Dr. Nazeri has spent most of his life in Sacramento. He attended University of California, Davis for his undergraduate studies and received a Bachelor of Sciencedegree in Microbiology.He, then, received hisdoctoral degree from University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine. After UPENN,he completed two yearsofHospital Dentistryresidency to enhance his training.He spent one year at UCLA and the second year at West Los Angeles VA Hospital.
After finishing his Hospital Dentistry residencies,Dr. Nazeri practiced general dentistry for three years and also taught at UCLA and USC prior to pursuing post-doctoral studies in Endodontics at the Veterans Hospital in Long Beach California.
Dr. Nazeri is a BoardEligible member of the AmericanBoard of Endodontics. He is also a member of the American Dental Association,California Dental Association, Sacramento District Dental Society, American Association of Endodontists, and Northern California Academy of Endodontists, VA Long Beach Medical Center.
There are many misconceptions surrounding root canal (endodontic) treatment. The American Association of Endodontists wants you to have accurate information. As always, when considering any medical procedure, you should get as much information as you can about all of your options. Your dentist or endodontist can answer many of your questions, and if you still have concerns, it is often wise to seek a second opinion.
The perception of root canals being painful began decades ago but with the latest technologies and anesthetics, root canal treatment today is no more uncomfortable than having a filling placed. In fact, a recent survey showed that patients who have experienced root canal treatment are six times more likely to describe it as 'painless' than patients who have not had root canal treatment.
Most patients see their dentist or endodontist when they have a severe toothache. The toothache can be caused by damaged tissues in the tooth. Root canal treatment removes this damaged tissue from the tooth, thereby relieving the pain you feel.
Research studies performed in the 1930s and 1940s and those conducted in later years showed no relationship between the presence of endodontically treated teeth and the presence of illness. Instead, researchers found that people with root canal fillings were no more likely to be ill than people without them.1,2
Over the past several years, however, a very small number of dentists and physicians have been claiming that teeth that have received root canal (endodontic) treatment contribute to the occurrence of illness and disease in the body. This claim is based on the outdated research performed by Dr. Weston Price from 1910-1930. His research stated that bacteria trapped in the teeth during root canal treatment can cause almost any type of disease, including arthritis, heart disease, kidney disease and others.
The presence of bacteria in teeth and the mouth has been an accepted fact for many years. But presence of bacteria does not constitute 'infection' and is not necessarily a threat to a person 's health.3 Bacteria are present in the mouth and teeth at all times, even in teeth that have never had a cavity or other trauma.
More recent attempts to copy the research of Dr. Price (and to check its accuracy) have been unsuccessful. Researchers now believe that the earlier findings may have been caused by poor sanitation and imprecise research techniques that were common in the early 1900s.1

This office is amazing! Everyone is always so kind and caring. Dr. Nazeri is a very fair doctor that refuses to do unnecessary work unlike many other dentists will do. The building and plants around are also super cute! I usually hate any dentist but 10/10 recommend this place if you need an root canal and want to be comfortable

I am so thankful I read these wonderful reviews and listened to them before coming here! I was so scared of a possible root canal and the doctor made me feel so at ease. We ended up not even having to o a root canal which was great and I appreciated that he did not do something that was not necessary! He was very personable and did not make me feel rushed at all. He took the time to sit with me and discuss my options. His front desk staff were also very friendly and helpful with giving me my estimates and helping me with all questions! The office space was very nice and clean as well. I would definitely recommend coming here!

I needed a root canal done that was very painful and I am very glad I went to this office as they were all very friendly and helpful from the start. They got me in to do a consult the same day I came in.I was told that sedation might be the best option as injections might not fully numb the pain by dr nazeri. Very glad I went here and that this was an option they offered.The receptionist even let me know the same day exactly what the rct would cost with my delta dental hmo plan, the sedation was not covered but it was well worth the extra cost as far as I was concerned as I was experiencing a lot of anxiety about getting this treatment done. Dr Hughes the anaesthesiologist was also very helpful before and after the procedure and explained exactly what to expect getting sedated and the does and donts beforehand. I would highly recommended this office to anyone needing a rct.

It is rare to come across a dentist who only performs treatment that is necessary for the patient. I have been advised by other dentist and endodontist that I need a re-root canal (that's their business). Dr. Nazeri invested time to explain me that, although the last root canal was not done properly, there is nothing to worry. He told me that my tooth is fine for now and to come back if I have any issues. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable too.

We came to the clinic to do the root canal retreatment. We then received a bill because our insurance denied paying the bill. Insurance denied it because it doesn't cover retreatment to the same tooth done in less than two years. Unfortunately, Advanced Micro-Endodontics Inc never called our insurance before the procedure to see if the procedure is covered by our insurance, and they didn't notify us that we might end up paying in full because it is retreatment done in less than two years. We ended up paying out of pocket for the procedure. September 2020 update: our dental doctor scheduled an appointment for my wife to fix another root canal. Today someone from Advanced Micro-Endodontics Inc called my wife and said that they are cancelling the appointment and refuse to server us because of the above review that we posted. This is the relationship you will get with the clinic, just FYI.

I JUST had a root canal at this amazing office two days ago! I had a first visit before the actual root canal appointment, and the Dr Nazeri was very kind, detailed and explained everything. They gave me all the financial/insurance run down and I knew everything to expect beforehand. Their office is clean. The actual appointment/root canal procedure went very smooth. The assistants were extremely kind and helpful. One even massaged my shoulder to calm me while I was getting the numbing shots. Dr Nazeri kept everything comfortable and the procedure took 15 minutes faster than expected. I was only a little tender after with no problems. I HIGHLY recommend this office and their staff.

I had a root canal re-treatment at this facility and the entire experience was very pleasant. Dr. Nazeri explained the re-treatment very well and the staff on the front desk and the nurses were so kind from beginning to end of the treatment. Payment plan was given upfront before the treatment and not a single penny was charged outside of what was printed in the paper. Overall I would recommend this facility to anyone who needs a root canal.
