Dr Wes Blakeslee completed his undergraduate studies at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania. After two years of graduate study in biology at Seton Hall University where he was a teaching assistant, he was accepted to UMDNJ-NJ Dental School where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1979.
Following dental school, Dr Blakeslee was commissioned a Lieutenant in the US Navy Dental Corps and served for three years at the Naval Air Station Pensacola, FL. During the last year of his tour of active duty, he was designated the dentist to the Blue Angels precision flying team by his commanding officer.
In 1983, Dr Blakeslee established a general dentistry practice in Wall, NJ, dedicated to the comprehensive rehabilitation of patients utilizing the most advanced treatment modalites. In 2004, he was recognized as One of the Best Dentists in Monmouth County by the Asbury Park Press. He has also been named a 'NJ Top Dentist' by New Jersey Magazine.
Dr Blakeslee is a Diplomate of both the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics, and the Misch Implant Institute.Dr. Blakeslee serves on the Advisory Board for the journal General Dentistry where he is the section head for Implantology, and for the non-profit organization, Oral Cancer Cause.
He is on the Editorial Boards for PennWell Publications and the International Journal of Dentistry and Oral Health, and is a manuscript reviewer for the Journal of Oral Implantology and the Sports Health Journal.
Dr. Blakesleehas served as a consultant to the GoldenMisch Company (Detroit), CAESY Education Systems (Seattle), The Dental Advisor (Chicago), Hiossen Implant Company (Philadelphia) and the US Naval Academy (Annapolis).
The creator and host of the podcast program for the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr Blakeslee interviews prominent dental educators, clinicians and manufacturers on the latest products, materials and techniques in dentistry. The audience consists of approximately 45,000 dentists in the US and Canada.

I gotta say something about this doctor as well as his staff because the treatment care and sympathy that I received is just unmatched. I recently moved here from Florida and was looking up pediatric dentist for some reason his office came up. ( they don't take children) but not only his staff but the doctor himself went above amd beyond to get my newborn in with a pediatric dentist he works closely with. The doctor nevertheless his staffdidbt have to go above and beyond like this especially seeing I was never a patient at their practice.....its extremely hard to find a good doctor nevertheless a dentist amd this practice just showed to me and people close to me how and where their hearts are....hopefully they take my insurance I will call tomorrow cause without him or staff even knowing me they helped me and my children put beyond words.....this is the compassion they don't teach in med schools anymore....for him and his staff im so grateful and trust him with his judgment as well as knowledge to go above and beyond, again I wasn't even a patient so I can't imagine how compassionate they are to everyone that walks in the door grateful for this team and practice

Dr. Blakeslee and his entire staff are amazing. From the moment I stepped into this office I knew I was in the right place. I recently had cosmetic bonding done on my front teeth after a pretty nasty accident and Dr. Blakeslee made them look better than I could have ever imagined.If you're looking for a dentist, make an appointment here!

Hands down, Dr. Blakeslee and his entire staff are the most professional, kind, friendly, competent, and compassionate dental group that you will EVER find. We would HIGHLY recommend them before anyone else. Dr. BLAKESLEE is genuinely interested first and foremost in the care and well being of his patients...and sees each as a unique individual with different needs. He's honest and altruistic and just an all around great guy. His staff are amazing...friendly, accommodating, and you'll feel safe and welcomed from the minute you walk through the door. Our family has gone to Advanced Dentistry of Wall since Dr. Blakeslee began his practice. He is very talented, a perfectionist in his work and always current with best the dentistry research. His staff is competent, professional and caring. It's easy to get an appointment and the office follows all the CDC guidelines for Covid prevention. I'm always comfortable going to Advanced Dentistry of Wall knowing I'll get the best care possible.

Dr. Blakeslee was incredibly helpful to me yesterday as I needed emergency treatment following a root canal procedure last week. He literally stopped what he was doing to fit me into his busy schedule and explained what the X-Ray of my tooth had revealed. He then recommended some medication to alleviate my discomfort and I am feeling much better now thanks to his kindness and I would highly recommend Dr. Blakeslee to anyone seeking dental care. I was truly worried about the transition my 17 year old would face from going from our AMAZING Pediatric Dentist (who she has known since she was 3) to an adult dentist. Dr. Blakeslee was referred to us by her pediatric dentist, one word...AMAZING!! I couldn't be happier with the experience. She is so looking forward to her follow up appt with Dr. Blakeslee. I went to Dr Blakeslee years ago. Then I became a hygienist at another office so I stopped seeing him for many years. Now I'm retired and HAPPY to be back with Dr Blakeslee as a patient again. He is gentle, and thorough. Literally a perfectionist. His Hygienist, Sharon, is wonderful and I'm a hygienist so I know what a good cleaning is. His staff is the best!
