Allen J. Rosenthal, DDS, Endodontist Dr. Allen Rosenthal earned his undergraduate degree at Queens College City University of New York, before attending dental school at the State University of New York at Buffalo, graduating in 1978 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree, and his Certificate in Endodontics in 1981. He continues to advance his knowledge of endodontics regularly by attending the annual American Association of Endodontics meeting. Dr. Rosenthal has been practicing in Stamford, Connecticut, since 1982.
He has been a volunteer dentist for many years, performing root canal therapy with the Mission of Mercy program in Connecticut. Dr. Rosenthal has been recognized in the Top Dentists issue of both the Connecticut Magazine and the Stamford Magazine.
Agnes Herceg, DDS, Endodontist Dr. Agnes Herceg attended the New York University College of Dentistry, graduating with honors in Endodontics in 1995. She continues her dental education regularly through attendance at the biannual meeting for the American Association of Endodontics. Dr. Herceg joined Dr. Rosenthals practice in 1999, and has been a partner since 2004. As an endodontist, her goal has always been to provide her patients with proper diagnosis and with the highest level of care possible.
Dr. Herceg has received a number of awards, including the Dental Material Honors Award in 1995, and the Samuel Hannah Holzman Endodontia Award, also in 1995. She was a clinical professor at the NYU post-graduate program for 2 years and has been recognized by both Connecticut Magazine and Stamford Magazine in their Top Dentist issues. Dr. Herceg is also a member of the following professional organizations:
Dr. Herceg is happily married to her husband, Mark, with whom she has 3 daughters. In her spare time, she loves to travel, cook, and practice yoga. She also enjoys watching her daughters play tennis, ice-hockey, and soccer.
Advanced Endodontics & Microsurgery of Stamford, PC utilizes state-of-the-art, small-volume cone-beam CT (computed tomography) technology that provides highly accurate, 3-D radiographic images for the diagnosis, planning, and treatment of endodontic disease. This allows three-dimensional visualization of teeth, bone, sinuses, and surrounding structures with minimal radiation to the patient, enabling a level of anatomical accuracy and patient care not possible with 2-D technologies (regular dental X-rays). The most knowledgeable and professional endodontist I ever met. I had to do an infected root canal but due to other medical condition have to avoid general antibiotics. Doctor managed to do superior job without using general antibiotics. I am extremely happy with the result. Thank you very much! YB

Not sure what all the negative talk about a root canal came from or Dr. Rosenthal is just the best, explained everything thoroughly, answered any and all questions/concerns. I didn't feel a thing. Never had problems with my adult teeth. Until recently when I Needed a root canal. It required . 2 painless, Short visits. Was able to take a nap. And it was done!!! No discomfort or pain Whatsoever in the days following both visits. And honestly, getting a regular tooth cleaning was more uncomfortable. Thank you Advanced Endodontics

Dental appointments have always been stressful for me so expected a root canal to be even worse - however, with Dr. Herceg I felt relaxed the whole time. She is great about checking in to make you feel comfortable throughout the procedure. She is excellent - highly recommend!

I was referred by my dentist whose office called Advanced Endodontics ahead to confirm a dentist in the Cigna network was available to perform my root canal. Only after the procedure was over was I informed that Dr. Rosenthal was not in my Cigna network. I was then charged $700 out of pocket. If an in-network dentist had done the procedure there would have been no charge.
