Dr. Allen is a native of Southern Arizona and is the proud papa of eight children. He still finds time to enjoy the outdoors and is constantly striving for improving the patients experience at Aeris Family Dental. After working in the Phoenix area for a large dental group, Dr. Allen decided to come back home to Tucson. What he learned from his time working for non-dentists has provided the foundation for Aeris Family Dentals exceptional patient care. Aeris Family Dental is locally owned by dentists not CEOs of a major corporation.
Dr. Allen attended the University of Arizona and received his Doctorate at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Dr. Allen has many affiliations with professional organizations and takes great pride in the amount of continuing education that he participates in each year. He will always take the time to educate his patients.
Dr. Mortenson is also a native of Southern Arizona having grown up in the small farming town of Elfrida, Arizona. Dr. Mortenson attended The University of Arizona and is very proud to be a Wildcat! While at school, he dated and married his wife, Collette. He and Collette then ventured to Kentucky for dental school at the University of Louisville. Although Dr. Mortenson will never catch up with Dr. Allen and Dr. Alston, he and Collette are the proud parents of four children, three girls and one boy. It is not unusual to bump into Dr. Mortenson and his family at U of A sporting events. They live in the Marana area and enjoy many outdoor activities such as camping and hiking. Having previously worked for a large dental corporation and a public health clinic, Dr. Mortenson has seen two different extremes when it comes to dental practices. Through that experience, he has become committed to the dentist-owned business model where treatment decisions can be made by a doctor and a patient without outside influences. Dr. Mortenson focuses on keeping his patients comfortable and enjoys helping patients understand the importance of their oral health.
Dr. Sonico was born and raised in the small town of Prunedale, California. Amidst all his long hours studying Biology at Utah Valley University, he was lucky enough to meet his beautiful wife Cassie. Dr. Sonico and Cassie have since grown their family with one girl and two boys.Dr. Sonico graduated cum laude from Utah Valley University and earned his Doctorate from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. There he excelled and was among the best in class in his clinical skills.In the past, Dr. Sonico has spent time working for large dental corporations. Dr. Sonico feels very strongly about lifetime patientcare that is overseen solely by doctors within the practice. Dr. Sonico is very passionate about serving patients within his community and providing them with the most comfortable dental experience possible. He always takes time to answer questions, address concerns, and explain oral health on a level his patients can understand.When he has the free time, Dr. Sonico enjoys woodworking, cooking, playing the guitar and spending time with his family.
Dr. Tuli has a passion for dentistry and enhancing her patients lives. She strives to provide a caring, comfortable and superior dental experience to all by easing dental anxiety, relieving pain and improving patients smiles.After graduating from YMT Dental College and Hospital Dr. Tuli received her Doctorate from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Tuli is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Pima Study Club and the Spear Study Club. She is currently the President of the Southern Arizona Dental Society,When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Tuli enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. Dr. Tuli also enjoys performing and choreographing Indian Classical Dance. She once held a private performance for Mother Teresa. She was also a member of the award winning Stop Gaps Choral Ensemble. She sang at the Vatican for the birthday of Pope John Paul II. Dr. Tuli is fluent in five languages; English, Hindi, Marathi, French and German.

The staff is so friendly and they put you at ease no matter what procedure you are having. Dr. Mortenson is so professional and is an excellent dentist. I would recommend Aeris family dental to everyone.

Aeris family dental, these guys are awesome!! I was looking for a dentist for reasons that don't have anything to do with this review. I walked in and asked when I could get my teeth cleaned, fully expecting as a new patient it would be several weeks or a month out. The response they gave me was, can you be back in a couple hours? A couple hours!!!! Absolutely I can be back in a couple hours! That's been several years ago and I still do not have one negative thing to say about anyone I've had interactions with there. I feel "at home" there. It's not like you're in a cave, everything is quiet, you can't hear anybody talking. This place is like a real "homey" feeling. You can hear people talking, there is interaction between co-workers, even laughter. Yes, laughing in a dentist office. The kind of feeling I have there makes me feel like the employees care about their job, and their patients. A huge shout out to Kendra, she's my hygienist, THE BEST!!! I am not a huge fan of going to the dentist, but, if I have to get my teeth taken care of somewhere, it might as well be at a place I don't hate to be. Thanks everyone, I finally don't dread getting my dental work done.

Appointment times are normally within 5 minutes of the appointment time, before or after the scheduled time. The Staff are great, friendly and kind and Dr Mortenson is equally as kind and makes the visit to the dentist a much better experience.

My child had an abscessed tooth and her current pediatric dentist was making it super difficult to have her seen so I called them since they are my dentist. Not only did they see her the same day, they treated the problem right then and there! They were so nice as well, and made a difficult procedure so much easier. We will be patients for life. A HUGE thank you to the staff at Aeris Family Dental for an excellent first visit! Kendra is an absolute dream of a dental hygienist! Such a lovely personality with a wealth of knowledge and experience - AND she is the first dental hygienist I've ever had that showed genuine concern for my comfort/gum sensitivity during my cleaning. Dr. Mortenson is very kind, efficient, thorough, and has built a wonderful practice inside a stunning facility. I didn't quite catch the name of the receptionist but she also had a warm & kind presence! Thank you all for such a great first visit!

Dr. Mortensen is both very skilled and very compassionate. Even though I'm an old hand at having to endure dental work (fillings, braces, dental surgery, caps, and bridges), I still get nervous before each procedure. In the hands of Dr. Mortensen and his competent and gentle staff, I feel much more confident that the experience will go well. I appreciate that they use up-to-date technology as well. Everyone here is very professional, competent, and empathetic.

We sought out a great dentist after our last great dentist retired. Not fun experiences and they were horrible. But by personal recommendations we found Aeris Dental. Dr Kevin has excellent technical expertise and is able to perform the work, which has to be done, in a way that a nervous patient does nicely. Highly recommend and the hygienists are great as well. What other dentist office follows up by calling and making sure that all is well. I've even had the pleasure of Dr Kevin personally checking in with me. We couldn't be happier.

After moving to Tucson 5 years ago I was in search of a modern dentist office with excellent staff as I was used to in New England. It took me a few tries with other dentists until I finally found Dr.Mortensen and his wonderful and very competent assistant Mindy. I was so please with their care that I had them replace three very old deteriorated fillings with crowns in a row. I lost my fear of needles and dental work thanks to the efficient and compassionate way the procedures were handled. Thank you !! I highly recommended Dr. Mortensen's office due to my personal experiences.

I am a new patient with them i am not one to go to the dentist but i had to go why well not going to the dentist caught up with me lol.... they are the best i do not dread going to see them i have had 3 teeth pulled and a cavity drilled and filled and did not feel a thing I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. Well not my enemies they can stay with there dentist. Great bunch of people....... i look forward to my next visit. Thank you aeris family for your work and professionalism... see u in 2 weeks

Excellent service for both myself and my wife. Called with a filling that fell out as a new patient. Was in the office that same morning. Scheduled a cleaning for later in the week. Fast service, little waiting prior to being brought in for the appointment. Will be using them for all my dental needs.
