I have been with Dr. Skordeles for over twenty years now. Her quality, excellence and above all care for her patients is unsurpassed! I cannot recommend her enough. She is excellent beyond compare. She literally cares for every tooth! There are so terribly few like her these days. I so cannot recommend her enough!

This was by far the worst customer experience I ever had in my life. I was misled and cheated by this dentist's practice! I was referred to Dr. Skoredeles by an in-network dentist who claimed she is close by and also in-network. I scheduled an appointment for a preventative dental cleaning. The first thing I did was give the receptionist my insurance card to MAKE SURE this is covered and they are in-network. The receptionist confirmed they are indeed in-network and Dr. Skordeles then greeted me. Before the cleaning Dr. Skordeles looked at my teeth and started telling me I need to seriously consider an orthodontic procedure to fix my teeth ASAP! I never heard this feedback and I have always taken great care of my teeth with orthodontic care and routine annual check ups. I was sitting in front of this dentist overwhelmed and shocked and she only had negative things to say, trying to up-sell me for additional $5600. After the cleaning she told me she wants to check for cavities and not to worry this is included in my cleaning- she then said I have 4 cavities and need to seriously consider removing 2 of my wisdom teeth and also get 2 cavities. I HAVE NEVER HEARD ALL OF THIS CRAZINESS and she was also going back in forth and getting mixed up in her own words asking me "does that make sense" all the time - which did not! She was evidently trying to up-sell me in such low confidence she didn't even believe herself! As I walk out to the reception she then tells me to return to do some X-Rays and not to worry "this is also included in your plan". She performs X-Rays and I then go to the reception to discover that my benefits ARE NOT IN-NETWORK WITH THEIR PRACTICE! The receptionist hands me a bill for $685 including services I never asked for! Comprehensive periodical evaluation ($250) Radiographic images ($185) Prophylaxis ($250). I was shocked and and told the receptionist she confirmed they were in-network. She went back in forth until I pushed her to admit she made a mistake and then she said she agrees to charge my insurance 500$ and the additional 185$ they will not charge. I AM STILL SHOCKED THEY HAD THE AUDACITY TO EVEN SUGGEST THIS! Steeling from me and from my insurance? I will make sure they don't see a penny from me or my insurance after this misleading scam! I am so overwhelmed and upset from this horrible situation! They do not deserve to steal from anyone ever again and I will make sure everyone knows what horrible services they provide. Pushing services and trying win their luck by billing unreasonable charges. They will be held accountable for this. Once my insurance gets the claim/bill I will file a big fat appeal and make sure this story is told so that they don't see a penny! NEVER GO HERE.

Dr. Skordeles charged me $54,000, cash in advance. 17 months later, a brilliant Manhattan prosthodontist and a top oral surgeon are still working to remediate the harms she inflicted. The total cost has now reached $151,000. Dr. Skordeles has not responded to numerous requests for my dental records. Formal complaints have been duly filed by an attorney, with the Office of Professional Discipline. Who I am. I hold the MBA and the PhD from Columbia University's Graduate School of Business. I am 20 years a tenured professor of Accounting. I am President of my cooperative apartment building. I have been a "patient" of Dr. Skordeles for over a decade and if there were 10 stars... I would give her such a rating. ALWAYS continuing to accrue state of the art knowledge, technology and passing on her knowledge is rare. While her specialty is dentistry, her knowledge and passion for COMPLETE HEALTH is wise, state of the art and extremely helpful. While I don't know too many people who enjoy going to the dentist, her bedside manner, compassion and genuine care is unparalleled. I have recommended her to numerous friends over the years and I couldn't rave more about her as a person OR as a dentist. Who knew I would someday find "the one" that I always look forward to seeing instead of dreading a visit to the dentist. She is so much more than that. Thanks "Doc" and your team for years of such wonderful care. You are all truly appreciated!

WITHOUT DOUBT THE BEST MEDICAL SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. To begin, I firstly visited Dr Skordeles after being referred to by a friend at work. As an Irish immigrant living abroad it is very difficult to find trustworthy dental care without insurance. My friend spoke so highly of Dr Skordeles and my goodness was he right. Dr Skordeles has completely rid me of my fear of the dentist and needles in particular. The way in which she puts her patients at ease is second to none and you genuinely cannot even feel her injections. Outside of this, Dr Skordeles is beyond reasonable in her pricing. For those of us with no insurance, please contact her and enquire re pricing as she does some great deals for her patients. To date, Dr Skordeles has performed a dental examination and cleaning, two fillings, one root canal and one crown. I have never felt as comfortable getting work done as I do with her. I did not experience one single ounce of pain throughout any of the procedures and I felt no pain in the days afterwards. The technology she possesses in her office is revolutionary- a laser machine wherein you do not need a needle to get a filling (GAME CHANGING for those of us afraid of needles), a machine to create your own crown right in front of you so you feel truly at ease and single tooth anesthesia so you're face doesn't go numb and only works on the tooth in question. Outside of this, her little additions to the dentistry room make for the most enjoyable experience: Numbing cream for your gums (she lets you choose the flavor, and stress balls for us anxious patients to name but two) Dr Skordeles has truly saved me being away from home. Before I was able to get to her for my root canal she was available to take a phone call out of office hours and prescribe me some pain relief to get me through the pain until my next visit. This however is helped by her amazing administrative assistant Diane who is so bubbly, friendly and attentive and always texts to confirm your appointments. (Helpful for people like me who have forgetful tendencies!) A special shout out to Alison also, Dr Skordeles' dentistry assistant who is so lovely and cheerful and does her job so well. Reading the one negative review on Dr Skordeles' site makes me so unhappy as I know for sure it can't be the truth. Trust me when I say she is amazing and you and your pearly whites will not regret choosing her for your next dentist trip. Thank you Dr Skordeles for being the best in the business.

I usually cringe when it comes time to make dentist appointments, and haven't had a consistent one in years. I was not prepared for the wonderful service provided by Dr.Skordeles and Diane. I had the most informative cleaning and left with so much preventative care knowledge. She has the latest technology. I left with whiter teeth just from the cleaning! She explained everything, and I have never felt so taken care of in a dentist's office. I had to have a cavity refilled but-- no needles were used. Instead, she used some sort of laser. I was in and out in no time. Looking forward to regular cleanings from now on.

my teeth was something i was so insecure about and i got recommended this place and they did an amazing cleaning, better than any i've gotten at my previous dentists (and i've been to many) then got my teeth whitened here and it came out amazing! my teeth have never looked better and the ladies here are very kind and professional, they make you feel very welcome. my teeth are amazing now, definitely recommend them.

Dr Skordeles and her assistant Diane were both great to work with - they are both extremely knowledgable and helpful. Dr Skordeles is super friendly and walked me through every second of the dental appointment. The office is comfy and is jam packed with high tech dental machines. She used an x-ray machine that looked straight out of the future and I could actually understand what she was showing me when she walked me through the pictures. Although Dr Skordeles was out of network, both her and Diane were helpful and were able to work with me on pricing. I will definitely be back! PS super convenient office location.

I have been a very satisfied client of Dr. Skordeles for nearly 15 years. She was highly referred to me by a mutual friend. Since childhood, my history with dentists was pretty grim. Orally hypersensitive, I was traumatized on so many occasions by incompetent doctors that I became anxiety-ridden and continued to experience panic attacks through adulthood visits. Then I met Dr. Skordeles, my angel, my friend! Her chair-side manner alone gave way to a trust I never had with any other doctor. Dr. Skordeles is knowledgeable and progressive. She researches and maintains the latest technology and techniques in treating every type of patient under the sun, to perfection!
