Michael J. Chung, DDS, MS Dr. Michael J. Chung grew up in Bergen County, NJ, and attended high school at the Horace Mann School in Riverdale, NY. He received his Bachelors degree from New York University. In 2003, after completing four years of training at Columbia University School of Dental Medicine, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. The following year, Dr. Chung practiced dentistry as a resident at Columbia University/New York Presbyterian Hospital while completing rotations at Metropolitan Hospital Center, Helen Hayes Hospital and the Thelma C. Davidson Adair Dental Center in New York. He continued his postgraduate studies at the Saint Louis University Department of Orthodontics where he became skilled at multiple orthodontic techniques. He was awarded a specialty certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science degree after completing his research involving biomechanical friction and third-order torque in self-ligating brackets.His research was published in scientific journals. In 2007, Dr. Chung took over the practice of Dr. Martin Weinstein in his Freehold and Manalapan locations. He recently moved both practices into new state-of-the-art facilities in Iron Bridge Park in Freehold, and Bridge Plaza in Manalapan.
Dr. Chung is an Invisalign Preferred Provider, and has been selected as a Top Dentist by the Consumers Research Council of America, a Top Dentist in Monmouth Health & Life magazine, one of New Jerseys Favorite Kids Docs by NJ Family magazine, and one of the Top Orthodontists in the industry by Orthodontic Products magazine.
Dr. Chung has served as both an assistant clinical dental instructor at Columbia University School of Dental Medicine, and a preclinical orthodontics assistant instructor at the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine.His professional affiliations include the American Association of Orthodontists, Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, New Jersey Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, Monmouth-Ocean Dental Society, and the Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation.

At ACO . . . I work as a Dental Assistant. I especially enjoy 3D scanning and 3D printing to make every retainer perfect for every patient. I couldnt have asked to work with a better team! Amanda About me . . . I currently live in Howell with my husband, Scott, our 5 cats and 2 dogs. I am a huge animal lover, and volunteer at Rescue Ridge on a weekly basis. I enjoy spending time outside with my dogs, gardening, traveling, and hanging out with my family and friends.

It's hard to find a practice that makes you feel at home. Advanced Orthodontics definitely shines in this area. From the front desk staff to the orthodontist, they are always there for any questions or concerns. The process was easy and my children had no complaints. I will definitely refer my family and friends.

Dr. Chung is truly great at what he does. He came highly recommended and did not disappoint. I tend to fear doctor visits, but as soon as you enter his office you have an assuring feeling that everything will go nice and smoothly. Just like he came recommended to me, I have recommended him to others and everyone had a pleasant experience.

amazing job! if you need braces then what are you waiting for? Everyone in the office seemed really knowledgable and professional. Dr. Chung sat and answered all my questions and reassured me that everything would come out perfect and it did.

Dr. Chung and his staff are amazing. Both of my children used Advanced Center for Orthodontics, and had excellent experiences for both of them. Dr. Chung is very knowledgeable and his staff is extremely pleasant and very accommodating when making appointments.
