Dr. Cross is a highly trained prosthodontist-a dentist who specializes in implant, aesthetic and reconstructive dentistry to restore oral function through the use of prosthetics and restorative dental care. There are relatively few of these specialists in the United States. Dr. Cross is committed to updating his knowledge and improving his skills through continuing education and has earned well over 1,000 hours of advanced education. He and his staff have been well trained to perform all aspects of prosthodontics, including full dentures, removable partial dentures, fixed bridgework, implant restoration, cosmetic bonding and tooth colored restorations.
Dr. Chans career has focused exclusively on developing excellent clinical skills and providing personalized care in a private practice setting. She earned her dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine. She was honored by receiving the International Dental Award, which is given to one international student for academic and clinical excellence. Dr. Chan completed her Orthodontic Residency at Temple University, earning a Master of Science in Dentistry as well as a Certificate of Specialization in Orthodontics. During her years in training she has held positions of teaching assistant in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania and the Department of Orthodontics at Temple University.Prior to her education in the United States, Dr. Chan received her Bachelor of Medicine in Dentistry from the Taipei Medical College School of Dentistry. She completed a general practice residency at the Cathay General Hospital in Taiwan. During her general practice residency, Dr. Chan held the position of instructor and mentor to junior residents and interns. Having spent time as a general dentist, Dr. Chan has a keen understanding of the needs and concerns of referring doctors and their patients.
In order to increase her experience and broaden her knowledge base, Dr. Chan participated in the cleft palate program at St. Peters Medical Center in New Brunswick from 1992 to 1998. At this prestigious hospital program, treatment is provided to children born with craniofacial abnormalities. Dr. Chan has completed an impressive number of continuing education hours in orthodontics, temporomandibular joint disorders, orthognathic surgery, interdisciplinary dentistry and practice management. She is trained and certified in the use of Invisalign, a computer generated orthodontic treatment.
With her many years of extensive training and her clinical expertise in orthodontics, Dr. Chan delivers care with great skill, competence and consistency. She has been in private practice since 1991. Dr. Chan is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Middlesex County Dental Society and the American Dental Association.
As a board certified orthodontist, Dr. Chan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics a distinct honor held by only approximately 25% of all practicing orthodontic specialists. The American Board of Orthodontics is the only certifying board recognized by the Council on Dental Education of the American Dental Association for the specialty of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.

Highly and enthusiastically recommend this dental practice. Attention to sterilization efforts and protocols for COVID-19, including upgraded and enhanced air circulation system, are impressive and strictly adhered to. It is very reassuring to know that the staff takes these protocols very seriously. Additionally, the office offers a very comfortable and soothing environment, with soft music playing and huge windows overlooking a beautifully landscaped yard and resident wildlife. I have been coming to this practice for more than 20 years, and even though I have moved more than 30 minutes away, I make the drive because the staff here are the best.

If you want to overcome dental anxiety and enjoy luxurious white glove care Dr. Cross's practice is a fit for you too. A little over a year ago, I found myself in the middle of having 2 dental implants when the entire staff at the previous dental group changed without even a call to current patients. I was paralyzed with anxiety as I began to search for a new doctor to finish the implant process. My initial consultation was pre-covid and the experience was like no other, the team was gracious, gentle and took amazing care to explain treatment options and a path forward considering years of my extreme dental anxiety. The office was immaculate and serene decorated with original watercolors, botanical photographs, and live plants. The treatment rooms huge windows open to manicured gardens with beautiful water features. Since the pandemic they have increased measures and patient care remains exemplary. For the first time in my life, I have a healthcare provider partner who has created a space for healing well beyond my wildest expectations. With all of my heart I recommend Aesthetic Dental Group to everyone looking for a new provider.

I wish I could have had the chance to work with Dr. Chan, but the patient management staffing is lacking. I visited 3 places for consultation and found Dr. Chan to be the most thorough and knowledgeable, giving me confidence in her ability to give me the best outcome. She suggested I do the routine cleaning with Dr. Cross & Denise, since teeth shape/size can change after cleaning, and I agreed. I visited them in March, and also asked them to send a pre-determination for my treatment. I also have an email record of this including Barbara, the secretary, asking me for my dental insurance phone number. However, there has been a lot of miscommunication and disorganization since. Barbara called later asking if I could reschedule my cleaning to a month later which was fine for me. I called the day before to confirm my appointment and spoke with Barbara again who confirmed with me I was in the schedule. Except the next day, I came in and found out I was never put in the schedule? So I made an appointment with Denise that day for two weeks later. But then Barbara called me again later with no records of me in the schedule still - miscommunication amongst the staff. Also, even though I filled out the information for Dr. Chan online, and then Dr. Cross in person in the office (so 2x at this point), my information was apparently lost. I also found out that even though I asked for the pre-determination, and gave my dental insurance phone number and sent a follow-up email, the pre-determination was never sent in these past 4 months. I suggest for new patients, the onboarding is more structured. There was a lot of disorganization in just setting up an appointment as a new patient that made me feel uncomfortable.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Aesthetic Dental Group! Through out my years of being under the care of Dr. Cross and Dr. Chan, I have always left the office feeling great and well taken care of. This dental practice provides a relaxing, comfortable environment during each visit at the office. I also love all the additional staff members, they are so friendly and attentive to whatever I may need! If someone I knew was looking for a dentist in the area, I would refer Aesthetic Dental Group in a heartbeat!

I've been going to Aesthetic Dental Group for 3 years now and they have the best communication and caring attitude of any practice I've been too. I highly recommend them! The atmosphere in the office is serene and relaxed. They use dark glasses, neck pillows, and more to make patients comfortable. My last appointment was September 2020. Due to Covid-19 they have added additional ventilation and many other measures to be as safe as possible. Denise is the dental hygienist and she always suggests helpful ways to floss or brush based on whatever is going on for me at the time. She is attentive, skillful and does a wonderful job. Dr. Cross is smart, competent, responsive, and a good listener. He takes the time to explain what he's doing and makes me feel cared for. Thank you Denise and Dr. Cross and all of the people there for being so dedicated and caring!

First visit after the Covid-19 shutdown. The office safety protocols set in place are impressive. A lot of meticulous thought and planning went into the decisions regarding air flow, sanitation, potential air droplets, air filtration, etc.... Many businesses only talk the talk but the Aesthetic Dental Group shows its sincere concern for patients' and employees' safety by its actions. I didn't think they could surpass their regular top rated services but today i was proven wrong. They've found ways to delight the customer even more.

The visit was great as always. The use of air filters, entrance protocols, such as temperatures and sanitizer were flawless. I felt very good about my dental treatment as well. I recommend this practice to anyone interested in not only a good dental experience, but proper health protocol in these times.
