Dr. Sanei has over 12 years of experience as a general dentist in private practice and is dedicated to providing quality, compassionate dental care to his patients. He values the importance of developing a bond and trust with his patients and can truly say, 'I love what I do.' He understands the importance of technology and has invested in the latest technology, from 3D imaging to digital scanners for crowns and Invisalign and same-day crowns.
He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a BS in Biology. He then attended Temple University's Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. At Temple, he was Honored in Oral Surgery and Endodontics. After graduation, he returned to Chicago, where he worked in private practice in Bucktown until joining the Advanced Dentistry team in 2019 as an Owner and practitioner.
Dr. Sanei believes strongly in keeping his skills and knowledge current through continuing education. He has completed two years of advanced training in Orthodontics. He also completed over 300 hours of training for dental implants.
Dr. Tim Sagun is definitely a local guy, being born and raised on the north side of Chicago and having attended Loyola Academy in Wilmette. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Sagun then earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry in Chicago. After graduating, he began his postdoctoral dental education at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, completing a general practice residency. He had advanced training in complex case management, IV sedation, and oral surgery and provided comprehensive care to special needs and medically compromised patients.
Dr. Sagun then enjoyed practicing general dentistry in the North Shore for several years, gaining valuable experience and perspective. During this time, he discovered his desire to work more with young children and adolescents and his passion for improving smiles of all ages with orthodontics and exciting mechanics. While returning to UIC to complete his orthodontic training, he received his Masters of Oral Sciences. In addition, he was published in an International Orthodontic Journal for his research investigating craniofacial growth prediction. Dr. Sagun also stays actively involved in orthodontic education as a Clinical Professor of Orthodontics at the University of Illinois, Department of Orthodontics, overseeing patient care in the clinic and giving lectures to the residents. Fortunately, the astute and very accomplished professional community and the amazing families of Chicago brought him back to the area to practice again, this time as an orthodontist.
Dr. Sagun lives in Chicago with his wife, Darlene, his three boys, Elliot, Milo, Wesley, and their rescue dog, Lola. He enjoys reading, biking, running, exploring Chicago, cheering on its beloved sports teams, and especially doing all of the above with his family.
Dr. Salvador Nares serves as Department Head and Professor, Director of Periodontics Research in the Department of Periodontics. Dr. Nares received his DDS, Ph.D., and Certificate of Specialty in Periodontology from the Baylor College of Dentistry, Texas A&M University, in Dallas, Texas, and an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Nares completed a three-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Oral Infection and Immunity Branch of the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research of the National Institutes of Health (NIDCR/NIH) in Bethesda, MD.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery and a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI). He has received the Earl Robinson Regeneration Award from the American Academy of Periodontology and the Nevins Teaching and Clinical Research Fellowship Award from the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation. Dr. Nares's research focuses on investigating the underlying mechanisms of periodontal and dental implant inflammation and its resolution. Dr. Nares is also interested in digital dentistry in periodontics and dental implantology.

The service was excellent, precise, very courteous, friendly and professional. Every stage of the work, he reviewed with me and make sure that I am comfortable. The price is very reasonable. The best part is that he personally called to make sure with follow up that everything is going good.

I would recommend this place 10/10 times! I took my wife here for emergency. On such short notice they were able to help and relieve my wife of her pain. Whole team is very happy to take the time and explain everything as they go, VERY CLEAN environment, they are not there to sell anything only helped their patients!

I was very pleased with my office visit. The Dr took the time to explain everything including all my options for treatment. He is a very caring & compassionate doctor, and he spend a long time with me and answer all my questions and concerns and not rushing like most doctors do these days . I will definitely recommend him to my friends and family.

I came to this doctor about 2 years ago and he told me, this tooth should be pulled It's not viable. I was sent by my regular dentist for a root canal but he told me that a root canal won't work it needs to be pulled so I had him do it anyway because I believed in my dentist. And of course my dentist was wrong. So I paid for a root canal I didn't need. Well two years down the road I end up I need a root canal same doctor telling me the same thing that she couldn't do a crown on it without a root canal. I went to him back to him lo and behold he cleans it up cleans it out crowns it no root canal. Save me tons of money Great disposition nice guy real honest. Love this man and the girls were fabulous too

Dr.Sanei is very professional, i have very limited time due to work schedule & after being in pain for a few days. He was easily able to exam xrays extract and place implant in 2hrs!! Im always nervous in regards to procedures like these but yet he kept finding ways to laugh to make me relax recommending all my friends to him!!

I had not been to the dentist in a long time and I am so glad I decided to go to Advanced Dentistry. Dr. Sanei and his staff are amazing and I no longer hate going to the dentist. In fact, I look forward to it now! They are kind and gentle and take the time to explain the care I am receiving as well as answering all of my questions. Sophie the Dental Hygienist is wonderful and always gives me tips for better at home oral care. I would 100% recommend Advanced Dentistry for all your dental care needs!

This office is amazing! I had an implant started over a year ago, but was unable to find someone to complete it after my oral surgeon passed away. Dr Sanei was willing to get me in, work with my crazy schedule, and complete the process. Highly recommend.
