Dr. Brett Silverman, Dr. Katie Plaisance, Dr. Darrell Morton and our team members take the time to listen to your concerns and answer your questions. Educating patients is one of our many goals.

Dr. Silverman is the family and cosmetic dentistat Advanced Cosmetic & Family Dentistry. He attended Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI from 1988-1991. After that, he received early admission to dental school , in which he received his degree from University of Detroit, Mercy Dental School (DDS) from 1991-1995.
Dr. Silverman is fully experienced in the dental field. After high school, he worked in a dental laboratory for over 2 years. Dr. Silverman has been in private practice since 1995, where he enjoys performing general, sports , and cosmetic dentistry with emphasis in full mouth reconstruction cases.
He has been recognized for excellence in the dentistry field with two reputable awards. In 2002, Dr. Silverman earned a Fellow (FAGD), and in 2006, he also earned a prestigious Master (MAGD) from the Academy of General Dentistry, in which he was the youngest member to achieve this degree. Dr. Silverman has been married to his high school sweetheart, Hindy, since July 2, 1995. They have three wonderful children Jonah, Joshua, and Jamie.

Dr. Brett Silverman hands down is my all-time favorite dentist! And trust me, from years of grinding my teeth I've seen a few dentists in my lifetime for root canals and crowns. Not only does he deliver the best results, he is truly compassionate, gentle and honest! I highly recommend him and his team without hesitation.

I had the pleasure of being here this morning, and what a wonderful experience, starting from when I walked in and was greeted by Ashley Gonzales! Dr. Silverman is fantastic: He carefully explained everything to me to make sure I could understand and his assistant Alex Lyttle made sure I was comfortable the whole time and gave me a tour of the office so I knew where everything was. Once the consult was complete, they fit me in with the hygienist--Jennifer Burke--right there on the spot. She also made sure I was comfortable and carefully explained everything she was doing so I understood, and advised me on how to improve my routine to get even better results, sending me home with the products she recommended. And there was a TV on the ceiling to keep me entertained while she worked! I can't say enough good things about the experience--I walked out feeling great!

Nice Ambience, Nice Staff, Not So Great Experience With Their Services. I came here specifically for cosmetic work, because they are an out of network provider for regular dental services. The office is so nice they have TVs above your head, for patients to watch as they are being serviced. Dentist is super nice and down to earth. Banish the lady over the financial paperwork is super sweet and helpful as well. The hygienist (I can't remember her name at the moment but she's an OG in the dental industry) was very thorough and insightful. Issues & Concerns: I provided them with my insurance information in advance and they told me they verified my coverage prior to my arrival. I spoke to Ashley up front when she called and confirmed with me days before my confirmed appointment. I even asked the hygienist, I said no x-rays if it's not covered by my insurance, I literally said that shameless and all because it's AN OVERLY PRICED DENTAL OFFICE and I knew that from the cosmetic work I had done. Nevertheless, I received a $300 bill in the mail recently? For what? You guessed it ...X-Rays even though I specifically told the hygienist I didn't want them "if I had to pay out of pocket cost for them". They weren't required as I already had my x-rays sent over from a different dentist. They still insisted they couldn't "see" and needed additional X-rays. I stopped her and said "if my insurance didn't cover it, I can't get any" she assured me they wouldn't charge me for it. NOT TRUE. My dental bill says otherwise. Why lie? Cosmetic Work: I came here in May 2021 to get cosmetic work done, when I say this work cost me almost $700 and the doctor had to continuously repair it because it wasn't done properly. The last time I came in, as the dentist instructed (the third time for the repair and once for cleaning so they could repair) do you know they tried to charge me another $700? I didn't get anything repaired, it was a total waste of time and money. I could've gotten my teeth cleaned in network or found a different dentist altogether(which I eventually did). Prior to that I was told they would give me a discount off the $700, if I did promotional work for them? An interesting part was they did try to gaslight me into believing the repair wasn't on them. When it's obviously on them. If you pay $700 for something you don't expect to have to keep going back and forth to get it fixed ( your teeth, your car, etc.) Needless to say I went to a different dentist in a different county (reach out for info) who repaired it and I only had to pay $200. I haven't had any issues and I haven't had to go back again and again. Lesson learned. Overall you're paying for the TV's over your head if you ask me? The staff is super nice but will try to gaslight you (it didn't sit right with me), and they don't listen when you say make sure the insurance covers it. They just do the work regardless and expect their money later. 2.5/5 stars for great customer service and a fancy office.

I've been to dentists from coast to coast and this is the best practice I've come across. Every single person in the practice that I encountered was not only friendly, they were knowledgeable and efficient. There is definitely a philosophy of PATIENT FIRST in this practice.

My name is Sean and I have been a patient at Dr. Silverman' a office for years. I have always loved going to the dentist because of Dr. Silverman and his staff. Diana cleans my teeth and she is the best hygienist I have ever had. She is thorough, kind, and cleans my teeth to perfection. Liz has helped me out over the years with billing, and is always looking at ways to save me money through insurance. Dr. Silverman is the man! Caught HPV on my uvula years ago, and may have saved me from potential cancer in the future. I will never forget how much it meant to me, for him to find it. I love this practice and highly recommend it to anyone who lives in the Atlanta metro area!!

I would give SIX STARS if I could. The office is kind, patient and knowledgeable. I had a list of work that needed to be done. Dr. Silverman and his team, from front office staff, assistants & hygienists were professional, reassuring and forthright. The quality and care you will receive at this dental practice cannot be matched. Thank you for treating me like family.

I recently had new dentures made for my implants at Advanced Cosmetic & Family Dentistry, and I must say they are the best dentures I've ever had. The quality is outstanding, I don't feel like I have a "hockey puck" in my mouth anymore, and they look completely natural. Dr. Katie and the rest of the staff go out of their way to keep you informed during the entire process, make you feel comfortable, and ensure that you look your absolute best when you leave. They also take time with their patients, getting to know what you want, what your fears and concerns are, etc. and then professionally address them. I cannot recommend them enough.

I was truly impressed with the hospitality that was given from the doctors and staff. The wait was pleasant not long at all and it was really pleasant.
