Kathleen is a licensed dental hygienist with Advanced Dental Concepts and serves as the business coordinator. Kathy is a 1991 graduate of Indiana University Northwest where she received her LDH degree. Kathy is the wife of Dr. Hayes and has been a member of Advanced Dental Concepts since it's inception in 2004.
Monica is originally from DeMotte and has been involved in dentistry for over 25 years, first joining our staff in 2013. She received her education from Indiana University Northwest School of Dentistry and is a licensed dental radiographer. She was a dental assistant for 17 years. Her favorite part of her job is able to Interact with patients.
Jenna first joined our office in early January of 2019. She received her education from Kaplan University, becoming a Certified Dental Assistant with training in OSHA, CPR, and radiology. Her favorite part of this position is being able to meet so many new people and help give patients back their smiles too.
Originally from Lansing, IL, Jenna now lives in Hobart. She and her husband Ryan have four children and two dogs named Luke and Leah. Outside of work, she spends quality time with her family, goes to the beach, travels on road trips, camps, and enjoys nighttime fires under the stars. She has a very adventurous spirit and has always wanted to go skydiving!
Kristina hails from Hobart originally, and she completed her dental education at Indiana University Northwest. Today, she is in her 1st year of working for Advanced Dental Concepts and enjoys every minute of it! She loves meeting new people through her position and being able to help them become the best version of themselves. Kristina has a very large family that consists of five siblings, 12 nephews/nieces, and over 150 cousins! In her spare time outside of the office, you can usually find her using her photography talents (usually for family photos and weddings) and going on mission trips with her church. She also loves traveling and has been to nine different countries so far she even lived in Romania for one summer.
Samantha has worked in the dental field for over 20 years, and she loves seeing how our patients overall health improves as we enhance and protect their oral health. She has a Certificate Degree with Honors in Dental Assisting as well as an Associates in Dental Hygiene, both from Indiana University Northwest.
Veronica joined our practice in 2020, and she brings 24 years of experience to our team. She says one of the best parts of her job is educating our patients and watching them apply that knowledge to improve their oral health. In addition to being EFDA certified, she is also certified in dental X-rays, coronal polishing, and CEREC.
Veronica loves to go hiking, fishing, and hunting, and she cant wait for bow and muzzleloader season each year. When she isnt spending time outdoors, she likes to hang out with her adult daughter, who is a nurse.
Brandon has been in dentistry for about 8 years, 4 of which have been spent at our practice. Nothing makes him happier than helping a patient feel good about their smile. He received his initial dental training at Everest College and obtained his certifications in EFDA and dental radiology shortly afterward.
Brandon grew up in a military family that moved around a lot, so he was actually born in Germany. These days, he likes to spend his free time traveling, camping, going on hikes, or just hanging out with his husband Chris and their cat, Mugsy.
Taylor has been in the dental industry for two years, and we rely on her and the other members of our office team to keep our patients and staff organized every day. A native of Griffith and graduate of Griffith High School, she is engaged, and she and her fianc have two boys. On the weekends, youll find Taylor spending time with her family, camping, or laying with her Pitbull, Mollie.

DR Hayes was super exceptional so good at cleaning my teeth and my wifes and so good he even got my wife to leave me for him and took my daughter with her. If I were a married man I would highly recommend your wife to go and have an amazing experience with Dr. Hayes..he might even take her and your kids to Florida and buy her expensive jewelry.. 3 stars for waiting time was slightly long but my only complaint

Worst experience imaginable! I went it in May 2022 to start some routine dental work that has been a few years over due from a few years of lack of insurance. They preformed a cleaning that went fine and proceeded to informed me I had 4 cavities that needed filled. They scheduled me for the next week to get 2 fillings done. I went in for the fillings and Daniel Hayes was the dentist scheduled to preform them. Upon looking, he informed me that I actually needed a root canal, not a filling. He proceeded to tell me that the root canal would take less than 30 minutes and he would do it in office. I should have known this was a red flag because I had another root canal done by a endodontic specialist 10 years ago. But he had insisted that dentistry has changed a lot in the past 10 years and now they can do root canals, a lot faster and in office. I had only had one previous experience at this office from the week before. Daniel Hayes did not take the proper precautions to prevent the root canal from failing! During the procedure, he did not use a dental dam. I was salivating into the open tooth the entire time! At that time, I did not know that that was extremely increasing my risk for infection, and for the root canal to fail. About a week and a half after the root canal I started experiencing the most excruciating neck pain I have ever experienced. At some times I was completely unable to look to my left. I was also unable to sleep from the excruciating pain. A week before my scheduled follow-up appointment, the tooth that he performed the root canal on, was starting to crack, pieces of the tooth were falling out, and was extremely discolored(yellow).Fast forward three weeks, I go in to get my crown put on. There was a another dentist in office, and immediately after she looking into my mouth, she looking scared and shocked. She refused to put the crown on a tooth and said that she was NOT going to help me and this was not her problem since Daniel Hayes was the one to do the root canal. They immediately escorted me out of the room and to the front desk. There is where I was informed that Daniel Hayes would not be in the office for 3 weeks! My tooth was already rotting out of my head and I was in extreme pain! They gave me a prescription for three days of antibiotics and told me to call back to schedule an appointment when the doctor was in. I took it upon myself to make an appointment with another local office immediately, and they were able to get me in that day. They proceeded to tell me that most likely I was going to lose my tooth, and that there was nothing they can do and that I should've been referred to an endodontic specialist from the start. Two days after that, I went into the endodontic specialist, and they informed me that the root canal was not performed correctly, and there was never even a filling put in the tooth. There was an extreme infection in my jaw. THE ROOT CANAL DID NOT EVEN LAST 60 DAYS!! After that, I was referred to an oral surgeon and I had to have surgery to have the the tooth removed along with a bone graft so I can get an implant in six months. I had to be put under for this procedure. Daniel Hayes has caused me extreme pain and suffering from his recklessness and rush to treat. He is the owner of the practice and all he cares about is making a quick buck and not take care of his patients. DO NOT TRUST THIS OFFICE! I am still dealing with the repercussions of his recklessness. He has cost me thousands of dollars!

Dr. Hansen and her team are AWESOME! They helped me right away when i had pain with a tooth and made me feel comfortable and didn't hesitate to get to the root of the problem. I has ended up having an extraction done and let me tell you I didn't feel a thing during the procedure. I go back for another extraction and implants procedure and I am glad that I chose the right dentist office to go to, to get these procedures done. Thank you guys!!!!

its been a very humbling experenice,i receive a complete upper and lower dentures ,it has been (painless) from start to the present, the team here at th portage office makes one feel very comfortable, from the front desk all the way back to the dental chair ,im very pleased with the procedures i've encountered, Dr.Hasen, paul, and the other staff are, awesome!!,its been one of my best decision, to try Advance Dental Concepts,

I had to go in for an emergency extraction and all other northwest Indiana dentist consider an emergency to be 2 weeks out or more. Needless to say Advanced Dental Concepts took me in right away, pulled my tooth with no pain and charged a very fair price . I finally found my new dentistry ... Who you let in your mouth matters!! :) Love advanced dental concepts and their team.
