Dr. David Aicher earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University Dental School and went on to spend the next 21 years in private practice before forming the Advanced Dental Professionals office in 2010.
Dr. Aicher is a member of the ADA, WDA, the Central Wisconsin Dental Forum, the Marathon County Dental Society, and the American Equilibration Society. He also is involved in the Wausau Noon Optimist Club.
Committed to continual improvement, Dr. Aicher is focused on staying current with the latest dental technology and teachings. In his free time, he enjoys home remodeling, woodworking, playing golf, and curling. Dr. Aicher and his wife Elizabeth also enjoy traveling to spend time with their son who lives in Chicago and their daughter who lives in Baltimore.
Dr. Wenhui Sun moved to Wausau from the Washington D.C. area. Dr. Sun completed a seven-year combined dental program through the University of Connecticut and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Public Health and Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree.
After dental school, Dr. Sun pursued a comprehensive general dentistry residency at the Summa Center for Dental Health in Akron, Ohio. She then went on to join a private practice in the D.C. area before coming back to the Midwest.
Dr. Sun emphasizes comprehensive preventive care and works with each of her patients to improve their oral health. She enjoys learning and is always striving to stay up to date with continuing education courses each year. For the past few years, she has focused on learning more about pediatrics, sleep/airway dentistry, TMJ disorders and esthetic focused restorative procedures.
Mary was raised in Wausau and has been working at the front desk at Advanced Dental Professionals for 25 years. She and her husband Thom have a lovely daughter Samantha. Mary loves meeting new people; you can often find her out walking or attending church functions. She believes in treating patients like family and making them feel at home.
Angie joined the practice in 2004 as an assistant and later grew into the role of Treatment Planning Coordinator, where she helps patients understand their treatment plans. Over the years, shes built strong relationships with patients and its one of the reasons she enjoys coming to work every day. Angie and her husband Tim have two sons, Tyler and Jacob. Outside of the office, she enjoys fishing and camping.
Kelly moved to the United States with her family in 2012 after living in Panama, Central America, for over 16 years. She began working in the dental field shortly thereafter as a dental assistant. She speaks fluent Spanish and is often called upon if patients need translating. Her dental assisting background helps her with her role as treatment planning coordinator in explaining procedures to patients. She has been enjoying her time back in Wisconsin, spending her free time working on home renovations with her husband.
Denise joined the office in 1992 as a dental assistant and lab technician. She feels very grateful to work with two hard-working dentists who always have their patients best interests at heart. She feels like she is in the right place and truly believes ADPs patients are too. Outside of the office, Denise enjoys traveling, curling and golfing with her husband.
Kati has been a dental assistant for Dr. Aicher for over 20 years. She grew up in Wausau, and now she and her husband Jeff are raising their children here as well. Katis enjoys her job and especially likes getting to know patients and building relationships with them over the years. Outside of the office, Kati likes spending time with her family and friends.
Originally from Stevens Point, Nicole moved to Wausau in 2014 and attended Northcentral Technical College. She earned her Dental Assistant degree and joined the team at Advanced Dental Professionals upon graduation. Nicole loves spending time with her dog and significant other. She also tries her best to go fishing at least once a week.
Sue has been working as a Dental Assistant at the Advanced Dental Professionals office for over 8 years. Originally from Wausau, shes been married for 30 years and is fortunate to have two wonderful children; a daughter and a son, both in their 20s. Outside of the office, Sue likes to read, exercise, and spend time with her family. She enjoys being a part of the team at ADP and taking care of patients each and every day.
Heather loves working with patients to help them achieve the healthiest smile possible. She feels honored to have such great patients trust her with their care. Heather has four dogs that she loves to spoil and take to the dog park. Heather enjoys spending time with her family. You can find her spending most of her free time creating flower arrangements or interior decorating. Health and fitness is very important to Heather, therefore a majority of her time is spent. at the gym working out, kayaking, and boxing.
Joanna has been calling Wausau her home since her second birthday. The middle of three sisters, she is blessed to have grown up with her best friends. After graduating high school, she attended Northcentral Technical College, where she received her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene in May of 2016.
Kelly was born and raised in Wausau and has been working with the practice since 1993. Her favorite part of being a Hygienist are the special friendships shes developed with patients and team members over the decades. She feels that its truly a blessing to come to the office and work with them every day . Kelly and her husband Larry have two children and a granddaughter. In her free time, Kelly spends time with her family and enjoys gardening, golfing, cooking and baking.
Whitney is originally from the Wausau area and has grown up enjoying all four seasons that Wisconsin has to offer. She enjoys being able to bring positive change to patients lives by improving their oral health. She and her husband married in 2014 and welcomed their first child in 2018. Outside of work, Whitney can be found playing golf, softball, snowboarding or riding the snowmobile trails.
