Away from work, Dr. Ahmed enjoys cooking, spending time with his family and friends and reading and learning advanced dentistry. His current professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Ahmed received his Bachelors in Dental Surgery degree in 2009. After spending time in private practice abroad, he continued his education at NYU College of Dentistry. He has been practicing in the field for 10 years.
He believes that communication between patient and dentist is critical to a successful relationship. He always makes sure that his patients are educated about all procedures, all treatment options are well explained and all their questions have been answered to their complete satisfaction.
She explains the procedures thoroughly to her patients, answers questions and helps her patients decide what treatment would be best for them. She also takes dental continuation education seriously and is keeping up to date with latest dental advancements. Dr. Azi is an active member of various dental societies including American Dental Association and New Jersey Dental Association.
Dr. Azadeh Zadmehr (Dr. Azi) was born and raised in Iran and moved to the United States in her late teens to pursue higher education. She graduated from the Tufts University in Boston with a Master of Science and then from New York University College of Dentistry.
After graduation, she practiced dentistry in Pennsylvania before moving back to Hoboken to be near New York City once again. Dr. Azi chose dentistry over engineering based on her passion to care for people. She takes pride in gentle care and honesty, and believes that great dentist-patient relationship has a long-term impact in ones oral health.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Jovanna attended Bergen Community College in Paramus straight out of high school to achieve her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. In their two year program, she spent countless vigorous hours in clinic providing patients with the proper care and education catered to their specific needs and concerns to obtain optimum oral health as well as overall health. Aside from practicing hygiene in Bergens dental clinic, Jovanna also participated in community service hours on her clinical rotations rendering prophylactic procedures along with oral cancer screenings at St. Josephs Medical Center in Paterson and Alpine Learning Center in Paramus as well as placing sealants on children at Kindersmile Dental Clinic in Bloomfield.

Akshay was my dental hygienist today and was very personable and gentle handed. I normally dread attending dental cleanings, as some hygienist apply too much pressure, leaving me with bleeding gums post appointment. Akshay was thorough and very polite. I came in just to see if I could get my tooth fix and in 123 they were able to squeeze me in and get everything done the same day.. I look like a new man now!! I can now have more confidence with my smile..The work they put into fixing my chip tooth is very artistic. It doesn't even look like it was ever chipped! Very nice people and I felt comfortable with they're work. Very steady with the hands. Thank you again Dr.Azi & Arianna <3

I have been here twice already for my dental work. I really like that the doctor is not set on "selling" me a service. I really appreciate that. He recommends what I need and WHY I need it, but beyond that, it's purely up to me. The staff here are welcoming and friendly. Finally, I place I can comfortably visit...

Really impressed! I've developed some sensitivity in recent years so I always get a bit nervous going to new dentists. Akshay was very mindful during the cleaning. There was absolutely no pain or discomfort. Dr. Azi was great as well. She clearly explained everything to me after the exam. Highly recommend!

Incredible experience had here, which I know sounds bizarre considering its the DENTIST!! This all stems from Dr. Akshay's kindness and professionalism during the teeth scaling I had. He's super knowledgeable and will give you really easy steps to improve your oral health.

I had my teeth cleaning done by Akshay who was very professional, friendly, and always checked to make sure I wasn't feeling any discomfort. I don't really like going to the dentist but between the staff and Akshay they put you at ease with the procedure.

hygienist Akshay has the most gentle hands ever!!! I would give 10 stars if I could! He is super personable, thorough and professional. Front desk keisha and carmina are amazing- very upbeat and bubbly and will put a smile on your face right when you walk in. I would totally recommend this place to anyone!

My husband recommended Advanced Dental Group of Edgewater and I am so glad I came! They made it really easy to fill out forms (online) and schedule an appointment. When I came to my appointment today, the staff was warm and friendly. I didn't wait long to be seen, less than 5 minutes. They took x-rays with state of the art equipment and reviewed them right there on a big screen in front of me. Overall, a 5-star experience!

Very pleased with my experience at Advanced Dental. I've been coming here for about a year or so and have zero complaints. The staff and dentists are very friendly and professional and give practical tips on maintaining good dental health, especially Akshay. He's honestly the best dental hygienist I've ever had - so gentle and thorough and he really goes out of his way to make sure you have a good experience. Highly recommend!
