The we embracetechnology in our Towson dental office to ensure every patient we treat receives the most comfortable and expedient care available. One example of our efforts to provide painless dentistry is our application of local anesthesia through The Wand, an innovative handheld device that provides an incredibly gentle experience for the patient.
We also know that informed patients are typically more relaxed ones. We feel it is important to keep the patient informed throughout a dental visit. Dr. Whitecar makes it a point to keep the patient apprised of the progression of treatment and offers oral conscious sedation and Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) when requested.
Patients of Dr. Whitecar are in good hands, trusting in his over 10 years of dental experience and the combined 60 years experience of his staff. They do not, however, need to rely on this experience alone to bring the best treatment to their patients. Striving to remain at the highest level of dental expertise with the longest lasting results possible, Dr. Whitecar and staff continually attend education lectures and seminars to provide their patients with the best dental techniques and technology available.
Their Towson office is equipped with the latest equipment, including DIAGNOdent which allows preemptive spotting of decayed areas within the tooth, as well as the CEREC system which makes same-day crown placement a reality.
We proudly keep our offices clean from top to bottom, and our staff is fully trained in the latest infection control techniques to ensure that no patient is put at unnecessary risk, and we also adhere to the standards set by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), as well as the American Dental Association.

Dr. Whitecars career and education are impressive. Voted one ofBaltimore's Best Dentists, he been practicing in the Baltimore area for over a decade. As an undergraduate, he studied at Washington and Lee University and went on to get his dental degree at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. After graduating from dental school, he completed a residency at Bellevue Hospital in New York City. There he was trained by some of the countrys best in the procedures needed for comprehensive patient care including implants, esthetic dentistry,oral surgery, sedation dentistry, root canal therapy and Invisalign.
Dr. Whitecar lives ten minutes from the office in Roland Park with his wife Niki, and their two young daughters Josie (3) and Eloise (1). He loves running with the Baltimore Pace Makers, playing squash, watching sports (especially football) and wrestling with his two young daughters whenever possible. You will be able to see right away that he brings enthusiasm to everything he does.
Debbie has been in the dental field for over thirty years. She is a licensed dental assistant and also has had sixteen years of dental office management experience. She loves working with our staff family and pitches in as an assistant or at the front desk wherever she is needed. Debbie has traveled on many humanitarian aid tripsto Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and New Orleans, and enjoys providing dental care to the underserved.She lives in Street with her son, Morgan.
Karen is Dr. Whitecars primary dental assistant. She is a certified dental assistant with 33 years of experience. Karen has a warm sense of caring for the comfort of our patients. She also loves to meet new patients and making them feel welcome, realizing that each person has different desires and needs. Karen also loves to be a part of Dr. Whitecar's practice where the latest technologies are embraced by the entire team. Karen lives in Lutherville with her husband Alex and her kids Carly and Seamus. Her interests include, cooking, yoga, knitting, spending time with family and she is an avid animal lover.
Andrea has over 30 years of dental experience. She educates patients in how to keep all of their natural teeth for a lifetime and is extremely thorough and gentle. Always ready to learn something new, Andrea enjoys the latest technologies in periodontics that we offer in the office to better serve our patients. Her interests include nutrition, health, and fitness. She lives in Sparks with her husband and three children, Wyatt, Ethan and Elizabeth.
Jemi has been in the dental field for 28 yearsand has been an integral part of Advance General Dentistry since 2011. She is usually the first person a patient speaks to when calling the office. Jemi is enthusiastic and dedicated to our services. She is completely committed to providing the best possible experience for our patients, from the moment they walk into our office. She has both managerial skills and dental knowledge to help patients to the fullest potential by serving their needs. In addition to that, she has an in-depth knowledge of the practice including billing, collections, insurance claims, and numerous other administrative tasks. Being a native of India, she loves the hot summer weather, hiking, and running. She also enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time with her two children and her playful lab mix, Belle.

My family and I have been patients of this practice for many years and I was concerned that we would need to find a new dentist when Dr. Ritter retired. However, I went in to see his replacement, Dr. Whitecar, for a cleaning in September and more recently for a crown to replace an old filling and am absolutely thrilled with him. He is an incredibly skilled dentist and a super nice guy with a staff of professionals to support him. The equipment and modern dental technology they use is seriously impressive and not something most dental offices have at their disposal. He's a real pro and I would highly recommend Advanced General Dentistry in Towson, MD and Dr. Whitecar to anyone seeking a top-notch dentist.

I came in as a new patient to the Towson office...fractured one of my front teeth and needed emergency treatment. Let me tell you that Dr. Whitecar and his dental assistant Karren were absolutely amazing! Ended up having to get a dental implant and they were able to take care of everything in the same day! The procedure was extremely painless and they made me feel very comfortable! I couldn't ask for better service and bedside manner! They are both highly recommended! Thanks Dr. Whitecar and Karren! You both have made going to the dentist for emergency surgery not such a scary experience after all! I give you guys 2 thumbs up! The front office staff were wonderful as well! Overall just a great experience!

Im so happy with my new smile. Dr. Whitecar is the best. I broke a front tooth a month ago after falling and hitting my face. Dr Whitecar saw me the next day to assess the damage and propose a solution. I ended up with new front teeth looking so much better. I'm so pleased with the result. I highly recommend him.

I can't say enough how much I value this practice. Dr. Mike is so talented and bonus --fun and sings a tune or 2 during procedures. Andrea is THE BEST hygienist ever, Jemi is like an old friend who always asks about my family, Kathy is a kind and caring dental assistant. I have a fairly extensive mouthful of repairs this team manages. I will never go anywhere else!

I've been going to Advanced General Dentistry for several years and it's great. The hygienists are all very personable and knowledgeable. Dr. Whitecar took over the practice recently and was extremely helpful at my exam. I had to go back for some additional work - having the ability to make their own crowns made for a quick and easy appointment without needing to go back.

I am 74 years old and have been with this practice almost 20 years, previously with Dr. Ritter. Dr. Whitecar took over the practice several months ago when Dr. Ritter retired. Dr. Whitecar is Dr. Ritter's personal dentist. Today I had a crown put in. It was made and installed while I waited. The skill and care with which this was done is the best. In addition to that, the staff in the office are like family. I always look forward to my dental visits and with the great care they provide I'm happy to say I have all my adult teeth. I'm very fortunate to have discovered this practice and will never change.

Dr. Whitecar did an excellent job on my teeth. The job of placing veneers on four of my front teeth was challenging. His patience, perfectionism, and concern regarding my pain management during the process was wonderful. Karen his assistant was reassuring and provided a welcome calm presence. It was a good experience with a good outcome. I would highly recommend Dr Whitecar and his team.

I didn't appreciate The doctor forcing a iPad on me basically making me give him a five star review in front of him. I found that to be incredibly pathetic for a new doctor. He is inflating his own stats because he can't get it on his own. Also, he up-charges for everything. Stay away from this practice. Zero stars wasn't possible, so I left a weak 1 Star Review.

Dr. Whitecar does excellent work. The practice is very attentive to detail, explains the pros and cons of proposed work, and made me very comfortable while having several crowns installed. They even make the crowns while you wait - so no coming back twice for temporary and permanent crown. He and the office staff are super personable. I even got my favorite artist played on a Spotify playlist during the procedure!

Visited Dr Whitecar today- a fabulous dentist in Towson utilizing state of the art technology. I highly recommend his practice along with all the long-serving, highly skilled dental team. Dr Whitecar is very personable, explaining procedures at every step and is an exceptional practitioner. Five stars -highly recommend!!!
