Dr. L. Rase Woods is originally from Soda Springs, Idaho. He is the 4th of 5 children, and is very close with his family. Dr. Woods was introduced to dentistry at an early age due to his mother being a dental assistant. The combination of helping people in the health care profession, in conjunction with the art and science of dentistry intrigued him early on and he knew dentistry was what he wanted to send his life doing.
Dr. Woods went to Idaho State University. From there, he continued on to complete dental school in South Jordan, Utah at Roseman University College of Dental Medicine where he received his DMD degree. While living in Utah he met his wonderful wife Tabitha and have a young son named Summit.
Dr. Woods is an active person and loves being outside, from hiking, snowboarding, shooting, fishing, and just about any other excuse to enjoy being out in nature. He began running early in life and that passion has continued to grow and is still a big part of his life today.
Dr. Woods and his wife love being in Alaska, and being part of this great community. He prides himself on doing whats best for you and your oral health. Dr. Woods enjoys educating his patients on their needs and treatment, and ensuring they have a good experience.

Wonderful warm professionals! My first time to a Dentist in years. No insurance. They took time and explained everything. So blessed they have an in-house dental plan. Nicest Dentist and staff!

Fantastic service at Aesthetic Family Dentistry. I've been going here for about 12 years. Every member of staff makes you feel well cared for and looked after. They are so good with kids too! My oldest was very afraid of his first dentist visit and they worked extra hard to make it fun and comfortable. 10/10 would recommend!

I absolutely LOVE this place. My children and I use a variety of their services. Everything from cleanings, regular checkups, repairs, to Invisalign. They are knowledgeable about billing insurance companies, super friendly, incredibly easy to work with & available when we have an emergency. I won't go anywhere else.

Tried to make an appointment about a month ago because I was having problems with a tooth, and was rudely turned away by the receptionist. All she said was "were not taking Medicaid patients" and hung up on me. Didn't think it would be a problem since they're always boasting about how they'll take anyone, especially when they're in pain. Called her out and now I'm blocked from their fb page

Update: I was a patient for about 8 years. Their lack of my records and ducking responsibility for their behavior is yet another stunning example of their patient care and attention to detail.

Just recently got had a root canal done here, it's was by far the best experience I've ever had at any dentist. Dr. Scott and the entire team, worked around my schedule and helped me get my work done as quickly as possible. Not to mention I have pretty bad dental anxiety, but It was 100% painless and they were so helpful through the entire process. I highly recommend Aesthetic dental to anyone who needs work done.

I've used this dentist for years, great dentist. Not so great staff. I tried to schedule an appointment but was told I couldn't unless I could give them my insurance number which I didn't have on me at the time of the call. I asked if I could pay cash and make an appointment and was still denied the ability to make an appointment. Bummer I have to find a new dentist. Insurance trumps cash.

I was blown away by their up to date equipment and excellent customer care. The front office is warm and comfortable as you wait and the ppl there where so understanding of my pain and where quick to get me in also they are open on Saturdays as a self employed person this is excellent for me. I would definitely recommend them. Two thumbs up

I give Aesthetic Family Dentistry 5/5 stars. I'm terrified of the Dentist usually- I hate needles, I don't like the feeling of my teeth being messed with, the list goes on. Dr Woods listens and works with me on my anxiety. He tells me everything he's doing, his work isn't just good- it's thoughtful as well. The assistants are happy, fun, outgoing, also tell you everything that's going to be done, and help lighten the mood if you're stressed. The whole operation is really friendly and professional. This place makes up for my awful luck of dental genetics. I would really prefer to not be at the dentist as much as I am, but since It's inevitable - I'm happy it's at Aesthetic Family dentistry :D
