Dr. Mark Nation is a highly sought-after surgical and restorative prosthodontist. He obtained his bachelors degree in biology from the University of Louisville before earning his dental degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2000. Dr. Nation spent fourteen years on the faculty of the Department of Surgical & Hospital Dentistry at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, where he served as an attending doctor for the General Practice Residency program. He has lectured in the University of Louisvilles graduate prosthodontics program as well as at study clubs and dental meetings all over the United States. He regularly trains general dentists and other specialists to place single dental implants.
Dr. Nation is married to his wife of over twenty years, Dr. Karen Nation, who is a general dentist in the Louisville area. They have two daughters, Shelby and Lily. When the Nations arent practicing dentistry, they enjoy farming and playing volleyball.

I have been a patient of DR. Nations for about 3 years. He is an extraordinary periodontist and has made my smile perfect. He cares about his patients and his precision shows his mastery of his practice. His staff always welcomes patients as if they were personal friends. Dr. Nation previously had done extensive dental work for me, and this was my first visit to his new practice, Advanced Dental Solutions. The office is very nice and the staff is friendly, efficient, and kind. Erica, the hygienist, is one of the best I've been to, and I was very happy she was there. It was good to be back in Dr. Nation's care, and I would highly recommend him.

I'm not going to go into a lot of detail why it was that I'd been referred to Dr. Nation, just that I am very thankful I was. I'd gotten implants at another dental place in Lexington and it was a horrible nightmare. They had don't so much damage to my mouth. My dentist seen the damage and sent me to see Dr. Nation in hopes of helping me. That was quiet a few years ago now. He was able to fix my mouth after quite the extreme repairs. He and his staff are an amazing group of people. If you are looking to get implants I would say go see them. I will forever be greatful for them giving back my confidence in eating, smiling and simply a better quality of life.

Dr. Nation is a mad scientist in the best possible way! He and his staff are the most warm and welcoming I have experienced, which goes a long way to ease my anxieties tied to dental work. They always give their undivided attention, and they have helped restore my smile in a way that looks so natural it's almost unbelievable. I can't say enough positive things to be quite honest!

I can only tell you that I have never had a more pleasant experience than I have had working with Dr. Mark Nation and his great staff. These folks are not only as professional as you could ever expect, but they are the most down to earth people you could ever hope to be associated with. I've had problems with my teeth since I can remember, even as a young kid. I had some bad experiences with dentists going back to when I was 11 or 12 years old. When I first came to ADS, I was embarrassed to even go out in public. My teeth were not a pretty sight. Dr. Nation gave me choices and made suggestions that could work for me, and took all the time necessary to explain everything in complete detail. I chose to have Conus implants and snap-in dentures. Really happy with my decision and the work Dr. Nation did. He will bend over backwards to satisfy his patients needs. Doug Davis

The staff are friendly and courteous. Dr Nation has years of experience and is interested in giving me the best appearance. I was more worried about pain than appearance. The anesthesia was given right there in the office and my husband had a prescription when we left. The best care and experience I could ask for!

Dr. Nation, and his staff, helped me achieve a better life, with an increased ability, to not only eat, but as a sales person, an increased confidence to speak, without fearing that my upper denture would fail me. After 10 years, my upper had become worn, and was missing critical clamps, holding my upper, in place. Dr. Nations experience and ingenuity, at replacing my missing clamps, and helping me achieve a better fit, for my upper denture, has helped me achieve my goals, of eating and speaking with the confidence, I expected.
