Originally from Rochester, NY, Dr. Basta moved to Milwaukee, WI to pursue his goal of becoming a dentist at Marquette University. While in Milwaukee, Dr. Basta grew to love the Midwest and the people who live there. In his free time, Dr. Basta enjoys singing, playing guitar and spending time with friends. After completing dental school, Dr. Basta decided to stay in the Midwest and move to Chicago. Dr. Basta completed a one-year general residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital improving his skills in oral surgery, gum surgery, special needs dentistry, and implant placements, among many other disciplines. Dr. Basta really enjoys the sights that the city has to offer, attending many of Chicagos music festivals, and looks forward to meeting all the new patients!
Dr. Malik graduated from Elmhurst College where in three years she received a bachelors in biological sciences. She then received her formal dental training from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. After three years of private practice, Dr. Malik joined The Ohio State University College of Dentistry to pursue her passion of Advanced Prosthodontics. During that time, Dr. Malik received formal training in complex full mouth oral rehabilitation, implant surgery and implant restorations. She also completed her masters research on digital dentures.
Dr. Jason Jamali is originally from Michigan. He obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan followed by his dental degree at Columbia University in New York. Dr. Jamali then returned to the University of Michigan for his medical and oral and maxillofacial surgery training. This training exposed him to full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery with additional training in reconstruction and microvascular surgery. Dr. Jamali also completed two years of general surgery and advanced training in anesthesia.
Following residency Dr. Jamali worked as a full-time assistant professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Illinois at Chicago. While at UIC, he taught residents and dental students and authored several publications. Dr. Jamali continues teaching residents at Illinois Masonic Hospital where he also treats facial trauma. He has a special interest in orthognathic surgery, implants, facial trauma, and benign pathology.
