For me, aesthetics means that when you design something that functions well for you, it will also be inherently beautiful. I follow the Biomimetic Dentistry principles and am the only one in Boulder. Its really incredible. Its more natural and helps both retail and mimic your natural teeth structure.
Our team cares about people even more than we care about smiles. Working closely with her team, Dr. Schmidt took over Dr. Chamberlins practice in early 2020. She has been careful to maintain the incredible protocols he had in place while expanding services, technology, and the type of care Dr. Schmidt and her team want to offer to the Colorado community.
Dr. Schmidt is a highly accredited dentist and cosmetic dentistry expert. She advanced her training and started her career at one of the Top 3 Dental Schools in the nation. She did her residency at Denver Health, where she committed to a yearlong, highly competitive advanced training protocol in a hospital setting to level-up her approach to complex and emergency dental care.
She subsequently chose The Dawson Academy because of their long-standing commitment to dental excellence and innovation. Theyre internationally known to provide the highest level of training for dentists who want to specialize in the clinical mastery of aesthetic dentistry.
Shes always known that owning her own practice was her goal. After obtaining comprehensive-care experience with mentors and thousands of patients, she solidified her vision for a practice that is in-step with todays lifestyles.
Dr. Schmidt is committed to understanding what patients need, having a highly trained, accountable, and kind team, and counting on precision technology to find the real problem. Her patients appreciate her comprehensive point of view, high-end care, honesty, and commitment.
She graduated from the University of Iowa, College Dentistry in 2010. After completing her dental training, Dr. Andrea decided to strengthen her dental skill and knowledge to provide her patients with the best care possible. She completed a one-year general dentistry residency at Denver Health and Hospitals. While there, she gained additional experience in emergency treatment, treating children, medically compromised patients, and complex procedures.
Dr. Schmidt loves living in Colorado. It fits her active, inquisitive, healthy approach. Shes also a competitive boxer and two-time Colorado Golden Glove State Champion. She loves the mountains and enjoys skiing, hiking, and camping as long as her beloved retriever Penny can join in the fun. On Saturdays, you can find her cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes football team, even though she realized most of her patients prefer The Buffs.

I've had pretty "bad" teeth and orthodontic issues since childhood and came to Dr. Schmidt hoping for the first time to have a real smile I could enjoy. As soon as I step in the office I feel a great sense of welcoming and comfort (hello, snack station and super sweet and helpful front desk!). Nina has helped me take control of my oral hygiene. I'm now almost to the end of the major work I needed done, and I am so grateful. She has not only transformed my form, but my teeth actually FUNCTION now! Dr. Schmidt is so committed to excellence and it shows in every aspect of the experience. I am always calm and confident knowing I'm in such good hands of her and her assistant. She is up to date on the best techniques and technology, gentle, caring...and there's a gravity blanket, Bose headphones, TV, lavender-infused face cloths, vitamin E for your lips. What more could you ask for? :P

I don't know if most people look forward to their dental appointments like I do, but they should. The front desk staff is always polite and professional. Nina is such a fabulous hygienist and really cares about her patients. Dr. Schmidt takes the best care of my smile works with the best technology in the area. I highly recommend their practice.

The entire staff at Aesthetic Dentistry is committed to making an exceptional experience for their patients. Our family of four has been seeing Dr. Dre for years. They've helped us so much more than teeth cleanings and fillings. They are looking out for our overall oral health and how to achieve it realistically. It's easy to schedule appointments, they communicate complex topics with ease, and they're pretty funny as a bonus! I'd highly recommend them to everyone in Boulder!

I would highly recommend!. Very happy with the dental work needed. Dr. Schmit keeps you informed as she works. Wonderful that they made my crown in the office as I waited. The whole staff is very caring and professional. Just had my teeth cleaned wonderful informed dental Hygienist

I've been looking my whole life for a good dentist. I'm so grateful to have found a team of people that care about your comfort, happiness and being relaxed. Nina is a fountain of knowledge and showed me I have TMJ (I've never been to a practice that does this). They are giving me affordable options, great advice and feedback. After two visits my teeth sensitivity went away and I plan on coming back for cosmetic as well. Again I really appreciate the honesty held in this office and high quality treatment

Andrea Schmidt is the best dentist I have ever been to in all my life. Her practice, Aesthetic Dentistry of Boulder, is extremely professional, efficient and warm, it is such a pleasure to have gone to them for cosmetic as well as regular dentistry needs for myself. My cosmetic needs were whitening, broken bonding, cold sensitivity, and a chipped tooth. Dr Schmidt lead me through teeth whitening and then matched my new bondings to my new whitened teeth color. The color of my natural teeth was a challenging color to match because it was a light white but had a darker undertone and translucency that was hard to match with the bonding paste colors. Dr Schmidt tailored a color to my teeth which had a very light color on the top layer and a little darker tone underneath so that it would match my natural teeth but still push my smile in the whitest direction possible while still maintaining a natural consistent look. She also was able to make my two front teeth slightly longer than they originally were, at my request, which looks so good but also totally natural. If you are considering veneers I would also look into bonding with Dr Schmidt as an alternative, I think it can look much better, more natural. I am just so grateful for the state of the art excellence of this dentistry practice, I've moved around a lot and been to many dentists in my life, and this one is hands down the best one I've ever been to. Thank you Dr Schmidt for taking such amazing care of my teeth and smile!!

If you're looking for a high quality dentist to trust for the long term, look no further. Dr Schmidt is a total professional and the wonderful staff in this office makes for a warm, friendly environment. After a few bad experiences of other dentists who would make up problems to 'fix' just to charge me, this dentist is honest and focused on preventative care. I really cannot recommend them enough!

After visiting three cosmetic dentists, I chose Dr. Andrea Schmidt to replace cosmetic bonding on my front teeth. I chose Aesthetic Dentistry of Boulder because Dr. Schmidt earned my trust and confidence in her abilities, as she explained the procedure in detail. Dr. Schmidt and her dental assistant were both professional and compassionate. I absolutely made the right decision because her cosmetic work is flawless. She worked confidently, efficiently and was meticulous as she evaluated the final results. I would highly recommend Dr. Schmidt for cosmetic work; she is excellent! The aesthetic results are perfect and she was sure to evaluate the health of my teeth. Her dental assistant is also outstanding. Also, the office staff is very kind and friendly!

These folks are the best! They really care about you and your experience. I've been a client of Dr. Chamberlin for a number of years, and always felt like the service was exceptional. I met Dr. Schmidt recently, and liked her, and look forward to being a client of hers. I've had the most interaction with Nina, the hygienist (I'm currently getting my teeth cleaned every 3 months), and she's always friendly, does a great job, and gives me tips to improve my dental habits. I consider her a friend, and look forward to seeing her (seems strange but true!). I just met this week new people in the office: Lidia, Alison, and Terry (hopefully those spellings are close). Terry did a challenging procedure on me today (challenging for me), and she checked that I was doing ok, explained what she was doing, was fast and efficient, and fun to interact with. Lidia and Alison were at the front desk, and friendly and fun to have a quick conversation with, while checking in or out. I've always felt respected and treated well; it's the only dentist office where I've felt that way. I've never felt dental appointments are "fun," but I want my mouth to be healthy; I can honestly say I look forward to the appointments, because the people are very good at what they do, and they treat you with respect and attention. Highly recommended.
