My name is Dr. Michael W. Fuqua. Welcome to our family practice. I am a native of the Rio Grande Valley. I was born in Weslaco and grew up in Edinburg. I graduated Edinburg High School in 1980 and Pan American University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. I graduated from the University of Texas Dental School at Houston in 1990 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree.
I have been practicing dentistry since July 1990 and I am the owner of Advanced Dental Associates in Harlingen and Weslaco since October 1991. I have served the Rio Grande Valley Dental Society as Delegate to the Texas Dental Association, Hidalgo County Director, Treasurer, Secretary, Vice-President and President.
I am married to Laura Fuqua and ours sons Blake attends St. Joseph Academy at Brownsville and Miles attends Texas A&M University at College Station. I believe that what sets us apart at Advanced Dental Associates are the relationships we form with our patients. We provide quality care with a family feel.

I hate writing a bad review.... the staff was very nice and helpful... but what I could not overcome was the just plain dirty office. I felt so uncomfortable with the small office, boxes stacked everywhere and dirty floors , old equipment I just nicely told the tech I had to leave. She was very sweet but no way would I have any dental work done at this Harlingen location.

Javier cleaned my teeth and it was a totally pleasant experience. He was so friendly and professional I won't be going anywhere else. My wife was also pleased with Javiers cleaning and professionalism. My oldest son 6 years old is enjoying his cleaning as well. Definitely the best dental office in Harlingen.

The staff are very friendly, I've been bringing my 3 teenage kids since they were little I used to go to the one in Weslaco when we lived there also and I love that they are very quick but still do a great job and I don't have to be in waiting area for a long time while I'm waiting for them

I would just like to thank Dr Fuqua for his kindness today. I have a friend who is on disability and has a horrible infection. I had been asking everyone on FB if they knew of a dentist in Mexico that I could take her with to extract her infected tooth. She was in so much pain. I called and explained our situation and he immediately had her come over to his office. There are a lot of people out there who only care about money and business....but Dr Michael Fuqua is about people! He was so kind and patient, his staff Ana and Letty were so amazing. We speak blessings and abundance over his business right now. I pray that God opens the windows of heaven and pours out a blessing that he can't even contain. Dr Fuqua...you changed my friends quality of life abundantly and for that I thank you.
