Dr. Taler attended Franklin and Marshall College in Pennsylvania before receiving his dental degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He participated in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Clerkship, where he developed advanced knowledge and expertise in implantology, oral surgery, endodontics, and cosmetic dentistry. He also joined the Baltimore Veterans Affairs residency program, where his leadership and dentistry skills earned him the Chief Resident position.
Dedicated to lifelong education, he has achieved Fellowship in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the Academy of General Dentistry, Mastership in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and board-certified diplomate status with the American Board of Oral Implantology, the highest level of achievement in implant dentistry. As a decorated lacrosse player, he became a member of the Delphic Society, an organization recognizing individuals who achieve the highest levels of performance in academia, athletics, and community service.
Dr. Taler believes in giving back to the community and has been a volunteer at the Gennesaret Free Dental Clinic since 2013. He received the 2021 Honorary Member Award from Indiana University for outstanding achievement in dentistry and was named a topDentist for 2020 and 2021. His wife, Dr. Natalie Mercho, is a fellow dentist and sees patients in our Zionsville office. They have three children and enjoy cheering them on in various sports and other activities. They both also enjoy cooking and spending time in the community with their family.
Mel resides in Fountain Square, where she was born and raised, with her husband and two children. Dom and Dee are students at Little Flower Catholic School. Mel has been working in the dental field her whole life. Originally trained as a dental assistant, she later returned to school for business. With both clinical and front office experience, Mel is a one-of-a-kind asset when it comes to her ability to explain treatment and reduce costs for patients. Her knowledge and experience with innumerable insurances makes her an elite office manager and our go-to person. She loves to read and averages a book a week. When they arent running their kids to functions, Mel and her family are taking care of the small zoo they have at home: two Neapolitan Mastiffs, two French Bulldogs, two Marmoset monkeys, two African Sulcata Tortoises, a bearded dragon, a hedgehog, a cat, and a Green-Winged Macaw and Amazon parrot. When all that is done and there is time to relax, she gets to do her favorite thing, sit poolside! So if you need help with your dental insurance or with animals! Mel can probably help you.
Alyssa is from Northeast Indiana. She graduated from the IPFW Dental Hygiene program, then moved to Indianapolis and attended Indiana University School of Dentistry for her Bachelor of Science in Public Health Dental Hygiene. She excels in both diagnosis and treatment of periodontal and restorative dental conditions. Her ability to relate complex treatments in lay terms and immense caring for each and every patient is what sets her apart and makes her one of the best hygienists in the area. She currently lives in Noblesville with her husband, their baby, Cooper, and two dogs. She likes to spend her free time outside, traveling, and being active.
Olivia is from Detroit, Michigan. She attended Olivet College to earn her bachelors degree in biology and then attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She lives in Fishers with her husband and their two dogs, and they are expecting their first child this summer!
Avery is a Hoosier at heart and was born and raised in Anderson, Indiana. She followed her passion and graduated from the dental assisting program at the Anderson campus of Ivy Tech Community College during one of the most trying times of the pandemic. She also obtained certification as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. With her specialized training, she not only assists the doctor during dental procedures but is also an asset to the team by being able to carry out more functions during your visits. She enjoys getting to know our patients and helping them understand their dental needs. She has an optimistic attitude and is growing every day at being the best at what she does! Outside the world of dentistry, Avery enjoys spending time with family and friends. Shes definitely a foodie and loves to cook and try new recipes to share with others. She is looking forward to her future and having a family of her own someday, but maybe for now she will start with spoiling a Labradoodle puppy.
