Dr. Paredes was born in Gainesville, Florida, before moving to Colombia, SA, with her family. While there, she obtained her first dental degree. She worked in Colombia, SA, as a dentistry for 10 years before eventually moving back to the United States with her two sons. She went on to attend the University of Florida, where she acquired her second dental degree, graduating in 2000. Dr. Paredes was employed as a dentist in the Ocala area for about ten years before deciding to to join Dr. Magyar at Advanced Dentistry of Citrus County Lecanto, where she has enjoyed working for the past 11 years and looks forward to many more to come.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Paredes loves spending time with her two beautiful granddaughters in Arkansas, whom she spoils every time she visits. Her youngest son lives in Colorado and she frequently visits him to spend time together and enjoy the lovely Colorado scenery. At home in Citrus County, Dr. Paredes and her boyfriend love to spend time outdoors. The couple enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including going to the beach, hiking nature trails, boating, and scalloping. The couple also enjoys cheering on their favorite football teams, the Gators and Bucs. In her free time, Dr. Paredes also enjoys painting and crocheting, and thanks to the pandemic- making lemonade out of lemons!
Dr. Magyar has been and continues to be directly involved in the innovation of dental procedures, dental materials, and dental products. He is a consultant to major dental companies in Digital Dentures and guided full-arch immediate implants and dental restoration.
I believe in life changing dentistry. Many people are inhibited due to their dental appearance. There is also fear that the treatment will be painful. I would like to change these perceptions. I believe that dentistry can be a pleasant, enjoyable, and rewarding experience. And because dental health is an integral part of the general health, I would like to give people the opportunity to improve their general health and self-image, making dentistry a lifetime health care experience.
Away from the office, Dr. Atra enjoys biking, running, and a variety of other physical fitness activities especially outside among nature! Dr. Atra believes staying active and enjoying nature contributes to his positive mental health and general well-being. In his free time, he also enjoys sports and creating music.

I was away from my usual home dental team (out of state) and came down with a semi-urgent toothache. I called around and Advanced Dentistry was able to fit me in within the hour. The friendly staff received me quickly, took x-rays, and Dr. Atra examined me and suggested the possible issues and options in short order. I felt very confident in his skills and liked his "bedside manner", The staff was friendly, efficient, the cost was reasonable even though I am out of network, and I highly recommend them.

Very friendly staff and super dentist, who does try for the best outcome for the patient (in other words money not the top priority, but the patient is). I have been there too much lately but it's because my 76 year old teeth and old crowns are showing their age. Highly recommend them.

Was an great experience. Dr Atra and his assistant Shay was absolutely amazing. Had to have a tooth extracted and it was smooth and overall they made me comfortable through the whole procedure. I would highly recommend this office for all dental needs.

I took my 14 yo grandson for cleaning and X-ray and he liked everyone there. He said they were very nice. They reviewed everything with me and even explained to him exactly what would be done. Thank you Advanced Dentistry

My family is new to the area, we were looking to establish dental care. I have 2 teenagers who are established with an orthodontist already and were in need of a dentist for regular cleanings and checkups. I myself developed a broken tooth that I needed to address that was causing severe pain. Made an appointment and had the tooth extracted. The care I received was great and I thought this is a good place for my kids. Made appointments for both teens and they were comfortable and pleased at their visits. Now recently while calling to make an appointment for my spouse I was informed that we owe approximately $1200 because we are out of network, we have Delta Dental insurance. Do you think after multiple conversations and appointments that they could have informed us of this before even letting us make appointments? Why would this office do this? Should have told us that they don't take Delta Dental with the first phone call to them, they asked what insurance we have and took all info over the phone. I am very disappointed and upset with this whole situation!

This was my first visit here. I was looking to establish a new dentist and it was not a good experience. Everyone was running around unorganized and the girl was about to take my xray without putting my vest on. I was very disappointed and I had to leave the appointment. I really needed to see someone and now I'm going to have to find somewhere else and wait even longer for relief.

I hadn't been to a dentist for way too long and was a bit apprehensive of doing what I knew I needed to do. I learned about Advanced Dentistry and decided to make an appointment. Believe it or not it was actually a great experience. I doubt there are many people that would describe a dental visit that way but from the very beginning everyone was super nice. Felicia was my hygienist and was able to calm any nervousness I may have had. I briefly met the dentist and he too was super cool. I'm very glad that I found Advanced Dental.
