Dr. Chitra Tiruveedula has been practicing dentistry for over 15 years. After completing training in advanced general dentistry at Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Chitra had a successful practice in Solon, Ohio. Dr. Chitra and her family relocated to Orange County, CA, where she has been practicing since 2015 and would like to welcome you to Advanced Dental in Aliso Viejo, CA.

When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Chitra enjoys cooking different international cuisines. Dr. Chitras husband is a biotech entrepreneur and she has two kids, 8 year and 11 year old girls. Romeo, an English Golden Retriever, completes the family.
Dr. Joseph Yang grew up in a suburb of Chicago, IL. He earned his B.S. at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Subsequently, he received his D.D.S. from the University of Illinois, Chicago. Upon graduating, he began his 25-year career as a U.S. Naval Dental Officer. During his Navy career, Dr. Yang was chosen for full-time out-service residency in Periodontology at Univ. of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Afterward, he was selected to serve as staff/program director at Bethesda Naval Medical Center for their Periodontology residency program. During his long Navy career, he received numerous personal commendations and awards. He is a diplomate of American Board of Periodontology as well as a member of American Dental Association and American Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Yang is frequently invited to lecture and train other dental professionals worldwide in the latest implant and periodontal procedures. His hobbies are golfing, skiing, and keeping up with his favorite sports teams.
I moved to California a few years ago. Although I am not a licensed dentist in the state of California, because of my love and passion for dentistry I decided to work as a dental assistant. I have recently received my license as a Registered Dental Assistant with extended functions. Advanced Dental has given me the opportunity to grow with the practice over the last few years.I really enjoy meeting new patients and helping them take care of their dental health. My extensive knowledge in dentistry helps me educate patients about their treatment and its importance. California is now my new home and Advanced Dental is part of my new family.

The staff is super friendly but their moto to do the best service regardless of insurance coverage makes you question their motive. I understand that each insurance coverage is different but an estimated cost would be nice. They give you the cost right before before the procedure only giving you minutes to think it through. The positive reviews come from patients being asked to review them. It almost forces a current patient to leave great reviews to avoid any backlash. I'll be going to another dentist to fix any issues with the work they provided.

I woke up in excruciating pain with my jaw aching so bad I could barely talk. I immediately called the nearest dentist out of desperation for an emergency appointment. Luckily for me I chose Advanced Dental. They saw me first thing that morning at 8AM, diagnosed the problem and subsequently fixed it within a few hours. Not only were they extremely professional, they were patient, kind and understanding. I was impressed with their staff and no nonsense approach towards my treatment and relieved to see that they used all the latest advanced dental technology. Combined with Dr. Chitra's gentle bedside manner I felt very comfortable, and relaxed in what would have otherwise been a highly stressful and scary ordeal. I was SO impressed in fact that I ended my relationship with the former Dental practice I'd been going and switched over to Advanced Dental where I've chosen to continue all future treatment for myself and for that of my family. So far I have zero complaints and I feel like I'm in good hands while under their care. I dont dread dental visits like I used to, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I'm a very satisfied patient and highly recommend Advanced Dental in Aliso Viejo for your dental needs.

This team is amazing! I was in town on vacation with what turned out to be a broken tooth. I was in so much pain but thankfully found my way to Advanced Dental. Each member of the staff was warm, thorough, and patient. I NEVER write reviews, but their help compelled me to make sure others knew how awesome this place is :)

I walked into this office because I saw the yelp reviews, and man! Was it worth it. What Dr. Chitra noticed about changes in the structure of my teeth and tongue amazed me, she asked simple questions and we got down to the root of the issue, she also suggested seeing a specialist, which I believe saved me from future infections. The staff Adriana to Ruby are always welcoming and determined to make it work for me. They believe in preventative care along with affordable care. I have been to many dental offices, but have never had the care and education they have provided me with. Now a days people are trying to learn more about prevention. This is it. Thank you all at Advanced Dental, I do not plan on going anywhere else.

Great experience (and I don't do dentists) so when my crown fell out and I my regular dentist was unavailable Advanced Dental got me straight in and I think they fixed my crown better than it was originally set much better bite and NO PAIN - great dentist and great staff well deserved 5 stars

Moved to Aliso Viejo a year ago, looked for a new dentist office nearby. This place got 5 star review. And do they deserve this rating. This place is amazing. Very friendly, caring, knowledgeable staff. They made you feel at home and when they talked business, they were very informative, and had your health and best interest in mind. If you're looking for a new dentist office, this is the place to go.

A very good location and soft-spoken staff but I cant trust the clinical advice. As a new patient, I visited this place for normal cleaning. my teeth X-ray was taken and I was suggested to go for deep cleaning and fluoride paste treatment to which I said yes. ended up paying approx 200 + bucks and towards the end of all the treatment, I was told that I have cavities in 8 of my teeth and I need to go over the filling process soon. I never had any issues with my teeth and I did have a few black patches for almost 6 to 8 years which never caused me any issue and the overall conversation did not give me the confidence to go over the filling process. Instead, I decided to meet 3 other big dentists who have at least 500+ reviews and well-established dentistry. the very 1st thing I asked them was to take my X-ray and then suggest if I have a cavity or not. fortunately, all 3 dentists told me that the black patches that I have on my teeth are stains and there is no sign of cavities. where when I requested one of those dentists for a cleaning appointment and finally the dentist was able to remove the stain which was called a cavity by Dr. Chitra. Also, I met a Teeth surgeon before this visit to get my wisdom teeth removed and he too had done an advanced Xray and mentioned that my teeth were good, I also shared one of the Xray from my previous cleaning appointment before this wisdom teeth removal and asked Dr. Chitra to confirm if I had cavity back then and she said yes for that where the Xray clearly showed all teeth as white and no cavity patch... hilarious :) later I requested Xray from Dr. Chitra's office and I was amazed to see that even the Xray was not ever taken properly at her office, it did not cover all my teeth properly. Also, I started using Aligners from the non-Invisalign vendor and I was open about it to Dr. Chitra, where I was discouraged to use that instead to move to Invisalign which would cost me 5500$ approx. For me, a Dentist is the same as any other doctor in the medical profession and I wanted to believe Dr. Chitra and was excited to visit her dentistry after reading so many good reviews but I feel discouraged and felt that the place is nothing but a money scam because if I would have said yes to filling process I could have destroyed 8 of my healthy teeth on top of 200 bucks and money from insurance that I had wasted during my appointment and another 1200$ for the filling. I don't feel that I have been treated well as well for the treatment that I paid for in 1st appointment. And finally, when I declined all the appointments for filling and cleaning, I received a bill of 33 dollars pending fee :D. Eventually i had to pay extra cost for Xray at other dentistry and for cleaning as well but i am happy that i did not listen to the Doctors advice. So far, I have had 2 sessions with another dentist in Aliso Viejo and my teeth are sparkling white and all healthy and happy to be away from Advanced Dental.though i do regret choosing this place as the 1st option after moving to Aliso Viejo

My family have been going to this dentist office for about 3 years. They must be great for us to pay the extra money to go out our network. Every visit has been stellar, professional, and welcoming. They really get to know you and make sure you leave happy. I needed to have some fillings removed and replaced and they squeezed me in and they made me feel special on my birthday when I had to get the work done on that day. Thank you for that, it really made my day! My children grind their teeth and they have been a crucial role in helping them learn to break the habit and help them wear the the tools to continue the journey to a beautiful smile. If your tired of your dentist, wants someone great with kids, or haven't been to the dentist in decades. This is the dentistry for you. They are truly there to help you get the results you desire and will work with you on your journey. Thanks for all you do everyday! It's is greatly appreciated!

This place is wonderful. Dr Chitra is the best dentist I have ever had. She makes sure you are comfortable and puts your needs first. I have severe anxiety going to the dentist but I'm telling you I would recommend her to anyone!

Great service. I would highly recommend. My daughter broke her front teeth 5 days before her 12th birthday. Dr. Chitra brought her smile back very next day with a root canal and building the tooth. She is the best and does not sell unnecessary services. She is very patient, gives all the info and what to look out for in future.

Compassionate and thorough care- I highly recommend Dr Chitra and her staff for their efficiency and excellent bedside manner. I had a filling fall out over the weekend and was able to get in immediately to get this resolved. I truly appreciated how quickly they worked with me and coordinated care to ensure I didn't have any complications and how kind everyone was in the process.
