Dr. Susana Kulangara is a Tampa native and is an alumnus of King High School which is not far from the practice. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Miami and then went up north to complete her dental studies from the Boston University School of Dental Medicine.

Following dental school, Dr. Kulangara completed a rigorous 3-year residency program in Prosthodontics at the Washington D.C. VA hospital, which is also in conjunction with the Navy Post-Graduate Dental School.

Prosthodontics is an accredited dental specialty that focuses on the aesthetic and functional rehabilitation of the mouth. Here, she learned how to do complex and challenging cases using crowns, bridges, veneers, dental implant tooth replacement and implant-supported complete and partial dentures to rehabilitate her patients.

In addition, Dr. Kulangara was an Associate Clinical Professor in the Prosthodontics Department at New York University. She is an active member of the American College of Prosthodontists, Florida Prosthodontic Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the ADA and FDA.

Dr. Kulangara moved back to her hometown of Tampa in 2012 and strives to provide the highest quality of dentistry while putting her patients at ease with her warm and caring personality. She is excited to be able to re-design smiles and make her patients look and feel the best they ever have.

While away from the office, Dr. Kulangara and her husband Javit enjoy spending time with their children Jaya & Veer, trying new restaurants and recipes and traveling any chance they get. Dr. Kulangara loves community events and looks to support local businesses in and around Tampa.

Dr. de la Torre was born in New Orleans and grew up all along the Eastern coast. After graduating high school from the Academy of the Holy Names in Tampa, she earned her Bachelors in Science at the University of Florida. She continued to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency with the Gators.

Her vigorous, top ranked residency and commitment to containing education helped her achieve Fellowship of Academy of General Dentistry. A high honor recognizing only about seven percent of general dentists. She also studied at the Dawson Center for Advancement of Dentistry and became a fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. She has completed advanced training in endodontics, oral surgery, sedation dentistry, and Botox.

Dr. de la Torre is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Florida Dental Association, and the prestigious Spear Institute. In her effort to give back to the community, she is a member of Give Kids a Smile and the Junior League of Tampa.

Dr. Greg Goran Stoici was born in Timisoara, Romania in 1977. His family immigrated to the U.S. in 1983 due to the hardships of communism. His family lived for a time in Chicago, IL, then Ann Arbor, MI, and finally Pittsburgh, PA, where he completed high school. Most of his summers were spent in Romania working with his grandparent on a farm. Romania went through a democratic revolution in 1989. He was accepted in the dental school of the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned his doctorate degree in dentistry. After practicing dentistry in Philadelphia for a few years and the birth of his first son, he visited Sarasota and St. Petersburg and fell in love with the tropical environment. He and his family moved to St. Petersburg in 2009 and fell in love with the Old Northeast part of the city, where they purchased a home in 2010.

In 2013 our second son was born, and we love living here. We go to the beach on Sunday afternoons to play in the sand and water, and watch the sunset. We love going to the parks, riding our bikes to downtown for ice cream, or strolling through the city. Looking back through the years, I would have never guessed I would be living here doing what I love doing, which is helping people in the ways only a dentist can. I am truly thankful.

Erika and Alexis were great in welcoming my husband and I to their office. My husband was nervous about going to dentist after some not so good past experiences at another dental office. Services/procedures done in respectful manner and great care was displayed. Overall great office! I would recommend to others for sure.

I took my mother in law to do a complete denture. Of course when the elderly take a lot of medications they have problems with dry mouth, movements of jaw ( muscular atrophies) that makes truly difficult to fix the dentures. Adv Dental Art worked tireless until my mother in law dentures were perfectly fixed. Dentist, The staff , secretaries, dental Assistance are all excellent professionals!

Dr Delatorre is a fine human being and Doctor who cares a great deal about her patients and was able to make quick work of a lingering problem that other more highly paid dentists missed, then knowing how I had been charged and neglected many times over again, did not charge me. Thank you Doctor D!

I went there on Wednesday in pain and was determined that one of my teeth - the pain causing one - needs to be extracted. 2 prescriptions were sent to my pharmacy. 1 was filled and the other was kicked back for more into from the dentist. I called the office and apprised them of the situation and that the pain was escalating. No resolution of the 2nd medication was obtained. Now Friday. Just called them and more delays - pending a response from my cardio doctor due to the medicine I'm taking. I DONT CARE. Contemplating taking it out myself. Thanks for all your help!

I had a great experience at this dental office! They were prompt, friendly, and honest. I was clearly told what my insurance covered and what it didn't, as well they didn't recommend anything I didn't need.

Went in several years ago for fairly extensive work. I was told I would be given anti-anxiety medication. My husband asked them to confirm this as well. Of COURSE she'll get the medication! I didn't. Not only that, but the dental assistant put my crowns in, NOT the dentist! She actually told the dentist that she was uncomfortable and didn't want to mess them up. I could either let this young girl fit my crowns, or leave with shaved down teeth. The permanent crowns were darker than my natural teeth and started breaking and chipping within two years. At my last visit, to place a crown on a molar, the regular dentist wasn't there. A man I never met spent a good fifteen minutes grinding the permanent crown into my gums and eventually threw his hands up and said, "He and I prepare teeth differently. You can't get a crown on here. You need to schedule a procedure to cut your gums down." And that was it. I wasn't offered another temporary. As a result, my mouth looks and feels horrible, and I'm likely to end up needed full implants instead. By the way: in front of every dental chair I sat in was a sign saying you could win money if you left a five start review on Google I have a real hard time believing anything a positive review says.

I walked in with 5 broken teeth- 4 front and one molar- and they somehow still made it a really enjoyable experience. From Alexis at the front desk, Alex and Chris doing all the assistive work, to Dr. De La Torre doing all the finishing touches, everyone was so kind and thoughtful. My teeth look amazing and I'm going back for a cleaning next week- I truly can't speak highly enough of this place!

I chose this office because of the reviews so here's mine to help others make their own decision. I am also not normally one to write reviews or complain, but due to my experience this office receives zero stars. I've been trying to get into this office for three weeks. My first two appointments were rescheduled either the day of or the day before due to the dentist not being in office. My third rescheduled appointment was canceled due to the office closing before my appointment time (The appointment time they moved my appointment to). As someone who has worked in a medical office for many years, the rescheduling of repeat appointments is beyond frustrating. The first two rescheduled appointments I was understanding, things come up. However, by my third appointment I'm not even sure this practice is real. I can't say nothing of the staff or office itself as I never made it in, but the lack of respect for others schedules is a no go for me.

(Translated by Google) I would really recommend them with my eyes closed, it is the first dental clinic I have seen in this country and their service cannot be better. They are a team of excellence, all with impeccable professionalism and the most impressive thing is that they are young, from the secretariat to its specialists. I am delighted with the service received and above all with the human quality of its workers.

I called Advanced Dental in crisis with a broken tooth and the receptionist Alexis was so wonderful and got me an appointment right away! I am terrified of dentist visits but THIS office made me feel comfortable and welcome unlike most dental offices. After they looked at me they were able to make me FOUR temporary crowns and WOW what a difference. I was crying I was so happy when I left the office. Thanks to the team at Advanced Dental for doing a AWESOME job and helping me to get over my fear and helping me look SO MUCH BETTER! I can't wait to get the permanent teeth and have a beautiful smile. I recommend this dentist to EVERYONE the staff is GREAT and the dentist is AMAZING!

all of these well written reviews seem suspicious. Especially when written around the same time. Like maybe it's the staff.....hhhmmm Anyway, I am writing this review for a friend. He needs a lot of work and a bridge. On his initial visit he told them he would like to be put under as he has a fear of dentists and needles. They told him they don't put people under, but not to worry because they do give meds that would help him "forget" the pain. They quoted him around $5k for the work and the bridge and told him they would work with him on payments. He went in for step one, which was extractions. They did not give him any of the meds they had previously mentioned, he was in so much pain and fear that he was shaking. He paid over $550 for the appointment. Now, uncomfortable with the idea of going back, but doing it anyway because they offered to work with him on payments he scheduled his next appointment. Before his next appointment he was called and told his bridge alone would be $6k and he would need to pay $3k upfront and then another $3k after. When he said he couldn't afford that and that's not what he thought their payment plan would be like he was told to "Think of the beautiful smile he would have." Which is a lovely thought if you're speaking to someone who can afford to throw down $3k, but when you're speaking to someone who can't it's like saying "just think of the beautiful smile you would have, if only you could afford our services." So, because he can't afford $3k upfront they won't be starting his bridge. But they will see him for the other work he needs done because his insurance covers 80% and he can afford the 20% balance he will have for that. They should have been more upfront about their unreasonable payment plans so he could have found another office would have actually worked with him.
