Dr. Rustin Levy is a graduate of Tulane University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He received his Certificate in Periodontics and Masters of Medical Sciences in Oral Biology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He is Board Certified in Periodontics and is recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Levy is also proud to have been rated by his professional peers as the Top Dentist by Washingtonian magazine in both 2017 and 2019. He received the award based on their ratings, which took into account areas like Dr. Levys experience, dedication to continuing education, patient relations, the techniques and technology he uses, and the outstanding clinical results he achieves.
I love the smiles the patients have after their experience with our office. We are a small office and do our best to meet all expectations in making the patients feel comfortable and aware of their condition in our care. Saving one tooth at a time is what drives me.
Kiana is Dr. Levys assistant and has been working with him since 2015. A native of Rockville, Maryland, she received her assistant training at Everest Institute and Hands On Dental Assistant Training. She is a member of the American Association of Dental Office Management (AADOM) and the American Dental Association (ADA).

Advanced periodontics of Washington has always been such a good place. I feel that I am cared for, and the work is always done well. I like that the doctor explains, and makes clear what procedure will be used in his practice.

Dr. Levy explained the procedure very clearly in the first visit. In the actual tooth extraction he kept me informed of every step. After the extraction I did not have to use any pain killers. Everything went smoothly, without a tooth, but without pain. Looking forward to having my implant. Thanks to Dr. Levy.

Dr.Rustin Levy an excellent doctor. When I arrived, I was greeted by the affable receptionist Ms. Kiana (sp). She was extremely courteous, friendly and professional. In other words, I felt welcome! She handed me a tablet to fill out and sign all the documents electronically - evidence of a dental practice that is equipped for the twenty-first century. She was fast and efficient. She quickly called my dentist who referred me to Dr. Levy for a gum issue and my dental X-rays were quickly emailed to me and then I forwarded to Dr. Levy's office email. As soon as I completed my paperwork from the tablet (absolutely no papers), I was warmly invited in by Suzy (Dr. Levy's assistant I believe). Suzy was impeccably courteous and made me very comfortable as she got me seated, ready for Dr. Levy. Dr. Levy walked in almost immediately and warmly greeted me. He is a very nice gentleman, extremely friendly, and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Levy is extremely knowledgeable and he thoroughly explained what could irritate gum - which is why I was referred to him. The office is extremely clean and everything looks brand new. Even when I went to use the bathroom down the hall, everything was very neat - I thought I was the first person to visit this office but it was 3:00 PM! That is how clean everything looked. Location is also very convenient. The parking garage is in the same building and I paid only $17 for 2 hours - a great bargain in DC. If you need to see a periodontist, I highly recommend Advanced Periodontics of Washington DC. I drove 2 hours from Stafford Virginia and it was absolutely worth it. Isn't every reasonable person's desire to deal with a medical office that oozes expertise and exemplary customer service? This is that office!

Dr. Levy is an excellent periodontist, he is friendly and always has a good story. He puts the patient at ease. I had no discomfort afterwards. Kiana, his assistant is helpful. Dr. Levy has up to date diagnostic equipment. I highly recommend Dr. Levy and Kiana.

I had a great experience at Advanced Periodontics from the moment I walked in the door. I was greeted with a smile and my wait time was less than 5 minutes (awesome)! Dr. Levy addressed all my concerns and took the time to answer all my questions. I would highly recommend this practice to my friends!

Excellent experience with my gum graft. Dr. Levy is awesome and obviously good at his craft. Moreover, he's not pushing procedures . . . he takes a conservative approach to treatment instead of recommending advanced (and expensive) procedures unless they're necessary. Kiana, his assistant, is lovely and clearly competent. Both followed up with me in the days after. Strong recommendation.
