Dr. Akharume is a 2004 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Jackson State University, where she received a B.S. In Biology. While pursuing her degree at JSU, she was involved in several organizations. She was a member of Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society, Alpha Chi Honor Society, and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. After completing her studies at JSU, she went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN in 2010. She received a post doctoral certification in Hospital Dentistry by completing a General Practice Residency at Meharry Medical College and Nashville General Hospital, in conjunction with VA Medical Center in 2011. Dr. Akharume strives to live up to the motto of her alma mater to improve the healthcare of the underserved community.

Dr. Akharume and her amazing team are the best ever! My experiences are always warm, welcoming, educational, and extremely convenient. They are truly my extended family and I appreciate their love and care for me and my family.

The front desk staff were very friendly as well as the medical staff. My only issue was that none of the medical staff performing the service introduced themselves and gave their name- even if it was just to say, "Hi, I'm ______, your dental hygienist that will be handling..." Hi, I'm Dr.______- this makes it more personal as opposed to a patient feeling as though they're just a number that the staff is trying to rush and get finished with- I was just told to sit, then they lowered the chair and started working. I hadn't been to the dentist since 2019 (pre-covid) and when I went this year, they'd moved to a new location, had new office staff and doctors as well, so it shouldn't be assumed that just because a patient is still in the system from years' prior, that they automatically know how a treatment process works as it could've changed.

My cleaning session was nice the lady was very good but the Dr was in with me maybe 2 minutes and out. Over all it was ok

Hands down one of the best dentist offices I've been to ever...good hospitality, they explain everything to you, you get options and they go beyond to make sure your comfortable...glad I left Aspen dental and will definitely be getting my kids to this office soon!!

Beautiful clinic ! I received top notch quality service. My teeth are beautiful and clean. I will definitely be returning for dental maintenance. Great customer care and the front desk staff was amazing. Dentist was very polite and gentle.

I had and have had great experiences with Advanced Dental. Taylor, my hygienist is excellent, courteous and kind hearted. Dr A is efficient and knowledgeable. The clinic is the nicest I've seen and customer service is excellent. I recommend for anyone looking for a 5 star experience.
