Natalie Mercho, DDS, obtained dual bachelors degrees in psychology and French from Indiana University in Bloomington and then traveled to the east coast to attend the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore. She continued her studies after dental school in an effort to expand her skills and allow her to provide a broader range of care to her patients, completing two general practice residencies.
At the Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY, she became proficient in general dentistry skills such as periodontal (gum) treatment, pediatric care, and oral surgery. Later, at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, she expanded her knowledge and skills with a greater concentration in cosmetic dentistry, endodontic (root canal) therapy, and implantology. Dr. Mercho is able to provide her patients with the healthy, beautiful smiles they deserve, and her dedication to patient satisfaction is second to none. Her patients can always be confident they are receiving the utmost dental care.
David Taler, DDS, FAGD, DABOI/ID, attended Franklin and Marshall College in Pennsylvania before receiving his dental degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He participated in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Clerkship, where he developed advanced knowledge and expertise in implantology, oral surgery, endodontics, and cosmetic dentistry. He also joined the Baltimore Veterans Affairs residency program, where his leadership and dentistry skills earned him the Chief Resident position.
Dedicated to lifelong education, he has achieved Fellowship in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the Academy of General Dentistry, Mastership in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and board-certified diplomate status with the American Board of Oral Implantology, the highest level of achievement in implant dentistry. As a decorated lacrosse player, he became a member of the Delphic Society, an organization recognizing individuals who achieve the highest levels of performance in academia, athletics, and community service.
Drs. Mercho and Taler have three beautiful children Jackson, Hudson, and Harper who keep them very active in their free time. They enjoy coaching and cheering them on in their various sports, including lacrosse, football, and tennis. They also share a love for cooking and enjoy spending time with their family in the community. They are involved in a variety of activities including tennis, yoga, water and snow skiing, scuba diving, hiking, camping, baking, and gardening and are always looking for more!
Amber is our lead dental assistant and has over 12 years of experience in the dental field. She studied dental assisting at IU Northwest in Gary, IN and is a certified expanded duties dental assistant with a focus in oral surgery, dental implants, and prosthetics. She is a problem-solver and a go-to teammate for clinical and front office concerns. When she is not chairside or restoring fillings, she likes to spend time with her daughter Isabelle and husband Nick. On the weekends, you can often find her sitting by a campfire, drinking a nice cold cider.
Alyssa is from Northeast Indiana. She graduated from the IPFW Dental Hygiene program, then moved to Indianapolis and attended Indiana University School of Dentistry for her Bachelor of Science in Public Health Dental Hygiene. She excels in both diagnosis and treatment of periodontal and restorative dental conditions. Her ability to relate complex treatments in lay terms and immense caring for each and every patient is what sets her apart and makes her one of the best hygienists in the area. She currently lives in Noblesville with her husband, their baby, Cooper, and two dogs. She likes to spend her free time outside, traveling, and being active.
Lindsey recently moved from Northeast Pennsylvania. She began her studies in 2001 at Arizona State University with a focus on criminal justice and then transitioned to SUNY Broome to finish her degree in Applied Sciences in Dental Hygiene. She is licensed in both Pennsylvania and Indiana and has 17 years of experience, including in pediatric, periodontic, and prosthodontic dentistry. She is known for her thorough yet gentle cleaning! Lindsey currently lives in Whitestown with her husband and Goldendoodle, Charlie. She loves to explore what Indianapolis and the surrounding areas have to offer, including restaurants, shopping, and dog parks.
Jamies favorite part of her role here is transforming smiles and building confidence in patients oral health. She enjoys interacting with patients and families and building long-term relationships. Ever since I was little, I always loved going to the dentist and getting my teeth cleaned. I always knew I wanted to grow up and work in the dental field. Jamie has 3 boys and a baby girl. In her free time she enjoys being outside, trying local eateries, and of course spending time with her family.
Teresa has been in the dental field for over 20 years. Her main role is patient care coordinator, but you will see her helping throughout Advanced Family Dentistry. She is the warm greeting you will receive on the phone and in our office. She will help with explaining insurance and treatment plans for our patients. When not working, Teresa enjoys spending time with her 2 boys and husband, Mike. She is passionate about boxing and working with personal trainers and coaches. On a nice sunny day you will find her walking her dog LuLu around the town of Speedway. She and her family are long-time Indy Car race fans. There is nothing quite like the month of May in Speedway.

Very impressed with this DDS and the staff. Office was very clean and prompt dental appointments. At my first visit had a very thorough cleaning. Had a return appointment for a filling. Dr Mercho and her assistant Jamie were the best!!!! The entire staff is so nice and welcoming. I highly recommend Dr Mercho and her staff.

WOW! What a refreshing dental experience! Both figuratively and literally. Not only have I received stellar and thorough cleanings since going to Advanced Family Dental, but the facilities are warm and welcoming and so are all the staff members. They even play good music and know when and when not to ask you a question. Gone are the days of listening to Kenny G and asking if I have kids just before putting something sharp into my mouth. If you have ever dreaded going to the dentist, or longed for an updated dental experience, you must check them out. Finally, a dental visit experience I do not purposely put off!

This has been one of the most positive dental experiences I've ever had! Having six implants done in a very timely manner has changed my life. Dr. Taler and Dr. Mercho plus there staff were fantastic to work with from making a plan and executing the procedures. You couldn't ask or find better dental care anywhere.

Dr. Mercho and Dr. Taler are the best dentist in Zionsville without a doubt. Dr. Mercho is incredibly caring, meticulous and is an amazing cosmetic dentist for myself and I love that she is a family dentist too! I can bring all the kids to the same place I want to go to and they love it (they actually like the dentist, I know crazy right?!) Dr. Taler, her husband is always getting awards for being the best implant dentist and is a dental implant specialist and he was able to help out a friend of mine with a broken tooth that same day! I can't imagine going anywhere else!

I could not be more thrilled with this practice! I routinely get my teeth cleaned at the Zionsville office. But today I needed emergency service and they coordinated between the two offices to "fit me in" for a root canal and a crown. So thankful to be pain free and ready for the holidays!

The staff is friendly and helpful. It's easy to call to schedule an appointment or to ask a question of the dentist. I have always been able to get a timely appointment to meet my needs. I feel the care is very personalized and they take their time with patients, not rushing or juggling too many people at once. I am very pleased with the services I have received thus far.

Great staff! Very professional yet very personable. Showed me a very comprehensive plan to get my mouth back in shape. Worked with me and my insurance to get things scheduled that allowed the insurance to work for me. Very pleased with the procedures and the attention received. Would highly recommend.

They were wonderful! I got a pain free wisdom teeth extraction here. They knew I was nervous and that I struggle with a lot of anxiety, so they gave me sedation meds that helped me through surgery! 10/10 would recommend this Dental Office to everyone I know and will be going here for the rest of my dental needs.

The staff at Advanced Family Dentistry is incredibly friendly as soon as you walk in the door. The charm of this downtown house calms any nerves you may have along with the smilies and knowledge of the staff. They take their time every time and present all options to improve my teeth in a professional and positive manner. This office has exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend them for the whole family!!!!

5 stars! Highly recommend! Everyone there always has a smile on their face and they truly enjoy what they do. Have never had a bad experience with Dr. Taler or anyone in the office.They finished up an implant for me... I was super nervous about the whole procedure because I hate pain especially with my teeth, but these guys talked me thru it and did one heck of job everything was a perfect fit, hardly any pain at all. These guys really know their stuff! Go check them out if you need great dentist for a root canal, implant, teeth cleaning, or anything they can do it all! Heck I drive over an hour because they are the only people I trust to work on my teeth. If you haven't seen they have a new office in Zionsville it's worth the trip! Trust me! Thanks to Dr. Taler and the whole team!

Two crowns my previous dentist put in needed to be replaced. My gums were infected because the fit was wrong. Dr. Li at Advanced Family Dentistry recognized the problem at my first Advanced Family Dentistry appt. My new crowns are in today and my gums feel like I never had a problem. Besides performing their jobs at a professional level, everyone working at Advanced Family Dentistry is personable and pleasant to work with. Glad Advanced Family is our new dentistry home.

Dr. Taler has done an implant for me. He even came in early to work with me. His Wife Dr Mercho really encouraged me to have a gum cleaning as it was really needed. The staff is wonderful and has treated me like family. I would recommend their services for anyone in the area. They've done an excellent job for me.
