Dr. Rachel Talis graduated from University of Louisville Dental School in 1996. Throughout her years in private practice, Dr. Talis has received additional advanced training in many areas including implant restorations, cosmetic dentistry, advanced restorative options, and botox and facial fillers. Dr. Talis believes in preventative and comprehensive dental care for her patients. She enjoys seeing the transformation in her patients smiles and positive impact it has on their lives. Dr. Talis is a member of the Louisville Dental Society, Kentucky Dental Association, and American Dental Association.
Dr. Porter graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Originally from Paducah, KY, he has been in Louisville for the past 10 years. Dr. Porter strives to provide comprehensive dental treatment with compassion and delicate care. He is passionate about dentistry and strives to help patients have the smile that they want and deserve.
Dr. Kim received a Bachelors degree in Biology followed by a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Louisville. Her personal philosophy is to treat others as you wish to be treated. Dr. Kim is a member of Louisville Dental Society, Kentucky Dental Association, and American Dental Association.
When shes not in the office, Dr. Kim loves spending time with her husband and their daughters. They usually spend their free time at parks in the area. She also loves to travel and attend her childrens school events.
Dr. Maria Monert, originally from Cuba, earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA. She has completed additional training in pediatric, implant, and cosmetic dentistry. She is also a member of the Louisville Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Dr. Monert believes dentistry plays an important role in her patients overall health.
Planmeca ProMax 3D products consist of all-in-one units that offer three different types of three-dimensional imaging. These devices also create panoramic, extraoral bitewing and cephalometric imaging, helping us to offer our patients the best in care.
We also employ an advanced state of the art technology to insure highly precise and customized implant placement. We utilize CBCT scan that is available right in our office. Only a very small number of dental offices own and utilize this advanced technology! Utilization of this method insures accurate placement of the implants for best aesthetic, safety and longevity of final restoration.
We offer our patients the best in x-ray technology through the use of DEXIS digital equipment. In addition, we provide our patients with superior analysis based on top-of-the-line software. Add that digital x-rays require less radiation, therefore safer for the patients.
The dreamTAP dental appliance works to reduce sleep apnea-associated health risks without the need for surgery, medications or other extensive procedures. By keeping the lower jaw in a forward position, the dreamTAP allows for a clear airway that reduces snoring and improves breathing, without need of wearing a dreaded C-PAP mask.
The plan provides discounts at certain healthcare providers for dental services. The range of discounts will vary depending on the type of service. The plan does not make payments directly to the providers of dental services.
Plan members are obligated to pay for all health care services but will receive a discount from those health care providers who have contracted with the discount medical plan organization, in accordance with the specific pre-negotiated discounted fee schedule.
This program does not guarantee the quality of the services or procedures offered by the providers. This program shall make available before purchase and upon request, a list of program providers, including their address and specialty.

The mis t professional staff with state of the art equipment. The Dr. That treated me was friendly and informative. My hygienist did the best job cleaning my teeth and removing the plaque as well as explains the importance of proper flossing and brushing. My experience was a 15 out of 10. Exceed any tentative experience I ever had. Looking forward to my next visit in 3 months.

I switch over to this new place about six months ago and was so excited because the first appointment went so well with Dr. Porter and his assistants. Everyone seem so caring. But I had my second appointment last Thursday and walked out sort of uncomfortable. My hygienist was nice but then noticed I had a lip tattoo and kind of question it in a weird way asking "Why would you even get that". It came off very judgmental even if that wasn't the intention. That wasn't what really made me upset it was the dentist that made the appointment dreadful. She came in and did the usual gum check which ended up coming out that I have gingivitis. She then proceeded to say to me "I'm giving you one more pass and if you come in next time with the same result, we're going to have do something about that" in a what came off really mean way. It was like I was being ridicule for not knowing I should have been doing something to prevent that when my prior appointment I was not told to do anything beside continuing my teeth hygiene because it wasn't too bad yet. This already came off extremely off putting and then it got worse when they were analyzing my x-rays and they had it on the tv. I was looking at the tv and listening to the dentist as she told me "You have two cavities here and something is going to have to be done". As I sat there waiting for her next response she goes "You seem a bit confused do you understand?" and I was baffled because I was waiting for her to tell me if I was supposed to get it fixed today or another time. I was left really disappointed because I felt like there was snarky remarks the entire time. Maybe this was all a miscommunication but this was how the appointment came off to me.

She is very consistent and kind with everything my visit was excellent with her and I did a deep clean on both sides but very kind with the whole procedure. And the best thing is that she also speaks Spanish. Thank you for all your help and yes I recommend Advanced Dental Center (Original) Bueno quiero decir de esta clinica dental que es la mejor que hay aqui en Louisville especialmente mil gracias a la mejor hygienists que hay Keyuri Patel. Ella es muy consistente y amable con todo mi visita fue excelente con ella y yo me hice una limpieza profunda de ambos lados pero muy amable con todo el procedimiento. I came for an urgent appointment because my dentist couldn't see me for a month. Advanced Dental will now be my main dentist office! They showed more concern for me and my dental needs than my previous dentist has in years!!! So happy I came here!

Exceedingly professional, beautiful and clean office, and outstanding experience. Katie at the Rudy Lane office went above and beyond to get me in as a new patient literally 20 minutes after we spoke for a dental emergency. Dr. Monert was equally wonderful and came up with a plan for me immediately, in addition to providing me with instant relief. Best dental practice I have ever been to. Highly recommend. Thank you!

If all you need is a cleaning, great place. But I needed a root canal and they said they couldn't do it, told me I had to go out to Dixie highway when there's a place down the street that can do it. They also didn't tell me about other issues I had which the other dentist saw immediately. Not very advanced lol

I'm giving them 5 stars because they are always so nice and helpful! Even if it's not about dental needs. They are very thorough with their cleanings and with letting you know what to do once you get home! And their new renovated building is so nice and much better than it looked before!
