Well at 8:40 am I got a callback because I needed to reschedule my appointment. The person who called me to reschedule the appointment was VERY RUDE n VERY ANTAGONIZING. She was very impatient with me. She was barking like a dog to me n that wasn't nice at all. That was a huge turn off for me. Sadly I don't know the name of this mean person. But she called me to reschedule my appointment today Monday November 7 at 8:40am. She gave me terrible customer service, the worse. And she even tried to send me away just because I said that you guys are very inflexible in regards to appointments, which I'm sorry to say it's true. I don't drive. I take the public transportation so I need a dentist close enough. And I've been having trouble finding a dentist with my health insurance. And to make things worse, she hug up on me when I was trying to tell her how I felt. Completely UNACCEPTABLE!! I believe in KARMA, which means what goes around comes back around I have now an appointment for February 16 at 10am. So when I go there on that day, I expect you Guys to give me good service. Just because I wrote a bad review, it DOES NOT give you the right to ever cancel my appointment without my consent and approval. So DO NOT cancel anything I'm not trying to be rude but the customer service I received was garbage. So I'm very much UPSET!! However, there was one nice lady who was very understanding n very sweet n her name is Kimberly. She was very friendly n compassionate n I'm very grateful for that Many Many blessings

Wildly incompetent service. Broke a tooth, called in and they said come in tomorrow at 1. I showed up at 12:45. Waited there until 2:45. Apparently there wasn't even anyone to do xrays that day or even a doctor in the office. Multiple other patients were really angry as well. This is absolutely unacceptable and also like illegally to run a dental office without an on staff dentist. Unbelievable. Oregon health authority will be my next phone call today. You guys need to shut down if you can't competently operate a medical facility. You can't mess with people's health like that. Im willing to edit this review if I receive an explanation and a remedy to this situation, otherwise I encourage EVERYONE that reads this, to also call the Oregon health authority and report them.

I went there because my k nine tooth decade inside the tooth the tooth outside was perfect still and he told me they couldn't save my tooth. What kind of dentist can't save a perfectly good tooth. Am not pulling my tooth out because he says he can't save it. That's like a life guard saying ha your drowning but I can't save you it's too late. He's not trying to be in the patients best interest. I will not go back there again, and if I did I might as well just have him pull my tooth then. Thanks for the review hope it helps other people decide to go there or NOT!!!

If I could leave a Zero I would! I haven't even gone to the clinic to give it a chance and i'm already giving it a ZERO! I have been trying for TWO weeks to call and schedule a new patient apt for my 9 year old son who has Advantage dental insurance, but every time I call there is no answer, I leave a message and don't get a call back. I fill out an apt request form online and same thing don't get a call. I got through to someone ONCE and you can tell she didn't know what she was doing because she kept saying umm okay one second, then hung up instead and I haven't been able to schedule since. I'm getting his insurance switched instead now I see why they have such low ratings!

No one ever answers the phone or calls me back and it's really frustrating. Also the dentists education seems a bit limited and narrow focused. I was told that upon examination, a root canal I had suspected to be troublesome, was fine. I ended up going to a biological dentist and getting 3 D imaging of the tooth and it showed it was reinfected at the root tip.

so far i've called three times on different days during operation hours and have never been able to speak to someone at the front desk to make an appointment. i've left voicemails ever time and I have never had anyone reach out to me. it's been two weeks.

I absolutely dread this place. Our dentist office of many years was acquired by Advantage and the quality of service and the office staff is terrible. If ever you call , you never speak with anyone, rather are advised to leave a message and you will receive a call w/in 1 business day. Never has this happened, I don't receive a call back. Currently trying to resolve a bill for my daughter's cleaning that appears not to have been billed to insurance, but no return call. My family of 4 will not be returning to Advantage.

I have been taking my daughter here for many years, while I have had no problems with the dentist and ortho care. Getting someone to answer the phone is EXTREMLY DIFFICULT. It takes multiple voicemails and MAYBE someone will call you back, or 5 or 6 phone calls later someone will answer the phone. I have never been to a place where getting someone to answer the phone is so hard, I have had to come into the office before because I couldn't get thru on the phone. PLEASE work on answering your phone calls!

I have been going to this practice for at least 10 years. We are here because my family loves Dr. Hawes and Maxi .. such a gentle dentist and it's been great. The one tiny but starting to hit hard is the front office. Calls ring and ring, then goes to VM, and call back is sporadic, not consistent. Appt cancelations that cancel appts are also not very good with re -scheduling. However we are sticking through it because we like Dr. Hawes and she has been awesome to us. update: I was reading through other reviews.. seems that this is always a problem.. the dentists and dental assistants are GREAT but reception and call backs need a better system.

I've been calling to make an appointment for 3 days no one pick up the phone. I don't know how their staff been trained. Last time I stopped by they just sitting and chatting. Good luck trying to call them!

Been here once for a filling... Mouth got infected the very next day to where I couldn't open my mouth and had to get emergency surgery at Kaiser... Then My follow up appointment these guys called me 2hrs before the appointment and cancelled...they told me I had another tooth that needed to be looked at soon, That was 2 months ago and I still haven't been able to schedule a NEW appointment as they never call back or answer... That tooth they pointed out is now having pain and I can't get ahold of them for the life of me.. THIS is who my insurance covers but man I might just pay out of pocket to go else where since they can't ever respond and even then I'm hesitant since my last tooth work with them didn't go well at all

I have been taking my Son to Advantage Dental for the past few years and I have to say, Dr Risley is AMAZING! I had really bad anxiety about going to the dentist as a kid and as a parent I still find myself stressed about taking my kids to the dentist. Dr Risley is so kind and caring and patient with my son. He always makes us both feel so comfortable about coming to the dentist! I highly recommend Dr Risley as well as the rest of the staff at Advantage Dental! Stay cool, Dr Risley!!

After waiting for 20 minutes in an empty room with a fussy toddler and nothing to do, Dr. Risley came in and apologized for the wait because he "was being yelled at by some mom" (I wonder why). He then proceeded to tell me that my child has cavities because they nurse (breastfeed). I'd love to link the multiple studies that have shown that that is more than likely NOT the case, but I'll hope that the professional can receive some more training in this area on his own. Nursing mothers receive enough shame without being blamed for their children's cavities, honestly. When I declined immediate silver fluoride treatment he proceeded to tell me that if I waited then they'd likely have to pull my child's teeth. Forgive me, but that seems an extreme to jump to rather quickly. Perhaps needless to say, but we'll be getting a second opinion and taking our business elsewhere.

They screwed up a filling on my girlfriends tooth cause the root to become infected and for the tooth to die. We are now at a better dentist correcting their mistakes. Not only do they not answer phone calls, their skill in cavity filling is suspect. I would recommend going to any other dentistry that you can find.

I am very disappointed by Advantage dental in Hillsboro and Beaverton location. My dad's crown fell off and I have been trying to reach them so they can make an appt. I have been trying since May, and no one is getting back to me. They have been canceling our cleaning appointments too! No one every picks up the phone. No one ever gets back to my voice message. Horrible horrible dental clinic! I feel like they don't even probably have any front desk people. How do people even reach them?

Worst dental group I have ever been been referred to. I broke a tooth while I was on vacation in Mexico. Called to find if I could get an appointment after I returned the following week. I was told in a v-mail they didn't have any appointments available. Called back again to see who their emergency contact would be. I called again 1 week later & still no return call within 24 hrs. Finally I got a call yesterday, 2 1/2 weeks later!! Told person my problem & mentioned I would be by today to sign release & get X-rays. Once again I was told it would be 24 hrs. to receive them. I'm betting I won't get those either. I don't know how they stay in business. They don't deserve even 1 star. Attitude & customer service is worse that I ever have had. Go somewhere else!!! 4/16 update: Called another dental office & got in the next day. They put a permanent crown in at that appointment. Completely pain free & totally happy with their customer service & professionalism. If you want to try them, the name is Hillsboro Modern Dentistry.

This place is awful! You can NEVER get a hold of anyone. I have been trying to reach someone in the office for 3 months now! I wait on hold for over 5 minutes each time, where no one at all answers during the hold the entire time, to be transferred to a voice mail that states I will get a call back in one business day. I left multiple messages with my best call back time and NEVER get a call back. It wasnt until I called the corporate office and explained the situation, did I receive a call back from the office I was trying to schedule an appointment at. And even then they still did not call at the times that I ask them to so the call was missed. All the while myself and my family have dental concerns that need to be addressed. This is not how you work in healthcare or handle people's Health. If you want good dental care I suggest you do not go to this place. There's also a particular dentist in my opinion, in this office (Hillsboro) who has terrible bedside manner while working with children.
