I am a Penn Dental Medicine graduate of the Orthodontic department, an Ivy League University. Icontinually updatemy education to provide the best and most effective care to my patients. Additionally, I have served as Director and Professor of Orthodontics for more than 20 years at Temple University School of Dentistry, where I help to shape the next generations of orthodontists.
My wife Royahas been a dental hygienist and our practice manager since 1992. She has designed our two beautiful orthodontic offices better than I could have ever done on my own. Our two sons Bradford and Roderick are both in college.

My name is Roya Azizi. I am married to Dr. Azizi. I admire how compassionate and caring he is toward our patients and our amazing team. We started our practices back in 1992. I was a practicing dental hygienist then, and worked part-time in our offices as an orthodontic assistant and front desk coordinator for four years, before starting to manage our finances full-time. Our offices are truly our babies. It has been such a great honor to meet and care for so many amazing people. It is also a privilege to work with such a great team, who I consider a second family. When not in the office, I look forward to spending time with my two boys and husband. I love traveling, greatfood, CrossFit and good champagne.
Hi! My name is Michelle, I have been working with Dr. Azizi for over 10 years. Everyone in the office is like a second family to me, they see me on my good days and bad (but always have me smiling by the end of it). It was by far one of the best decisions Ive ever made since I was then offered a full time position as an orthodontic assistant right out of my internship. This office is probably the best one I've been to (including dental and medical office). The staff was incredibly personable and made me feel comfortable as soon as I arrived. My treatment is going very well and I feel confident in my teeth's progress!!

I went to Dr. Azizi's office for a second opinion about adult Invisalign. I was told by another orthodontist that I might need jaw surgery in addition to orthodontic treatment, but they still tried to sell me on paying for treatment that day in the office anyway! Surgery seemed excessive to me since I don't have any functional problems and no dental provider had ever even suggested that in my entire life. Dr. Azizi's office in Glenside was extremely clean and inviting. I was anxious about the situation going in but everyone that helped me in the office was so kind and welcoming. Specifically, Antonella, Jaclyn, and Roya were great. Dr. Azizi explained everything in detail, including why I definitely did NOT need jaw surgery, and walked me through his recommended treatment plan. Roya and Jaclyn were also incredibly helpful working through payment options, helping me maximize use of insurance benefits and my flexible spending account to minimize my overall cost. Honestly, it couldn't have gone better and I look forward to beginning my treatment.

I've been treating with Dr. Azizi for almost 4 years now . He is a wonderful doctor who treat all his patients equal and handle them with passion and care . However , his wife who subsequently handles billing is rude , ignorant and has poor hospitality. When I first started treating at the office she appeared to be nice but when the pandemic began I fell behind on my monthly payments due to lack of work she started harassing me about my balance. Every time I would have an Ortho Emergency I have to go through a rough time to schedule an appointment, more recently 6/23/22 she told me that I should remove my braces until I am able to pay my balance . Then even said to me " How long do you plan to wear your braces .... Another 5 years ???? What give you the right to talk to any patient's in such manner . This is completely unacceptable and should be addressed accordingly . I spoke to Dr. Azizi about the matter and he brushed me off and said he would handled it . She never apologize for how she handle people and if I wasn't this far in my treatment I would change treatment care .

Well done. Dr. Azizi managed to make his high tech, state of the art facility feel like a home away from home. His staff is well trained and very attentive. I left feeling very confident that I would receive the best care possible on his watch. In one meeting with Dr. Azizi, it was evident to me that he is not only a scholar, but also an artist who cares deeply about people and takes great pride in his work. I also should mention that I did not receive any discount whatsoever related to this review. Someone let me know if I missed something lol. I love a good discount.

Beware of other 5 star reviews. There is a sign in the office that informs patients to leave a 5 star review. In the beginning of treatment, If patients leave a 5 star review on google,yelp and i believe fb the office gives a discount on the total price of treatment. Yelp has a good mix of honest reviews. When i mentioned the Yelp reviews the office manager told me the reviews on Yelp are low bc those former patients still owe money. Dr Azizi never provided direct answers to my questions, therefore I've gave up on asking questions about my treatment process. When I came in for my consultation over a year ago I asked if i needed to get any of my teeth extracted and I was told no. I now believe I was told that so that I would be more likely to decide to begin treatment that same day. The reason I believe this is at my appointment that was 9 months in, Dr Azizi brought up the option of getting teeth extracted to help with my overbite. Which could have been easily stated when I asked at my consultation. Unfortunately due to me being eager to getting braces and having straight teeth and the pressure they used like used car salesmen, I opted to begin treatment on the day of my consultation. Looking back, and thinking about everything I've experienced, and talking to other adults about their experiences with their orthodontists, I wish I would've waited and did some more research about other orthodontist in my area. At this point i feel like I'm stuck here because I'm over a year in and have already paid so much money. Therefore, I figured I'd be honest in my review, it is what it is. My advice to people is to do your research when it comes to something this important and major and expensive. You may find this office is right for you or you may find a better orthodontist. Think twice If they try to put braces on you the same day as your consultation, that's a red flag that i missed. Update, i ended my treatment with this office in august 2020 and started going to Another orthodontist. My experience has 10x better than at advanced. The orthodontist took time to do a thorough study of X-rays and pictures of my mouth. I went in for a consultation so they could take X-rays and pictures and the orthodontist took about 4 days to do a thorough study. It turns out the work that was done on my mouth at advanced, made my bite worse than it was pre treatment. I'm also a candidate for Jaw surgery which will fix my bite issues. Long story short, advanced took my money and opted for the quick and bs treatment. I'm glad i ended my treatment there. The picture is my smile/bite a few days after my new orthodontist removed the braces and appliance. My bite was not in that poor condition prior to going to advanced orthodontics. My back teeth barely lined up after going to advanced. Because my bite was made worse as a result of the work done at advanced, i had to get a bite retainer to help see if my bite could get back to the way it was prior to going to advanced and wear it for almost 6 months. I find it hard to believe that the orthodontist at advanced would always say my smile was beautiful and came a long way when I'd ask him about the time left for treatment.

I have been a patient of Dr. Azizi for the past five months, in counting. In this short amount of time , I not only have been treated very kindly by his staff, but Dr.Azizi has made a huge impact on my life. I made the decision to finally get braces because I wanted a better smile and more confidence. In working with his staff, I was given the choice in which type of braces I wanted, the pros and cons with each, and payment types, which were very affordable compared to most. Dr. Azizi set a game plan and goal for my overall treatment and I received my new braces that same day. Another reason for this review is because I have suffered with migraines for many years, which by other doctors, have always associated them with other medical issues, except TMJ. Dr. Azizi made the diagnosis of TMJ during my consultation and immediately started treating it. My headaches are less frequent because I am now getting the proper treatment with less medications that I don't need and honestly speaking, don't really work. This has made a huge difference in my overall health because there's nothing more painful than a debilitating migraine, but the stresses of not knowing what to do can be worse. I can't thank Dr. Azizi and his staff enough for all the help they have given me so far. I look forward to a much prettier and healthier smile!

By far the best orthodontist ever!!!! I had a very severe case, and Dr. Azizi, along with his entire staff, has made my experience enjoyable. Everyone in the office, including Dr. Azizi, are friendly, professional, and all around great people! I'm actually sad to get my braces off because I will miss them so much!! Also I drive an hour every month for my visit and it's worth every minute!! I wish everyone could experience such amazing orthodontic care that you receive from Advance Orthodontic Care!!!
