department of Veterans Affair, Childrens Hospital, District of Columbia General Hospital and finally Howard University Hospital where he completed his residency and received his Certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has been practicing oral and maxillofacial surgery since 1998 and was voted top dentist of oral surgery by the Consumers Research Council of America consecutively since 2008.
Dr. Amins private practice includes oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures, with an emphasis in dental implant surgery. Dr. Amin and his staff are dedicated in providing high quality and affordable dental care, using the most up to date technology to ensure that your dental experience is positive and painless.
As a resident of Northern Virginia for the past 30 years, Dr. Amin currently resides in Fairfax with his wife and two children. In his free time, Dr. Amin enjoys spending time with his family, travelling and cooking specialty cuisines from all over the world.

I had 2 wisdom teeth that needed to be extracted. One of them grew sideway. I was told by another dentist that it was a hard tooth to remove. I was very nervous coming to the appointment but Dr. Amin was extremely nice and professional. He put my anxiety at ease and made the whole procedure comfortable as much as possible. He's one of the best oral surgeons in town! It was easy to make an appointment. Highly recommended!

They were able to get me into a same day appointment which was incredibly helpful in an emergency. Doctor Amin was professional and personable and took great care and spent a good amount of time to thoroughly explain and address my concerns.

I recently had a bone graft performed by Dr. Amin. He made sure all of my concerns were answered before proceeding forward with the surgery. I recommend Dr. Amin for bone grafts and extractions. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Fairfax Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery has changed quality of my life. Dr. Amin is an amazing dentist with a very gentle touch, I have done multiple extractions of my upper and lower by Dr.Amin and It has been a painless experience I didn't feel a thing. He is very thorough and explains all the medical details very clearly, his office staffs are pleasant and very helpful. Currently both my wife and I are under his care for: Bone graft, wisdom teeth extraction and implants. Dr. Amin is a very caring and kind person.

I have had a lifetime of dental issues stemming from severe tmj that, because of my condition, resulted in numerous visits to dentists and oral surgeons, as well as psychiatrists to deal with high anxiety. Dr. Amin is far superior to any dental professional I'd ever met. His calming demeanor and willingness to listen put me to ease immediately. In less than 30 minutes, surgery was complete and, for the first time in my life, I had no pain afterward. His office is immaculate, and his staff are cordial and proficient. Dr. Amin is a standout in his profession.

Dr. Amin and his team did an amazing job with my wisdom teeth extractions! I was so nervous because I had heard so many horror stories of how painful the procedure was. Dr. Amin did such a great job that my procedure was painless and the recovery was quick. His instructions are very detailed and easy to follow that it makes the recovery go by smoothly. If your looking for an oral surgeon he is definitely the best of the best!!!

I recently visited doctor's Amin clinic for the first time to have all four wisdom teeth removed. It was actually a very pleasant experience, Dr. Amin executed the procedure perfectly and had a light hand. He was extremely welcoming and gave great attention to my concerns. I followed his post surgery instructions and did not experience much pain or swelling as I expected it to be much worst. I even still have almost all of the pain killer pills because I did not need them as pain was minimal. I believe his dental work carries great quality and definitely would recommend Dr. Amin to all peers. Thank You!

I recently had 3 surgical extractions and an implant performed by Dr. Rostami who was caring, gentle and very professional. She explained everything from the beginning to the end.
