Dr. David Rever graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1986, and 2020 marks his 34th year at his current location. He has taken thousands of hours of continuing education to remain at the forefront of orthodontics, restorative dentistry, implant dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Rever also completed training to treat sleep apnea and snoring.
Dr. Rever is a Senior Certified Instructor and Fellow of the International Association for Orthodontics. He is currently serving as President of the IAO and has previously served as a board member and the Mid Atlantic Section Representative.
He completed the IAO two-year comprehensive orthodontic training program and has been practicing orthodontics for over 30 years now. Dr. Rever is also the current President of this international professional organization.
As a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, he is commits himself to cosmetic dental excellence. Dr. Rever has completed a one-year comprehensive esthetic residency at the prestigious Esthetic Professionals Institute in Tarzana, California. He has completed thousands of restorative dental cases.
Dr. Rever has also completed the Implant Seminars Implant Dentistry Continuum, and Masters Series programs. He is a member of the International College of Oral Implantologists, and a Fellow of the International Dental Implant Association.
His combination of training and experience in dental implants, orthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry places him in a select group of dentists with this diversity of talents. With this broad range of skills, he is able to obtain excellent results with patients who have multiple cosmetic, occlusal, and restorative problems.
Samira graduated from Montgomery College with a degree in dental assisting and is a licensed Radiologic technician. She holds a certification in Expanded Functions and is also cross-trained in front desk duties. She joined our office in 2006 from Seattle, Washington, and has been working in the field for 10 years. Samira is of Lebanese descent and she taught English as a second language when she lived in Lebanon. She was born in Sierra Leone and is fluent in English, Arabic, and Creole.
Rebecca was born & raised in Montgomery County. Her career as a dental hygienist has spanned over 20 years and has been with our practice since 2010. From a very early age she knew that she wanted to be a dental hygienist. She received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene & Certification for delivery of anesthesia from the University of Maryland, School of Dental Surgery and has a Certification of Dental Hygiene from Howard University. She is passionate about dental hygiene and providing the best care to her patients to improve their overall health. She treats each person as an individual, providing personalized care, while educating and informing them of their current oral health.
Zoila joined our office in 1994. She is a qualified Dental Assistant who has been practicing in this field for the past 23 years. Zoila holds a certification in Expanded Duties which is the highest level of a Certified Dental Assistant. She is specialized and very knowledgeable in the use of the latest dental technology. Zoila speaks both English and Spanish fluently and she is originally from El Salvador, Central America.
Xiomara joined our practice in 2015. She is originally from Puerto Rico. She comes with over 10 years of experience in the dental field. She is certified as a Dental Radiation Technologist and Qualified in General Duties by the State of Maryland.
She earned an Associates degree in Dental Assisting with expanded functions from the National University College in Puerto Rico in 2005. She also earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the Universidad Metropolitana de Puerto Rico in 2014. Xiomara is very warm, and will always welcome you with a friendly smile. She enjoys nature and loves baking.
Qamar joined our practice in 2010 and came with a wealth of experience in health information management. She holds a degree in Health Information Management. She has trained with Paragon Management Associates Inc, Institutes leadership, and front office academy Jay Geiers Institute. Qamar is fluent in English and Urdu.

Most of the staff was friendly, but when I made my appointment I specifically asked for a gum specialist, which no one told me there wasn't one, then front desk said they sent me an email for new patients i checked my spam but I couldn't find it. When I arrived for my appointment one of the other staff members (super nice and helpful) sent me the link for new patients forms, but the front desk staff member didn't know and kept assuring me she sent it a long time ago and then was gossiping about me in the back which I heard. Overall very nice staff and they work well, they have a nice deal for cleaning and check ups, the dentist was very detailed in her examination which despite not being the specialist I was hoping to see made me glad I came for the visit along with the helpful staff that took my X-ray. Very friendly and detailed oriented. The front desk lady didn't do it for me but she was nice to me after I was done with my check up.

Advanced Dental Care has been my go to dental practice for 20 years. Dr Rever is a thorough and honest dental magician. His esthetic dentistry rivals the best LA has to offer. He uses the most up to date dental technology and he understands how to keep you comfortable. Rebecca is a first class hygienist who is thorough and patient centered. Samaria, the practice manager, keeps the entire practice patient centered. You can tell a practice where the staff are happy, professional, and love working together. This is that kind of place. Do not hesitate to come. It almost makes going to the dentist a pleasure.

I have been a patient of Dr. Rever's for over 30 years and started with him when he first opened his practice. Whether my care is routine or more complicated, I receive high quality state of the art dental care. Dr. Rever is meticulous, thorough, professional, and personable. Being a health provider myself, I have always been impressed how he continually incorporates the latest technology and learns new dental skills to develop an innovative practice. My dental hygienist, Rebecca, is superb. She is knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. She keeps my teeth and gums healthy, explains any findings that need attention and develops a solid plan of care. Rebecca informs Dr. Rever of any concerns or questions she has about her exam. Throughout the years, when I have needed more complicated dental procedures and had Zoila, his dental assistant, care for me. She is knowledgeable, caring, and responsive to my needs. The office administrative staff, Samira, and Elizabeth are professional, friendly, and helpful. Dr. Rever and his staff are just exceptional.

UPDATE: After multiple phone calls, I was informed that when I originally called, all I asked was whether they took my insurance (UHC), not whether they were in network. As a result, I was told yes, my insurance was taken. However, the part about me not being in network was left out. They have agreed to reduce my remaining bill by about 30%, contingent on me updating this review. I give three stars because the quality of the work received was very good. However, make sure you specifically ask whether or not you are in network so you avoid the situation I have gone through. ORIGINAL: I was not told that my insurance was not in network until AFTER getting major work done. Absolutely unacceptable.

My husband and I had Dr. Rever recommended to us by close friends, and we've now been seeing him and his staff since 2003. They are friendly, flexible, and diligent about their work. We've been using Rebecca Flores as our Dental Hygienist for many of those years and appreciate her kindness and attention to detail. She listens to questions and concerns and follows up when needed. We would recommend them highly to everyone, because good dental health leads to good overall health.

I've been a patient of Dr. Rever for about ten years and he's by far the best dentist I've ever had. And I'm 75 years old now, so I've known a few. The dental hygienist, Rebecca Amador, is also without question the best in my experience. She's extremely thorough, skillful, and pleasant.

I've been seeing Dr Rever for probably 25 years. He's awesome. Rebecca is my dental hygienist and does a wonderful job. They always make me feel comfortable, help me learn how to take care of my teeth, and are professional while being friendly with a smile. They also took extra steps to keep everyone safe while getting treatment during the worst of Covid. If you're looking for a new dentist, try here. The only negative comment I have is that they aren't a participating provider for Delta Dental insurance, but they do submit the claims paperwork for me.

Both my husband and I go to Advanced Total Dentist. I love everyone there. It is like a small knit family. Rebecca does wonders with my teeth. She is excellent. Dr. Rever is the best. They honestly care about their patients. Wouldn't go anywhere else. They take the time to explain and make sure you understand and are comfortable. No pressure.

I recently moved to Maryland from Virginia and for the past year I have been traveling one hour and half each time to see my dentist. I was apprehensive about getting a new dentist. Well that apprehension and fear was quelled today after my first visit to Dr. Rivers. The reception that I received from the staff calmed my fear. I felt like I was the only patient there today. I was laughing and joking with everyone like I had known them for a long time. The staff was very professional yet personable and relatable. I really appreciate the care that I received today and I am so grateful to my friend for the referral.
