Dr. B received his first dental degree in the year 2000, from The Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, in Bogota Colombia. Shortly after, he moved to New York City and completed a One Year International Advanced Study Programin Prosthodontics and Dental implants at NYU, New York University College of Dentistry in 2005.
Dr. B also earned his second DDS degree in 2008, from NYU where he truly discovered his passion for academia, and was honored with the privilege of teaching in the predoctoral and graduate clinics and preclinics.
Upon graduation, Dr. Buitrago was recognized with the Dr. Harry J.Gersten Award. This award is presented to the senior dental student demonstrating excellence in fixed prosthodontics theory and technique along with the Long Island Academy of Odontology Award presented to the senior dental student who best exemplified scholastic achievement and clinical proficiency during the four years of study.
Driven to become the best in restorative procedures, esthetics and implant dentistry Dr. Buitrago completed a three years postgraduate program in Prosthodontics at New York Hospital Queens part of Cornell University in 2011. This program provided him with the extensive training and skills needed to provide the highest quality in dental implants, complex restorations and dental techniques that ensure patients receive outstanding dental care. Dr. B, is not only specialized in restoration and replacement of teeth but he has a proven record of restoring optimum function and esthetics to his patients smile.
Dr. Buitrago, relocated to Georgia in 2011, where he joined a multispecialty dental group, he worked and lived in the Atlanta perimeter for 3 years. In 2014, he then moved to southwest Florida and worked as an associate dentist for a year. While living on the west coast of Florida he scouted out the best place to build his solo practice and found the perfect location in the heart of Coral Springs. After 15 years of extensive training, hard work and dedication he is very excited to finally open his solo dental practice, Advanced Dentistry of Coral Springs.
In Dr. Buitragos free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters and discovering all the outdoors activities living in South Florida has to offer. Dr. B has recently completed his first half marathon after months of training! This speaks to the dedication and hard work he puts into dentistry as well as his personal life!

I have been visiting Advanced Dentistry for the past three years. I have one of the most experienced, caring and kind dentist. From the moment you make entrance into the waiting room you are welcomed. The staff is very friendly and possess good customer service attitude. The environment is very clean and well kept. They offer a wide variety of services and uses the best sterile equipments. One of the things I admire most is that I always feel relaxed because of the music which is being played. I have done X-ray, deep cleaning, crown, bonding and partial denture. I have never left the office and had to take a pain pill. I have been extremely satisfied with the services I have received at Advanced Dentistry. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a good dentist. They are very thorough in whatever work they do.. The team is very cooperative and I give them five stars without hesitation or reservation. I am looking very forward to going to my next appointment. Awesome workers!

Dr. B is a fantastic dentist. He and his staff greet me and each patient with a warm smile. Dr. B is very thorough, very knowledgeable and is dedicated to his craft. During your visit, he explains everything in its entirety. You will not only have a great experience, but you will know how to properly care for your oral hygiene.

I am very satisfied with my new dentist. They make sure and take care of all my dental needs. Awesome staff , everyone there starting from front desk are respectful and attentive. Advanced Dentisry helped me so much, and my dental hygiene has increased ever since. They do accept care credit, which is a plus. In the past , I've had some traumatic experiences with dentist, but my fear is no longer there . Thank you !

High class office with friendly professional staff. Doctor best I have been lucky to find in literally decades. Highly recommended for all dental problems. For me specifically, I got ill fitting sloppy crowns replaced with perfect teeth crafted from top of the line materials in beautiful shades enhancing both function and appearance. No more trapped food causing infection and pain between my teeth. Thank you I am so relieved. This is the One.

Advanced Dentistry of Coral Springs is absolutely amazing! I had to get an emergency root canal and they were able to start the process of helping me the same day I called their office. Dr. Buitrago and Beatriz the Dental Assistant made me feel comfortable and part of the office family. Their attention to detail is the best I have had. They even stayed late to complete some of the dental work that was needed. Hands down I will never go anywhere else. Thank you so much!!!

Dr. B is one of the best dentist I have been to by far. The staff is always so friendly and courteous especially Beatrice she always goes above and beyond to make you comfortable and welcome. I have never had to wait longer then five minutes to be seen for an appointment. I would definitely recommend going to see Dr. B If you are looking for a new dentist, and I personally will continue seeing Dr. B for as long as he has a practice here in South Florida.

I have been in the care of Dr. B and his team for over 2 years now. Their office is beautiful and the quality of their care and attention to detail is above and beyond. From the personal attention and consideration of Abdil at the front desk, to the thoroughness of their dental hygienist (and I am SO picky with my dental hygienists)((my teeth practically sparkle after each cleaning, now). Charlene, their dental hygienist has terrific hands and an amazing personality. Her cleanings are very comfortably and precisely done - and she takes the time to proactively educate and inform her patients on preventative techniques and helpful lifestyle changes. She is an amazing addition to an already amazing team. And finally, there is the ultimate and genuine caring, knowledge, and clear clinical experience of Dr. Buitrago. He really takes the time to get to know his patients and answer all of their questions or concerns with such a compassionate bedside manner. There's no room for improvement, here. He's so real and so considerate - it's like talking to an old friend who really sees and hears you and will come up with a treatment plan that takes all of you into account. As a medical provider, myself, I have seen how important dental hygiene and care really is to total health. It's really not a luxury but a necessity. I make sure to come for cleanings every 3-4 months, myself. Dr.B and his team are extremely fair and reasonable with their pricing. And when it comes to having work done - they are conscientious, gentle, and entirely comfortable. I've definitely found my home base for dental care.
