Brilliant smiles are no accident. Finding the right dentist can make all the difference.Dr. Timothy Pfister and our staff, for example, have an understanding, caring attitude toward all our patients. We treat each of you as if you were a dear friend or family member. We also understand the fear that you may experience when going to the dentist and we are always working toward making your visits comfortable and stress-free. To this end, we offer three levels of sedation, including free nitrous oxide, oral sedation, and IV sedation. We are also focused on providing advanced, personalized dental care. Once Dr. Pfister and our friendly dental team have ensured that you are comfortable and relaxed, we take a comprehensive approach to your dental health, both structurally and cosmetically, which can be life-changing for some. This approach is based on biometrics, the precise measurement of bodily processes. Aesthetic Oral Arts uses a combination of technologies, such as JVA, T-scans, EMG and cone beam imaging, to get a baseline of data for muscles, dentition, ligaments, and joints. We are able to get a full picture of every function and their relationships to one another. This allows for much more accurate diagnoses and treatment plans, as well high quality, long-term results.

Dr. Pfister and our team of professionals address a wide range of dental health issues, and thanks to our vast array oftechnological equipment, are able to do so in less time and with less pain while ensuring the best possible results for patients. We offer:

To help our patients feel more at ease, we offer sedation dentistry. We provide nitrous oxide sedation as well as oral conscious and IV sedation. Dr. Pfister can help determine if sedation is right for you.

When you are looking for a dentist, you want someone who will provide personalized, dedicated care for your whole self, not just your teeth. Dr. Timothy Pfister is a dentist based in New Hartford, NY, with over 35 years of experience improving his patients smiles. He prides himself on a holistic approach which takes into account every aspect of your smile and how your oral health affects your overall wellbeing.

Dr. Pfister has spent many years honing his craft to provide the highest quality care for his patients. In 1982, he began his general practice residency in Toledo, OH. After a few years learning from an experienced dentist, he moved to New York City to begin a two year orthodontic course. Once the course was complete, he decided to stay in New York and began looking for an area to settle down and open a practice.

On January 21, 1988, Dr. Pfister moved to the Utica area and has been serving New Hartford and the surrounding community ever since. He first began practicing in a small office in a strip mall. Over the years, he expanded first to Genesee St. for 17 years and then to our current location on Middle Settlement Road.

Each move has allowed Dr. Pfister to offer improved services. After six years in our current location, we believe we have built an ideal space for patients, with nice parking, lots of room, and multiple operatories for comfortable treatment.

At Aesthetic Oral Arts, you have access to all phases of general, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry. Dr. Pfister is trained in virtually all aspects of dental procedures and is able to address a range of complex issues. He always recommends services that are in the best interest of the patient and will work carefully with you to ensure you receive the treatment that will work best for you.

Dr. Pfisters comprehensive approach to dentistry makes it possible for him to uncover issues another dentist may not even consider. He has trained extensively in orthodontics and craniofacial issues. In addition, his dedication to continuing education means he is up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies.

The most rewarding thing about dentistry is when I get to help a patient with a very compromised smile. Some patients have such extensive tooth loss or other issues that their smile is very debilitating. Treatment from us can give a patient a whole new life. Cosmetic treatments can be life-changing as well. When we do a crown or porcelain veneers, it gives the patient a whole new smile. It is life-changing.

Highly overrated! Mediocre at best. Dental Assistant left me drowning in my own saliva. Fillings were poor quality. Nurse who administers IV sedation is incompetent. She couldn't find a vein, didn't administer proper amt (felt pain during procedure). She had to put the IV in my hand, and jiggled it half way through procedure so I think the needle was part way out. I ended up at urgent care due to swelling and inability to fully move my hand. Asked for a refund or discount on anesthesia cost ($400) but they refused. The team was more interested in chatting than the patient.

They've been great with all my concerns. They've thoroughly explained everything to me and sent me home with treatment plans so I know what to expect. All of the staff are professional, polite, and very nice. They really go above and beyond. I'm very thankful to have found them considering several dentist I've been to before seemed like they didn't care about my concerns. Keep up the great work!

I recently started going to this dental practice and I could not be happier. They go to the extreme to make sure you are comfortable all the way through each procedure and my experience with Dr. Cotrupe has been extraordinary. She is very thorough and very caring and considerate concerning any anxiety or discomfort. I also recently had a somewhat emergency situation and they fit me right in so it could be taken care of. I highly recommend this practice.

The staff is great. Felt comfortable but when I called to schedule the appointment I was told they could fix my crown. I arrived to the appointment had X-rays and the exam left the office and was told it would be out of pocket and they don't par with my insurance. This information should have been given at the time I called for my appointment. Wasted everyone's time and a waste of money.

Kind, understanding, professional staff who relieved my anxiety and examined me thoroughly, THEN came up with a comprehensive and reasonably priced plan to redeem my mouth. I have been through some dental brutality in the past and I feel confident I will be treated with care and respect in the restoration of my long neglected dental health.

Dr. Pfister and the team are awesome. I am definitely not a fan of going to the dentist (from some childhood bad experiences a million years ago), and they are patient, kind and understanding. They help me get through it and after I say to myself...that wasn't so bad! Dr. Pfister is caring and genuinely concerned. He even called me the next day to see how I was doing etc etc. Couldn't be happier with him and the whole office.

I've been going to Aesthetic Oral Arts for years, and have never been disappointed. Just recently, I broke a tooth and had to have a crown. With the COVID virus, I wasn't sure I'd be able to get in, but I did and they took care of it. I have always had great service from them. The staff is not only professional but very pleasant and accommodating, and Dr. Pfister is fantastic and very personable. I recommend him and them highly.

I called AOA two days ago to cancel my appointment; I am sick and had been exposed to someone who had COVID-19. My appointment was rescheduled for later this month. Easy transition and very helpful. I received a call this morning from AOA; I was told that I was late and was I coming for my appointment? . . . no, I called two days ago. Whomever I spoke with was super polite and saw that I had been rescheduled. We all make mistakes or have things get miscommunicated. No big deal. This is minor. I am still happy to be going to AOA.

I didn't know what to expect on my first visit. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased. I'm sorry I didn't get the name of the girl who took care of me, but she was very thorough and kind. All in the office were very pleasant and kind to a new patient. I will refer Aesthetic Oral Arts in the future.

Very disappointed and upset! I've been a customer here for years! I set up a teeth cleaning in July. Today I arrived at my appointment early and checked in. I was brought in and asked if I'd like to have X-rays. I told them if my insurance would cover it I'd be okay with it. They called my insurance, came back in and said they weren't in my network and normally insurance would cover 20% of it but they weren't sure. I told them if I was made aware of needing X-rays before my scheduled teeth cleaning I would have checked with my insurance to be prepared but since I wasn't aware I'd rather wait and do X-rays next time when I could call my insurance and go over the cost. Then they refused to do my scheduled teeth cleaning! I've never left a bad review about a company before, but this is ridiculous. To have a scheduled appointment for two months and never be told X-rays are required. This Made me feel like they were trying to pull one over on me by charging more services to get more money! What a waste of my time!
