I was recommended this practice from another dentist who told me this is where she would send her own family. I can definitely see why. This is a state of the art practice that is clean, modern, and well lit. The staff did a superb job.
Everything about my experience was enjoyable. I felt like the practice used all of the most advanced and best technology out there which gave me a wonderful feeling of confidence. Dr Zelby has been my dentist now for almost 17 years. Not only is he a really nice person, his dentistry is completely top notch. If you need any restorations, I don't think that there is another place to even consider. You'll be amazed with his work!
Dr. Levine was great, and Dr. Zelby stopped by and answered some questions I had about sheering forces on enamel. They were both very friendly, and the hygenist (whose name I forget, unfortunately) gave one of the most thorough cleanings I've ever had. The office was clean, the devices all seem shiny and well maintained, and overall it was a great experience
After going to another dentist, doctor Zelby was able to fix my front two teeth so that the front two teeth were back to the same length and color. I'm so thankful he was able to make them look normal again. Dr. Zelby and his staff are so pleasant to be around as well. I highly recommend this office if you have a major problem with your teeth that need to be fixed. He can get it done and he will make sure you are happy.
I had been going to the same dentist for many years and switched to Aesthetic and Implant recently. My experience with Dr Levine was incredible. I cannot be happier with the decision I made. As a college student at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Atlanta dentist, David Zelby, DDS became interested in dentistry as he observed senior students busily occupying themselves making models of teeth and crafting their dental projects. This embarked his lifelong interest in perfecting dental techniques and helping his patients be pain-free while changing their lives as they experienced smiling again or maybe for the first time. The rewards of handing a patient a mirror and seeing the glow of their faces is a life confirming commitment for me, explains Dr. Zelby. He earned his general dental degree from the New York University School of Dentistry in 1974.
After graduating, he spent one year in general practice residency at French and Polyclinic Hospital in New York City. Dr. Zelby continued his education to become a certified prosthodontist at South Carolina College of Dental Medicine. Prosthodontics is a specialty in dentistry, recognized by the American Dental Association and requires two to three years of extra dental school after completion of a general dentistry degree. This higher level of training allows a prosthodontist to perform a higher level of dentistry with greater expertise. The primary focus of a prosthodontist is all treatments of restorative dentistry and full mouth reconstruction.
He began his career in dentistry working with Dr. Ervin Goldstein in 1985. Later Dr. Zelby established his own practice in Atlanta locating in Midtown. In 1992 Dr. Zelby moved his practice to the Cobb Galleria Office Park and established Aesthetic & Implant Dentistry of Atlanta. His practice expanded in 2010 and Aesthetic & Implant Dentistry built a new state-0f-the art dental center located in the 200 Building at Cobb Galleria. Dr. Zelby is known in Atlanta as being a compassionate and gifted cosmetic dentist and dental implant specialist in Atlanta, well-versed in both general and prosthodontic procedures. He skillfully blends art and advanced dental techniques changing the smiles of thousands of Atlantans over the course of thirty years.
Education has always been paramount in Dr. Zelbys career and he taught at Emory University Dental School for 12 years. Currently, Dr. Zelby is a clinical professor of dentistry at Georgia Regents University School of Dental Medicine, formerly Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry.
As an educator, Dr. Zelby recognizes that dental technologies change often and he is deeply committed to continuous training in his field so that hes able to offer the latest, most effective and least painful methods to his patients. He devotes muchof his extra time staying on top of scientific and technological developments in general and prosthetic dentistry.
Public service is another hallmark of Dr. Zelbys career and an area in which hes placed great personal importance. He is Chief of Staff Emeritus at the Ben Massell Dental Clinic, where volunteer dentists treat Atlantas underprivileged needing dental care. Ben Massell is the only dental clinic in the United States staffed solely by volunteers. Because of his lifelong commitment to helping people, Dr. Zelby was named Honorary Senator for the state of Georgia by Governor Casey Cagle in August, 2008. In 2002, the Atlanta community honored Dr. Zelby by presenting him a Community Service Award in recognition of his countless hours of service to Atlantas underprivileged.
Aesthetic & Implant Dentistry of Atlanta welcomes Dr. Ross Levine to our practice. Dr. Levine grew up nearby in Alpharetta, Georgia. He earned his undergraduate degree with highest honors from Georgia Tech, his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University (formerly MCG), and completed his residency in general dentistry at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with an emphasis on cosmetic, digital, and sports dentistry.
Dr. Levine co-founded Dentists for Della, a nationally recognized oral care program for war veterans at the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home. In addition, he has been a dental screener at the Special Olympics and treasurer for the Give-A-Smile Foundation. In dental school, Dr. Levine received the Geriatric Dentistry Award at MCG for excellence in knowledge and service to the geriatric population. He was inducted into the Alpha Upsilon Phi Honors Society for leadership and philanthropic service to the Medical College of Georgia.
After completing dental school, Dr. Levine was accepted into a residency at the University of Michigan, an intensive extra year of advanced training on the most up-to-date cosmetic procedures and materials, including porcelain laminate veneers and crowns, dental implants, digital impression technology, dental lasers, and current whitening procedures. During his time in Ann Arbor, Dr. Levine was also a team dentist for the University of Michigan Wolverines hockey team. He is an active member of several dental organizations including the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, American Dental Association, and Georgia Dental Association.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Levine served on the young professional board of ORT, a non-profit that offers skills and training to impoverished communities. He and his wife also enjoy a wide variety of hobbies including traveling, skiing, and hiking. He loves live music and is a fan of Georgia Tech football.
Dr. Heilperns strong interest in research led him to join Dr. David Zelby and his team at Aesthetic and Implant Dentistry of Atlanta in January 2021. His influence will guide the practice in implementing the latest materials, technology, and techniques. Joining Aesthetic & Implant Dentistry of Atlanta allows Dr. Heilpern to continue his research and educational goals in keeping with his practice philosophy of providing his patients with advanced dental procedures.
Dr. Heilpern is highly versed in all areas of the dental profession. He has received advanced training in Invisalign and has a special interest in various cosmetic and surgical dental procedures. He strives to treat patients with compassion and respect while focusing on communication to ensure complete understanding before, during, and after dental treatment.

Had a dental gum procedure and the entire practice went above & beyond to insure my comfort and put me at ease. Dr Levine was kind and thorough in explaining the procedure to me. Jordan was welcoming and helpful in getting me settled in and told me what to do post procedure. Dawn did an amazing job with the procedure. She was excellent in her ability and was very efficient. Her professional attitude was exceptional. And she is very service oriented and friendly. Highly recommend Aesthetic & Implant Dentistry. I have been a very satisfied customer for 25 years when Dr Zelby was beginning his practice.

This is probably the best dental experience I've had. Dr. Zelby is awesome. Very patient, discusses everything with you thoroughly before any work is done. Gives you your best options even if they're not the most expensive route to go. I love his staff. His assistants are amazing, friendly, constantly check in to make sure you feel no discomfort. He goes out of his way to make your dental experience with him as comfortable as possible. I needed what I would call an extensive amount of work done. Root canals, posts, crowns...multiple visits. every single apt I was greeted with great customer service from the front and very gentle work in the chair. That's not something I've ever been able to say about a dentist. He double and triple checked his work every time and made sure i was satisfied as well before adhering the final steps. Any unforseen circumstances that arose Dr. Zelby dealt with head on and made it his priority to rectify ASAP. I never felt rushed or pressured in to anything I didn't like or agree with. His pricing is very fair compared to today's market. I read previous reviews on this practice before deciding to use them for my dental needs. There were a few negative comments, but they far from outweighed the positive; I'm very glad I didn't listen to the negative, Truly. I don't believe anyone could have done better work. I'm actually very confused about the negative remarks. They are 100% the opposite of my MANY experiences with this practice. Probably upwards of 5 maybe 6 apts I had with them. I'd say don't always believe what you read, but I would very much encourage you to believe me. I promise you, you will not regret choosing this practice for your dental needs. I am very confident in my referral to Dr. Zelby.

Problem: bottom front teeth ground down. Dentist options offered scary and hard to accept. Discouraged and somewhat hopeless. Friend who knew my plight told me Dr. Zelby had saved her teeth. Is there hope for me? Made appointment for consultation, keeping expectations low.. Met w/Dr Zelby, EVERYTHING changed. His compassion & care as we discussed a plan for reconstruction, I knew I was where I was meant to be. Outcome: Dr Zelby did bonding procedure on 5 teeth. Gave me mirror... I was close to tears! Beyond belief, teeth are beautiful & natural. Dr Z & Sandra have my upmost respect and gratitude. Oh yea...his sense of humor

I gave Dr Zelby and his assistants 5 stars because they were able to restore a front tooth I had broken off at the gum line. My general dentist and TMJ specialist recommended I have the tooth extracted and get a dental implant. Thanks to Dr. Zelby, his assistants, Sandra and Zach, that wasn't the outcome,they were able to save and restore my tooth.They were very kind and patient, detailed oriented, they are satisfied with nothing less than the highest standard of care.

Brilliant is the word for Dr. Zelby and his team especially his remarkable assistant Sandra. My journey started February 2020 despite the pandemic and a few obstacles along the way, Dr Zelby exceeded my expectations and I am pleased with the service received. My wife wanted to schedule a simple teeth cleaning. Initially, they ended up rescheduling the appointment twice, once due to lack of staffing and the second time without giving any reason why. Once she was able to finally get into her appointment, they informed her that they don't just do cleanings. All cleanings supposedly must come with an X-ray, which has never been the case at any other dental office I've been to. Here's the thing, they don't tell you this over the phone; only once you appear in person and of course there is a sudden up-charge for it. They claimed that it is "unethical" for them to clean someone's teeth without performing an X-ray, which is just patently false. My family is of the mindset that we only get X-rays a few times a decade unless there is pain. They also tried to upsell her to remove her wisdom teeth because "food can get stuck"....really? *sarcastic eye roll* again, we aren't going to just remove our teeth because sometimes popcorn kernels get stuck. I've had my wisdom teeth removed, but only because they we causing me extreme pain, not because some apple skin likes to hide there that I can floss out. There are plenty of other good dentists in the area that will not try to upsell unnecessarily and will be forthcoming with their pricing and requirements at the outset.

3 years ago I had a front tooth cap that had broken off at the gum line and had been told by other doctors that I needed extensive surgery to remove the root of the broken tooth (which had already had a root canal many years prior when they installed the cap) and bone grafting in order to get an implant. I did not think all of the surgery and grafting should be required since I already had a socket where the old root had been. I was told that it could be upward of 4 months before I could get an implant and I had a vacation planned in 2 months and did not want to be wearing a flipper tooth on my trip. After researching Dr. Zelby and his experience with aesthetic dentistry, I figured he would be the one to help me, if anyone could. I couldn't have been more right. Dr. Zelby, without prompting him with my theory, came right out with the same conclusion - why would I need a graft when I already had partial tooth (root) in the socket? He and I met impromptu with the Oral Surgeon, Dr. Bankston, on the day of my exam and we all agreed it could be done and I could have a temporary implant on the day of the surgery in time for my vacation, and as long as I exercised great care with it, I should be fine. After my return, I'd be fitted with the permanent implant. He and Dr. Bankston pulled it off like magicians. I had a good looking temporary front tooth in time for my vacation. Upon returning, I received a nice looking implant that looked very natural. The color match was very good and no one can tell that it's not my natural tooth. I have been going to him ever since for cleanings and other dental work, including to facings to close up gaps in my smile. The care I've received had been exemplary and I am very pleased with Dr. Zelby's work. He is well worth the visit and the money. I now get complimented on my smile all the time, which is quite a departure from the days when I had gaps and crown that was poorly matched before it broke.

Let me start by saying that Dr. Zelby is world class! My case was very complicated... I was replacing a Marilyn bridge with implants that I had installed 20 years ago when I was 15. The implant was being done on my lateral incisors #7 & #9. My home dentist did not have the specialized skills to perform the restoration so, I was referred to Dr Zelby. He is a prosthodontist. I had three different opinions for the work I needed. The other dentists wanted to blow away all my front teeth and install veneers. Zelby was the only one that appreciated my natural teeth. He was great a communicating my options and the pros and cons of each outcome. I put my total trust in Zelby and he delivered strong. If you have something complicated going on that requires highly specialized skill, then Dr Zelby is your man. Even after I moved from Atlanta to Seattle, I choose to stay with his practice because they know what they are doing. He is worth every penny.

Awesome experience every time I visit the office. Staff is always friendly and courteous. I enjoy Dr. Zelby's witty personality. He makes you laugh so you relax and before you know it the procedure is over. Not all dentist are created equal. Trust me, I have tried other practices and Dr. Zelby's skills are more advanced. He has techniques to replace a broken tooth that other dentists have said only a surgical implant will do. I trust him implicitly and you can too. I highly recommend him. Good service but extremely overpriced - be sure to get written estimate before implant completion. They charged twice what others charge to place new tooth (more than $3000 instead of $1500). This was on top of the $3500 I paid oral surgeon who removed original tooth and placed the implant post.

My visit was fantastic! I received and completed all forms electronically prior to my visit. I was seen on time. In addition, all necessary precautions were taken to ensure that I was not infected. The staff was great!
