Dr. Barker was born and raised in Southern California, and attended college at theUniversity of California San Diego, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience.Hethen received his dentaltrainingat the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Franciscowhere hegraduatedwith highest honors in 2005. He was inducted as a member of the national dental honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon, andwas also awarded the Northern California Academy of Endodontics-Outstanding Capabilities in Endodontics Award.
Following dental school, Dr.Barkercompleted a rigorousthree year residency at Temple University School of Dentistryin Philadelphia, PA,where he earnedhis Specialty Certificate in Endodontics and aMaster of Science Degree inOral Biology in 2008. His intensivetraining at Temple emphasized themostadvanced technologies and up-to-date micro-endodontic techniques in order toprovideexceptional quality ofcareand highly predictivelong term endodontic results. Dr. Barkerwas involved in both the clinical and academic teaching of endodontics as an instructor and lecturer at Temple University.
Dr. Barker is active in organized dentistry, and hecurrently serves on the dentalboards for boththe Santa Barbara-Ventura County Dental Societyand the Conejo Valley Academy of Dentistry. He is also aspecialist member of the American Association of Endodontists, theCalifornia Association of Endodontists, the AmericanDental Association, and theCalifornia Dental Association.
Dr. Barkerandhis wife,Elisa,have threechildren and love living in Ventura County. When not at the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, helping with his boys sports teams,golfing,and traveling.

Just had the most gentle and peaceful experience getting my root canal! This guy is literally the best! He explains things thoroughly and is very professional. I was so nervous before I got into his chair and a few hours later, I'm done without any pain (was still numb) but man! Most relaxing experience ever! 10 out of 10 would recommend!!

Dr. Barker and his staff were amazing! I wasn't super excited about getting a root canal, but the procedure was quick, and painless. I was even provided with a headset during the procedure to listen to music and take my mind away from everything. Dr. Barker was also very thorough in his explanation of the procedure and billing. 10/10 would recommend!

I visited Dr. Barker on a recommendation from a respected dentist in Ventura. I had just cracked two teeth and needed two root canals. Not fun. My case was extreme and I wanted the best doctor available at any cost. My experience with Dr. Barker was second to none. Dr. Barker is the most kind, patient, knowledgeable and capable endodontist you could ask for. And his specialty is dealing with extreme cases like mine. He explained the procedures in great detail and answered all my questions with confidence. My comfort was his number one priority. Never once did I feel pain or stress during the root canal procedures. His facility is laboratory clean and absolutely state-of-the-art. His staff is fantastic as well. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Dr. Barker if you ever need a root canal. It doesn't get any better than this.
