Dr. McCabe was born and raised in Mankato, MN, where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as Biology from Minnesota State University, Mankato. He attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine and graduated at the top of his class earning his Dental Medical Doctorate (DMD). Dr. McCabe completed a six-year oral and maxillofacial residency at the University of Florida in Jacksonville. He earned his medical degree (MD) from the University of Florida College of Medicine and completed one year of General Surgery training.
Dr. McCabe is a board-certified member ofthe American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Minnesota Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons,St. Paul District Dental Society, Minnesota Dental Association, American Dental Association,and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He has published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and has lectured on numerous topics within the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Dr. McCabe loves most spending time with the family his wonderful wife, Brittany, andthree precious children, Gabrielle (Gabs), Johnny, and William reading self-improvement and philosophy, mountain biking and skiing, playing chess and card games, and learning again to play the piano with his children.

I was looking for an oral surgeon to do a dental implant and found Advanced Oral Surgery. When I went in for a consultation, they took a panoramic x-ray and the doctor took his time to explain the process and answered all of my questions. The day of the surgery went very well. I was a little nervous about the procedure but after seeing how the team of nurses and the doctor worked confidently and at ease, it helped me feel I had made the right decision. The doctor also contacted me later that evening just to confirm I was feeling ok and to let him know if I had any questions or concerns. I highly recommend Advanced Oral Surgery & Periodontics.

Fantastic - The entire staff is amazing! In addition to being the best in the business, Dr. McCabe is also very personable and enjoyable to speak with. He did amazing work taking out my wisdom teeth and I was surprised how comfortable the entire process was. Will definitely be referring to advanced oral surgery!

Highly recommend Dr. McCabe and his wonderful staff of nurses! Everyone was very kind, had wonderful bedside manner, and made my experience comfortable. They were also very accommodating in getting my procedure done within a few days of contacting them- I appreciate this kind of flexibility. Dr. McCabe even texted me after my procedure to make sure I was doing well and if I had any questions. I was very nervous for this procedure, but everyone at Advanced Oral Surgery made the entire experience seamless- very grateful for the care I received :)
