Dr. Ruder received his bachelors degrees from Iowa State University in 2010 and Colorado State University in 2017. He graduated dental school from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN, in 2021. He is currently a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association and the Washington State Dental Association. He is always trying to take new continuing education classes to further expand the dental care he can provide to the greater Sequim area.
Dr. Ruder grew up in the Kansas City, KS, area. Between his two bachelors degrees he served in the Army as a medic being stationed at Fort Drum, NY and completing one tour in Afghanistan from 2011-2012. He and his wife, Melissa, have three children. They enjoy all things outdoors and spend as much time outside as possible.
Dr. Ruder values being able to help patients prevent long term issues with their oral health by diagnosing problems before it is too late and giving patients as many options to achieve their goals as possible.

ADVANTA DENTAL is not just a dental practice that has been taking care of patients in Sequim and other surrounding areas, but we are a family. Each of our patients is thought of as an extension of our family and treated with compassion and genuine care.
Regular dental examinations at least twice a year are recommended by the American Dental Association for children and adults of all ages. During your examination, the dentist will check each tooth and the surrounding tissues including your gums, tongue, and cheeks. By doing this, the dentist will inspect every tooth for cavities, assess plaque levels to determine if gum disease is present, and look for any damages, like a broken tooth. We alsowill provide oral cancer examinations and examine your temporomandibular joint, or TMJ. This will allow us to create a personalized treatment plan just foryou.

Dr Boyack took over this practice and has little concern for long term patients of this clinic. His staff is great but he is part time and can't be bothered to follow up on a simple question without charging a consultation fee. He is ruining this practice.There are lots of other local dentists who actually care for their patients. Look elsewhere!

The new management, specifically Dr. Boyack REFUSES to treat my son with special needs. Yes, you read that right. Yet nothing has changed with my son who was welcomed by the former owner, Dr. Pocock and was treated many times by him. It's too bad Dr. Pocock has left. We miss him. Too bad the new Dr's kept the name among other things i'm sure, to use the reputation/clients Dr. Pocock had built. To bad, because the staff is top notch, very friendly and so helpful. Dr. Boyack stands out with his refusal as my son has been welcomed by others dentists now. Thank you to those dentists.

I made it clear even before, my first appt I was resistant to novicane. Even asked them to call an confirm with my former dentist. Dr. Pocock used novicaine anyway, even though they said they heard me. This happened during a root canal, the novicaine wore off, and he just kept using more novicaine, (unbeknownst to me) until he could not give me anymore. I felt the last 3 and a half hours, of a 4 hour ROOT CANAL. Even after this, the very next appt. he still tried using novicaine. I am 55 I have never had a problem going to the dentist, now I am terrified! Andrew Pocock is a terrible dentist. Also after working on one tooth, I had to go back the same day because he did not fix it to match my tooth on the other side. He flat refused to fix it. And then tried telling me "It has always been that way, and, I just noticed it for the first time!. Then he laughed in my face and escorted me out the door. Every filling but one has needed fixed, and that one, that had not, ....well, it failed about 30 min ago, and came out as I was biting into a welches fruit gummie. Which inspired me to post this review. If I were to say how I truly feel about this guy, it would include some very colorful four letter words. Suffice it to say, DDS Pocock sucks!

Regular dentist, they are super great and super nice, go out of their way for their patients no question. I always hated the dentist but I can say it's less dreadful now haha

Dr. Pocock and staff are wonderful!! Very professional with great chair side treatment. Best dental experience I've had. I have a hard time with anesthesia and numbing. Dr. Pocock was amazing!! Thank you!!

Dr Pocock and his staff are miracle workers. He has completed a complete upper mouth restoration, with implants and crowns. Dr Pocock has a wonderful chair-side manner, his office uses up to date technology and he truly cares about his patients. His dental assistants are professional and caring and do a excellent job whatever you need done. They make perfect crowns. The front desk girls are extremely friendly, professional and helpful. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is afraid of dentists for the care that you receive wipes away any fears or doubts. I now have a beautiful smile thanks to Dr Pocock!

Dr. Pocock is amazing and caring, and funny! His staff is also extremly nice and caring. I admit that I have been a dental phobic almost all my life, he changed that. Just had full upper implants from him and if you are thinking about going to that other place in Seattle, forget about it! He is wonderful and will be recommending him to any one who asks about a dentist!

I found doctor pocock by chance and thank god I did. I had a bad absessed tooth he and his staff took great care of me.I couldn't tell when the tooth was pulled that's how smooth it went.It's nice when you can feel that your doctor truly cares about taking you.i highly recommend Advanta Dental

Dr Pocock and his staff are the best I've ever found! I'm so afraid of getting my teeth worked on. They are very considerate of that and have done their best to make me comfortable...and they did it! The person who cleans my teeth does an awesome job with up to date tools. He cleans each tooth carefully and beautifully. The fillings the doctor does match perfectly and are done with little to no pain :) The receptionist finds appointments that are "as soon as needed" depending on the work that needs to be done. She's even got me in the next day! I absolutely love this dental office!
