Dr. Raj earned his bachelors in Physiology & Neurobiology at the University of Maryland College Park in 1998, including research opportunities at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda. He then went on to receive his doctorate in dental surgery from University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 2002. Dr. Raj has been providing high quality comprehensive dental care in a gentle and personalized environment for over a decade in the Germantown area. He has extensive background in the removal of impacted wisdom teeth, other surgical extractions and bone grafting, implant placement and restorations, invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and root canals. He is regular at attending continuing education courses to provide his patients with the most modern that dentistry has to offer.
Dr Snigdha has dual dental degrees,shereceived her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from University of Medicine & Dentistry New Jersey Dental school in 2009 anda Bachelor of Dental studies from South Asia in 2001. She strives for dental excellence & looks forward to serving the community with great care, compassion & latest knowledge in the field of dentistry. Dr Snigdha actively attends continuing education courses at prestigious institutes to stay at par with the latest developments in dentistry including courses in oral surgery at The Gordon Christensens Institute, prestigious Endo Buchanan in Santa Barbara,CA, Academy of Sleep medicine for sleep Apnea. She is a certified Invisalign provider.
Dr. Simchian graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore County with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Following a one year research stint at the NIH, he attended University of Maryland Dental School where he graduated with a doctorate of dental surgery in 2004. Dr. Simchian enjoys working with people of all ages to meet their specific goals, improve the quality of their oral health and help them attain, functional and healthy smiles to fit the individual and last a lifetime. He actively participates in continuing education courses spanning myriad phases of dentistry. He has received comprehensive training in implant placement, bone regeneration and implant restoration.
Dr. Simchian is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry. He is fluent in Farsi, Armenian and has working knowledge of Spanish. In his free time, he enjoys swimming, reading and spending time with his family.
Pamela received her degree in dental hygiene in 2010 and has been working with our office for over two years. She is Health Care Provider CPR certified and licensed in the state of Maryland.Pamela is proficient in oral cancer screenings and is very compassionate with apprehensive patients and children.

Hi recommend, been coming for years. Wouldn't change to any other dentist. If I had to past out pocket I would. Friendly staff, promptly Appt & very efficient

Every single time I come here for my scheduled appointments they are ALWAYS running behind. There is no point in showing up on time. I have waited anywhere ranging from 20-60 min for my turn. They do not alert you at all and even when I called and asked if they were behind schedule they didn't say anything. Writing this as I am waiting (been here total 2+ hours).

This was my first visit to this place & it was a great experience. i'm looking forward to coming here again. They ended up solving my right jaw pain by removing a wisdom tooth that was causing it. Dr. Raj's and his dental assistant Kaila were the ones who aided me and they were so nice, professional, & caring. :)

I had a cleaning today. The hygienist was great-- he did a careful and thorough job. Gave specific advice re my follow-up. Verbal directions were clear. Office staff were efficient and pleasant. Definitely an excellent experience.

I will like to remain anonymous. I've spent over 3,000$ in dental work here such as fillings, crowns, and bridge, deep cleaning, and another service. I got my bridge done and a year later it fell off. The female dentist told me this work will be permanent for life which I agreed I will pay over 1,500$. I told her that my bridge fell off my real tooth. She told me she can't redo it or put it back because I should go see a specialist about that and she gave me a referral too. The male doctor at this place told me there's a warranty if the crown brakes or falls apart if it happens in less than 3 years. This showed me actually that she is after money and not about her patients. I went to a different dentist and the dentist told me it was poorly done to my real tooth. The dentist said the shape of my tooth was of poor quality. They asked me who did my dental work? I didn't want to tell them because it was embarrassing. I don't want to say female dentists are awful, but she doesn't care about the quality of work just money. I agree with other poor reviews about this place. I say beware if you're going to spend 1000$ at this place!

I don't have a good experience from here. I changed my crown only after one year which was done before with Dr. Raj. The quality of their services is low and when I complained, nobody didn't care about that. This is my point of view and I hope I didn't upset anyone for this review.

I love this place! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Dr. Raj, the hygienist ( I think her name is Teresa), and the dental assistants (Asia and Kayla) are awesome! You won't be disappointed coming here.

Update: Dec 13, 2021. I had my periodic 6-month dental cleaning and check up today. Dr. Raj had been the sole care provider thus far; today, his wife Dr. Snigdha Balchandani took care of my dental hygiene. She was so pleasant and provided an outstanding care. Previous comment: Our dental care has been with Dr. Raj and his assistants for more than 6 years now. Dr. Raj takes personal interest and spends quite a bit of time thoroughly examining every aspect of dental issues and provides suitable choices. Dr. Raj and his assistants have done a superior job of caring for our dental needs. Up front, he explains costs involved in any special situation, such as filling, extraction, crown, etc. and what our insurance would cover and what would be our cost. Their facilities and equipment are state-of-the-art. The dental assistants do an excellent job in general care such, as cleaning, etc. Over these years, I have built a valuable trust with Dr. Raj. Without any reservation, I recommend him for dental care for anyone.

Avoid this place if you can. Yes they have some nice folks working there, but the wait is endless, doesn't matter the time of the day and they messed up one of my fillings, another dentist had to fix.
