Education: Graduated from University of Texas Austin in 1988. Graduated from University of Texas Dental School in San Antonio in 1992. Completed 2 years of continuing education in Orthodontics in 1998. Invisalign training in 2002. Advanced Invisalign training in 2009. Clear Correct training in 2009.
Education: Graduate of the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry. Completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii. Dr. Nakashima served for 11 years in the United States Army.
Credentials: Stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, after serving in Iraq for Operation Iraq Freedom as the Oral Surgeon for the 21st Combat Support Hospital. He was honorably discharged in January of 2004. He is also a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and member of the American Association Of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Education: Graduated from Tarleton State University, Stephenville, TX, Served in the United States Navy, Graduated from the University of Texas Dental School at San Antonio in 1992. Dr. Butler owned and operated his own dental office in Cedar Park for over 20 years before joining Advanced Family Dentistry.

I highly recommend them. I've been going to this dental practice for about 15 years. I always have a good experience during my visits. I like Dr. Gerhardt and the staff. They are professional, friendly, and the office is well-run. I love their hygienists because they always do a thorough cleaning. Also, I really like that they allot an hour for cleaning and exam so they are not rushing.

This place used to be great. But my last visit was a reminder that it's gone down hill rapidly. My last visit they took me to a room at the very back with a broken light, old ripped up seats, and dirty looking walls. It's weird because other rooms don't look like this, why do they keep a dingy unclean room in the back? So anyway they take me there, the woman I got literally forgot to use suction and water to clean my mouth, I had to tell her that I don't prefer to have blood pooling in my mouth. I told the Doctor six times I wanted a new mental permanent retainer and maybe braces but he tried to upsell his weird patented plastic retainer thing, completely unrelated to what I wanted. The fee for not showing up to an appointment is $75 so for busy moms, people with spontaneously schedules, and anyone who doesn't want to pay almost $100 for a service you didn't receive should go elsewhere. This place should be ashamed of the nose dive it took.

The whole staff is always friendly and attentive and I am always greeted with a smile. I have been coming here for more than 15 years and it is always a great experience. I have had a fillings, a root canal, braces and cleanings and it has always been a good experience, I have no complaints. Dr. Gerhardt, the hygienists and front desk personnel always answer my questions. I will continue coming to see Dr Gerhardt and his staff.
