Since 1990, the Advanced Institute for Oral Health has been providing expert periodontal care for our patients. Dr. Primm is committed to using the latest technology and techniques to ensure successful, comfortable and minimally invasive dental implant and gum treatments.

In the comfort of our friendly office you can receive dental implant treatment to replace single, multiple or all your teeth; as well as to stabilize or replace implant dentures. We can treat receding gums with fast, very minimally invasive techniques, and we can remove excess gum tissue with gentle laser gum recontouring for patients who have a gummy smile or an uneven gum line. We use state-of-the-art techniques to effectively control gum disease and repair any of its ravages.

Shannon handles Dr. Primms procedure schedule and communicates with our referring doctors to ensure quality care. She is committed to helping each patient understand their treatment and guiding them through each step along the way. Shannon was born and raised in southwest Florida and moved to the Nashville area in 2020. In her free time, when she is not attending University, she loves to spend time with her children and Dalmatian puppy.

Lisa began her dental career in 2009 as a dental assistant before transitioning into the front office position. She moved to the Nashville area in August 2019 from Atlanta, Georgia. Lisa has 2 children and 2 grandchildren. When not at work, she enjoys being outdoors and watching the Georgia Bulldogs play football.

Originally from Collierville, Tennessee, Leslie began her dental career in 2008 after attending Remington College in Nashville. She joined our team in 2014 and is certified in radiology, nitrous oxide, coronal polishing, CPR and AED. Leslie loves Nashville and country music. She attends Fellowship Bible Church and enjoys reading and movies in her spare time. Leslie has one son who lives in Texas and three granddaughters she loves spending time with.

Kathy has over 20 years of experience in the dental field and joined our team in 2010. She is a registered dental assistant, certified in CPR and AED. With her wonderful patient care, she has quickly become a vital part of our practice. Kathy served our country in the Navy for five years and completed two deployments during Desert Storm. Were honored to have her as a part of our team and look forward to our patients experiencing her high quality of care for many years to come.

Kelli has over 20 years of patient care experience. She taught periodontology and was a clinical instructor in the hygiene program at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. After obtaining her microbiology degree, Kelli received a dental hygiene degree as well as a masters in dental hygiene education. Kelli handles Dr. Primms procedure schedule and works with referring doctors to ensure quality patient care. Kelli and her husband have three children and she enjoys spending time with them when out of the office.

Kelly is active in establishing and dynamically maintaining relationships with our referring doctors offices. She joined our team in 2005 after graduating with a double major from Western Kentucky University. Kelly holds a versatile administrative and clinical support skill set, as she is also a registered dental assistant. Outside of the office, she enjoys time with her family, listening to live music and time at the lake.

Carrie received her dental hygiene degree from Perimeter College at Georgia State University in 2008. She works clinically with our patients to achieve their best oral health possible. Her favorite part of her job is getting to know her patients because they become a part of her extended family. Outside of the office, Carrie enjoys traveling, trying ethnic food and playing board games. She has been studying the Russian language for 15 years!

Board-certified periodontist, Dr. Jason T. Primm, graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 2006. He went on to complete a rigorous three-year surgical residency program at the UTHSC, where he earned his masters of dental science in periodontology from the University of Tennessee. Dr. Primms diligence in academia was recognized by being awarded the Thomas N. Weems Scholarship, inclusion into the Deans Odontological Society and graduating with honors from dental school.

In addition to the advanced training he received in dental school, Dr. Primm spends countless hours on continuing education focused on dental implants and gum disease treatment each year in order to provide outstanding treatment to his patients.

Dr. Primm is the director of The Pinnacle Study Club of Nashville, which provides continuing education for dentists and hygienists in the Nashville area. He also lectures on the topics of implant dentistry, denture solutions, tissue grafting and periodontics.

He is also licensed to use the PerioLase dental laser for treating of gum disease. While there are many lasers in the dental community, the PerioLase is the only FDA-approved laser for periodontal treatment and only a select few dentists are licensed to use it.

For several years in a row, Dr. Primm has been named one of Americas Top Dentists by the Consumers Research Council of America. He was also awarded the distinction of a Top Dentist by Nashville Lifestyles magazine.

Dr. Primm is board-certified in Periodontics. He has received advanced training in a residency program in the placement of dental implants and in the treatment of the gum and bone tissues surrounding the teeth. As part of his specialist education, he received extensive training in all aspects of implant surgery.
