Dr. Susana Kulangara is a Tampa native and is an alumnus of King High School which is not far from the practice. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Miami and then went up north to complete her dental studies from the Boston University School of Dental Medicine.
Following dental school, Dr. Kulangara completed a rigorous 3-year residency program in Prosthodontics at the Washington D.C. VA hospital, which is also in conjunction with the Navy Post-Graduate Dental School.
Prosthodontics is an accredited dental specialty that focuses on the aesthetic and functional rehabilitation of the mouth. Here, she learned how to do complex and challenging cases using crowns, bridges, veneers, dental implant tooth replacement and implant-supported complete and partial dentures to rehabilitate her patients.
In addition, Dr. Kulangara was an Associate Clinical Professor in the Prosthodontics Department at New York University. She is an active member of the American College of Prosthodontists, Florida Prosthodontic Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the ADA and FDA.
Dr. Kulangara moved back to her hometown of Tampa in 2012 and strives to provide the highest quality of dentistry while putting her patients at ease with her warm and caring personality. She is excited to be able to re-design smiles and make her patients look and feel the best they ever have.
While away from the office, Dr. Kulangara and her husband Javit enjoy spending time with their children Jaya & Veer, trying new restaurants and recipes and traveling any chance they get. Dr. Kulangara loves community events and looks to support local businesses in and around Tampa.
Dr. de la Torre was born in New Orleans and grew up all along the Eastern coast. After graduating high school from the Academy of the Holy Names in Tampa, she earned her Bachelors in Science at the University of Florida. She continued to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency with the Gators.
Her vigorous, top ranked residency and commitment to containing education helped her achieve Fellowship of Academy of General Dentistry. A high honor recognizing only about seven percent of general dentists. She also studied at the Dawson Center for Advancement of Dentistry and became a fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. She has completed advanced training in endodontics, oral surgery, sedation dentistry, and Botox.
Dr. de la Torre is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Florida Dental Association, and the prestigious Spear Institute. In her effort to give back to the community, she is a member of Give Kids a Smile and the Junior League of Tampa.
Dr. Greg Goran Stoici was born in Timisoara, Romania in 1977. His family immigrated to the U.S. in 1983 due to the hardships of communism. His family lived for a time in Chicago, IL, then Ann Arbor, MI, and finally Pittsburgh, PA, where he completed high school. Most of his summers were spent in Romania working with his grandparent on a farm. Romania went through a democratic revolution in 1989. He was accepted in the dental school of the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned his doctorate degree in dentistry. After practicing dentistry in Philadelphia for a few years and the birth of his first son, he visited Sarasota and St. Petersburg and fell in love with the tropical environment. He and his family moved to St. Petersburg in 2009 and fell in love with the Old Northeast part of the city, where they purchased a home in 2010.
In 2013 our second son was born, and we love living here. We go to the beach on Sunday afternoons to play in the sand and water, and watch the sunset. We love going to the parks, riding our bikes to downtown for ice cream, or strolling through the city. Looking back through the years, I would have never guessed I would be living here doing what I love doing, which is helping people in the ways only a dentist can. I am truly thankful.
Originally from Fairfax, Virginia, Dr. Cristofano graduated dental school from VCU/Medical College of Virginia in 1995. Her and her family moved to Florida in 2007 and have loved it ever since. Dr. Cristofano believes dentistry is her calling and truly loves her patients and takes great pride in helping people every day.
She is an avid traveler and has visited more than 30 countries and 4 continents. Dr. Cristofano enjoys snowboarding, paddle boarding rock climbing, skeet shooting, diving, baking and woodworking. In her downtime, Dr. Cristofano loves to curl up with a good book and hot cup of coffee. All other times, she enjoys spending time with her family and my 4 grand fur babies.

I have not been to the dentist in a while. The doctor that evaluated me, Dr. De LaTorre.....was fast, effective, and efficient! Her assistant Chelsea, is the perfect addition to this doctor. They both made all my appointments seemless and stress free. I was explained everything in detail initially and had no "surprises" at check out. I give 10/10!

Dr D, Chelsea and Frances are the absolute best. Would never go to a different Dental office. Was on a limited income and was able to have a procedure I was wanting done my whole life. I cannot express enough how much I appreciate these ladies.

I'm extremely disappointed today. I've consistently had minor bad experiences with them; mostly with the way the front desk handled the business over the years. Apparently they've made changes there and I hope that they've improved. I'm obligated to share my current situation because they've really badly miss guided us and performed an unnecessary procedure on my son. My son had a small cavity, and they suggested to crown it because that was how things are done; apparently they're not! They've shaved down his permanent tooth to place the crown. He had one root canal done but they put two crowns! We have independent x rays that verify how small the cavity was on the other tooth. The said tooth had a filling from a previous procedure but currently did not need a crown. My husband tried to talk to the doctor, but nobody was coming to address his concerns.

They pretty much brushed me off, the front office was very disorganized and they were talking about their associates right in front of patients. Their X-ray machine was not working and they told me I needed to go to someone closer to my home and they still charged me a $150. I should have refused to pay. I was very disappointed in this office.

The most professional, friendly, and caring staff you could ever ask for. I had an abscess, and got in promptly (even before the time I was scheduled for). A huge thank you to Dr. Catherine de la Torre and her assistant Sandy Lydick for the care you provided. The care starts as soon as you walk through the door, from the friendly receptionist, to the assistants, to the Drs. Thank you very much.

First I'll start off by saying that the dentists and doctors here are very nice and do their job pretty well! However, I have a huge problem with the receptionists. They're rude, have attitude, and are disorganized. Earlier this week, I made a normal appointment to have a cleaning and I got one. However, the receptionist lady on the phone seemed like she hated her job and kicked me off the phone immediately. A couple days go by and I haven't received one confirmation text, call, or email. Due to this, I decide to call 6 HOURS before my afternoon appointment to confirm MYSELF. I got kicked off my appointment and when trying to figure out why, I was rudely told off and then got treated as if I was dum. The lady made me feel like it was my fault for not confirming and that I should've done more to prevent my loss appointment when I received absolutely nothing to confirm the appointment. The receptionist here make me not want to come back.

I'm really appalled at the treatment I received at this. dental facility. They use parts for my former dentist for my implants. The dentist was never available although they made me schedule on days she was there. For sure the front stuff is the rudest most callous people I've ever met. I thought based on my insurance company's recommendation and contract was abruptly discontinued. There are a couple of nice dental technitions and I must say the insurance coordinator is exemplary. However, what they present to you and the manner in which they present it is so offensive and pretentious. I am sorry I went there at all! Ti add insult to injury, they downgraded my denture without telling me. I learned once it was made. It is the cheapest most painful denture I have ever had. My recommendation is to head out the door and never look back!

Just wanted to thank the Wesley chapels office for there great customer service... I am just starting my journey of teeth issues but they are great. They take there time and explain everything if your like me your nervous and don't want to go but please do they will help you with small or big problems.. 100 percent worth your time !!!! I visited advanced dental arts yesterday and it was a wonderful experience. I received a complete set of new temporary dentures that changes my entire smile. My teeth had deteriorating for years for various reasons. The VA approved this extensive procedure and I am so grateful as well impressed with their professionalism and their artistry. It has changed my whole look. Thank you very much

I've been calling several offices to try and get my grandmother an appointment for dentures. I was surprised at the lack of customer service and knowledge from other practices... That was not the case here! Debbie was nothing short of amazing!!! She was able to get my grandmother scheduled and was very knowledgeable about the insurance procedures. We look forward to meeting with our new doctor and getting my grandmother new smile. Thank you Debbie!!!

I did a lot of research and also checked many dentist reviews and Dr. Kulangara, a Tampa native, has chose a great staff and built a great reputation. The whole staff exudes professionalism, education, care and treats you as part of the family. I'm so happy I found them. Been coming for 2 years now and I have to say, I look forward to seeing all the staff. I know I'm in good hands and I'm proud to call you my friends. You've got to give these guys a chance to take care of your dental work. They're that baseball team that has the great players with the winning spirit in the club house that gets to the World Series. Everyone wins. The owner, the team and the fans (that's us the patients). Update, been going here for years now with no issues.

I'm typically not a fan of going to the dentist and this experience was just wonderful! Dr. K. and team are so professional and the experience was actually relaxing. Best cleaning I have had in years and they didn't push unnecessary work on me. Very grateful to have found this practice.

My appointment was December 2 and again December 16! Everyone there was great the doctors are great the staff everyone treated me with respect and kindness! Everyone at advanced dental has empathy and patience they care for you! I have to say I was truly blessed Dr. K she was an angel she went the distance for me, to get me the help that I needed! I had a wonderful doctor yesterday I can't remember his name at this time and I apologize for that, but he is the greatest and the sweetest that I have ever met his knowledge was great very informative very gentle! So I have to say I am truly blessed that I will be returning and anyone that I know that needs to see a dentist I will refer them to Advance dental of Wesley Chapel! I still have some distance to go, but I am so blessed to have medical staff of Advance dental working with me, helping me to get my dignity and my smile back. Thank you Dr. K for going the distance, making sure I would be taken care of. Thank you everyone Thank you I apologize to the doctor he was the sweetest guy that took care of me yesterday on December 16th Thank you everyone for taking care of me and I can't wait to see you again and I'm proud to say that I am pain-free today no problems whatsoever because you knew what you were doing you're the first ever and I was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida, So yes, Advance Dental is the first dental I have been too! I waited 3 hours to see the dentist and I left. They took x-rays since they couldn't get the ones from the dentist that referred me to them now I am going to have to pay our of pocket for the 2nd set of Xrays . Young man that took the xray was very nice. I will not reschedule with them. Will find another dentist that cares about new patients
