We use Digital Smile Design, advanced software for creating the most personalized of smile makeovers. DSD enables us to analyze the structural aspects of your face and using digital photography and video, we can show you how a cosmetic dental treatment will impact your smile.
Many patients feel anxious or stressed when visiting the dentist and our team strives to help you relax when you are here. From friendly conversation and patient education to amenities that include plush leather treatment chairs, personal TVs, and a living room with complimentary wi-fi and beverages, we want you to feel at home when you come through our doors. Our team takes the time to get to know each patient as an individual.
For anyone who suffers from dental anxiety, we offer dental sedation. Dr. Rafat is certified in IV sedation and can provide this option in addition to oral and Nitrous Oxide conscious sedation. Sedation dentistry can also be a great option for patients undergoing more than one procedure, especially if they are addressing complex dental problems to restore their smile and oral health.
For patients with missing teeth or an ill-fitted denture, Advanced Dental Health offers consultative care for tooth replacement. Dr. Rafat is a trained periodontist with years of training and experience in all aspects of implant dentistry. He can work with you to restore lost teeth with results that are stable, secure, and comfortable.
Dr. Rafat and Dr. Izadi will monitor your recovery after the surgical implantation of the post and work with you to design, create and place a natural-looking and functioning restoration for your missing tooth/teeth.
Dr. Rafat and Dr. Izadi can provide a second opinion if you are in need of extensive restorative dental care or desire a smile makeover. We have advanced training and experience in both restorative and cosmetic dentistry and can offer complete care for your complex needs in one location.
I grew up in beautifully green Sparks, Maryland, and have spent my entire life learning and growing in the Baltimore area. Im happy to be practicing dentistry in the community that has given me so much throughout my life.
My natural compassion for people and love for art & science is why I chose to become a dentist. Valley Dental Health exists so that we may promote excellence in dental health and so that we may serve those that are committed to the very best dental care and long-term oral health.
I love developing relationships with my patients and growing with the multiple generations of families we have seen through the years. I am very proud of our dream team at VDH who always work hard to provide the best care to all our patients by focusing on every patients individual needs.
Im proud to have graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School of Dental Surgery, the first dental school in the world that still remains as one of the top dental schools in the country! My passion for learning leads me to a competitive two-year residency at the University of Maryland in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program.
During residency, I developed a special interest in preventative dentistry, patient education, and advanced dental treatment including cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, and implant therapy. During an externship on a Native American reservation in South Dakota, I developed a real appreciation for the importance of serving those parts of our global community that have less-than-desirable access to healthcare.
I am proud of the fact that Valley Dental Health dentists and team members have devoted their time to serving those who do not have access to dental care through various charitable organizations, and I look forward to many more opportunities to do so as we continue to grow in our community.
I currently live in downtown Baltimore with my fun-loving husband, our curious twins, and our two dogs. When Im not in the office, I can be found playing with my kids, hiking with my dogs, watching documentaries, running, or pretty much anything involving nature and family life. I am very fond of food, books, movies, music, and travel.

As a proud northern-Baltimore County native, I am so glad that my career has brought me back to the Hunt Valley area. Valley Dental Health is my way of giving back to the community that has given me so much throughout my life.
My passion for general dentistry inspired me to pursue five years of specialty training in order to be able to treat patients with more complex general dentistry needs. I believe patient education is paramount in achieving dental goals and ensuring that the dental therapy I provide continues to function in health for years. I also believe that professional education is vital in staying updated on developments in the field of dentistry, so I am a member of several local study clubs as well as several national dental organizations.
What I love most about dentistry, beyond being able to help my patients achieve oral health on their way to overall health, is meeting so many people from different walks of life. Every patient has a story to tell, and getting to know my patients and growing with them through the years is incredibly fulfilling on both a professional and personal level. I cant think of a better team than the one we have at Valley Dental Health everyone is so warm and welcoming, and it allows our patients to feel completely calm and comfortable from their very first visit to VDH!
In my spare time, I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my amazing wife, our two awesome kids, and our two mischievous rescue pooches. We love being outside, going to baseball games, and staying active and healthy!
