Dr. Nelson Chen grew up right here in Bellevue, Washington. He attended Tillicum Middle School and Sammamish High School, and is pleased to offer beautiful smiles to his friends and neighbors with the best dental care possible. He received his Bachelors of Arts degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley in 2000 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the world renowned University of Washington School of Dentistry in 2004. Dr. Chen has been recognized as a 'America 's Top Dentists' by the Consumers Research Council of America and as a Top Dentist from Seattle Met.
He is committed to lifelong training as a way to be able to offer you the beautiful smile that you have always wanted. Dr. Chen does this by participating in many dental study groups, taking advanced coursework and attending multiple dental seminars each year. This extensive training combined with the most advanced dental equipment and materials available gives Dr. Chen the ability and experience to provide a level of treatment not available at most other offices. Currently the topics of interest include cosmetic dental solutions and 6-Month Cosmetic Braces .
When not in his office, Dr. Chen enjoys spending time with his wife Grace, and children Emily and Ethan. Dr. Chen also enjoys photography, reading dental research articles, playing tennis, drawing and painting. Dr. Chen is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese.
I grew up right here in Bellevue and went to Newport High School. I then graduated from the University of the Pacific in CA in 2001 with a degree in accounting. After working in an accounting firm in Cupertino, CA for a few years I moved back to Washington and got a degree in MBA from the City University of Seattle in Bellevue.
I am in dentistry because of Dr. Chen! I love meeting new patients and I always enjoy helping them with their scheduling and administrative needs. It is truly an honor to be able to assist many people while at the same time making new friends.
Hello, Im Katrina! I grew up near Los Angeles and began dental assisting in high school. I fell in love with dentistry as a science and continued my education earning a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene at the University of Southern California. I have practiced dental hygiene in California, Texas and am now happily settled in the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
I enjoy connecting with my patients and the relationships I have formed throughout the years. I volunteer in various organizations including the Seattle King County Clinic and Medical Teams International. I also work with dental students teaching dental hygiene at the University of Washington.
I feel very fortunate to be working with Dr. Chen and to be part of team who deliver the highest standard of care and treat their patients with respect and kindness. When not at work I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also love to read, play tennis, mountain bike, hike or basically anything outdoors!
Hello, I'm Ashleigh. I've worked in the dental field since 2013. I love helping patients gain more confidence; and improving their smile. In my spare time I enjoy running and spending time with my family.
I am originally from Saigon, Vietnam and have been in the Pacific Northwest for over seven years. I attended Portland Community College in Oregon where I earned my Associate Degree in Science and Certificate in Dental Assisting in 2009. I continued my studies at Pacific University in Hillsboro, Oregon graduating in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. I moved to Seattle in early 2013 and joined Dr. Chen's hygiene team shortly thereafter. Prior to this, I practiced Dental Assisting for four years.
Patient-centered care is most important to me. I believe in maintaining excellent rapport with patients. I want all my patients to feel that a visit to the dentist can be a positive and enjoyable experience.
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, reading, and traveling. I also volunteer for Medical Teams International's dental van occasionally throughout Washington. I consider serving the uninsured and underserved population as a mission of my hygiene career as well as a way to give back to the community.

Hello my name is Norma! I was born and raised in Seattle, and currently reside in the Auburn area. While in high school, I discovered my passion for the dental field. I attended 'Occupational Skills Center' and was able to learn the aspects of dentistry and helping patients. Then, in 2009 I graduated from Renton Technical College as a DANB certified dental assistant. I have been in the dental field for 11 years and enjoy the interaction I get with each patient and getting to know them!
