Our office prides itself in providing a state-of-the-art facility. This includes every aspect of our center. The facility maintains an in-house staff trained in every area of facial, oral and dental implant procedures. Safety is our first and foremost goal with our patients and the delivery of the best possible care.

We have a 'state-of-the-art' in-house operating room capable of providing a sterile environment for larger procedures with general anesthesia and sedation. This includes a biological filter system to decrease the risk of germ contamination during surgery.

Our scope of practice is the widest possible in the specialty. We provide contemporary management of jaw surgery, third molars, dental implants (with or without bone grafting), TMJ management, cosmetic facial surgery, rhinoplasty, facial resurfacing, sleep apnea, snoring and neck liposuction. Injectable soft tissue fillers for lips, nasolabial folds, frown lines and other facial areas and Botox injections to relax and reduce facial wrinkles are also included in our available services.

Dr. Douglas Sinn has vast experience in oral, facial and dental implant surgery. He served as Professor and Chairman of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas for twenty years and maintains a Clinical Professor position at UT Southwestern. He has a special interest in the care of pediatric patients and will make your child or teenager feel at ease when providing care to your family. He remains on active status at Children's Medical Center of Dallas where he serves as Director of Service of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Sinn is active in many hospitals in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. These include Parkland Health & Hospital System, Baylor Hospital System, Children's Medical Center, Medical City Children's Hospitaland the Methodist Hospital System. He is also actively involved in the education of oral and maxillofacial residents at UT Southwestern.

Dr. Douglas Sinn served as President of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Chairman of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Foundation. In addition to these national offices, he also held the position of President of the Texas Society of Oral Surgeons. He was a member of the full-time faculty at UT Southwestern for more than thirty years. He has authored a vast number of articles and book chapters on oral and maxillofacial surgery and delivered hundreds of lectures at local, national and international oral surgery venues.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Sinn manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. Sinn practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery, TMJ surgery and cosmetic facial surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. We can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries and fractures.

Dr. Douglas P. Sinn specializes in facial cosmetic surgery, craniomaxillofacial surgery, jaw surgery, management of disorders of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), dental implants, and dental alveolar surgery.He is a Clinical Professor, the past Chairman of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, and was on the UT faculty from July 1974 to September 2004. He joined the faculty after completion of his residency at the University of Texas-Parkland Memorial Hospital and its affiliates. Prior to then he received his baccalaureate degree at the University of Iowa, and his dental degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. After joining the faculty at UT Southwestern-Parkland Memorial Hospital, he was actively involved in the direction of the resident education and the management of the patients at Parkland Hospital. He was named director of the residency program in 1978, and was promoted to Associate Professor in 1980. In 1984, he was named Chairman of the residency program which coincided with his promotion to full Professor.

Dr. Sinns clinical interest includes craniomaxillofacial surgery, jaw surgery, management of disorders of the temporomandibular joint, dental implantology, pathology, aesthetic facial surgery and dental alveolar surgery. He currently has an active private practice in facial and oral surgery based in Mansfield, Texas. He has attending staff privileges at Mansfield Methodist Hospital, Medical City Dallas, Baylor University Medical Center and Childrens Medical Center of Dallas. Dr. Sinn is board certified, and served as President of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He also served as chairman of the OMS Foundation. Dr. Sinn is well known both nationally and internationally in the specialty of OMS, and has written many articles, books, and book chapters. He has been active as both a speaker and consultant in the OMS. He currently maintains an active role in teaching on a part time basis within the UT Southwestern Medical Center and affiliated hospitals.

My name is Michelle Pasekand I am Dr. Sinns Practice Manager/Surgical Coordinator. I am a lover of the outdoors from fishing & hunting, to gardening, bird watching and boating and if I can do any of these things with family and friends, that just makes it even better! I opened Advanced Facial & Oral Surgery with Dr. Sinn in 2007. I have worked in virtually all aspects of the office. Aside from the daily duties as OR Scheduler & Implant coordinator, I assist Dr. Sinn in everything oral surgery related outside the office; lectures, authoring books, book chapters, and journals. The list is never ending and I love it. As part of your team at Advanced Facial & Oral Surgery I am here to make your experience with us both welcoming and accommodating.

I am one of the Surgical Assistants/OR Technicians for Advanced Facial and Oral Surgery. I am a native Texan and I live in the DallasFort Worth Metroplex. My interests include reading, the Internet, working out, going to Church and spending time with my family. I began my journey with teeth in a dental lab doing a lot of waxing, making crowns, and working with metal. All of this required taking special courses and training for hours upon hours, teeth are more complex than you think. Since my dad, Dr. Sinn, is an oral surgeon and my brother a dentist, teeth is where it ismost of all. I am here to assist the doctors and the staff, so that your time here as a patient is relaxing, comfortable and all of your questions are answered.

My name is Shelli and I'm the patient and insurance benefits coordinator.I joined Advanced Facial & Oral Surgery in 2008. I have been in the dental field since 2000. I love to meet new people and I look forward to greeting you when you come to our office. I am married with 3 beautiful daughters, 4 grandchildren (10, 7, 6, 3) and 2 fur babies. My husband and I love to travel, go camping and spending time with our family and friends.

I am one of the surgical assistants for Advanced Facial & Oral Surgery. I am native Texan. I have lived in the Mansfield area for almost 10 years. I am married, have 2 beautiful children and 3 dogs. My family is very important to me so I spend most of my free time doing activities with them. I consider myself very blessed to be employed at a place where I can do what I love. Surgery has always been my passion. As your healthcare provider I will strive to make your time spent in our practice as comfortable and pleasant as possible. In 2007, I completed my training as a surgical technologist. I am also certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Phlebotomy. I am knowledgeable in many different areas of Oral and Facial surgery and am here to answer any questions you may have regarding any procedures that we offer.
