A Maryland resident for over two decades, Dr. Anahita Abdehou is a graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. After dental school, she completed a one-year residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Maryland dental school and has been in private practice in Maryland ever since. She is the former president of the WIDS. She is also board certified with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.
As the leader of her highly trained team, Dr. Abdehou realizes the need for a comprehensive and integrative approach to matters of health. Her personal commitment to well-being is carried through her treatment plans for each and every patient, many of whom travel long distances for their oral hygiene needs. Taking care of her patients priorities, done in the 'best way possible, is what sets Dr. Abdehou apart.
Dr. Abdehou is committed to advanced continuing education. She stays current with technological advances through post-graduate training at The Pankey Institute and specialized courses and master training in aesthetic and clinical care. She has extensive training in Biomimetic dentistry, TMJ therapy, obstructive sleep apnea therapy with oral appliances and is an Invisalign provider.
She is currently a member of American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics, Maryland Sleep Study, Dawson Study Club, Pankey Study Club and the Maryland State Dental Association.
Her mission and philosophy is service to the community, treating patients with respect, kindness and compassion. She also gets much satisfaction from donating her time to the local Catholic Center Dental Clinic.
Dr. Abdehou is married with two children. She is deeply invested in preserving natural resources, and community leaderships. In her free time, she likes to spin, take power yoga classes, swim Olympic-sized laps, and travel the world. Her positive and constructive approach is what she takes from her everyday life and invests in each and every treatment plan in her practice.

Five stars does not even begin to describe Dr. Abdehou and Dr. Nasserifar dental office, I'd give them ten if I could. They are rock stars of the dental world! Everyone is incredibly nice, relaxed and helpful. Great office setting, high tech with all the latest technologies. I loved the vibe of the office. Dr. Abdehou and Dr. Nasserifar truly listen to their patients and talk to them and not at them. You can really tell that they love what they do and really care for the patients. They have always made my experience as painless as can be. My most recent visit I didn't even flinch when Dr. Nasserifar injected me with novacaine for the cavity I had to get filled. She was very gentle and explained each step.

I really appreciate the patient care provided by Advance Dental Clinic. No waiting, cost effective, appropriate treatment and front desk is also very cooperative and try to keep the out of pocket cost at minimum.

This my first time using the Advanc Family Dentist. Dr. A. Replaced a filling for me and she is awesome. I was impressed with how Dr A is so gentle with the novocain needle. Teaching me to breathe made such a difference numbing of my mouth. She talked to me through the whole procedure. But the big thumbs up was my jaw didn't feel like a rock and there was pain after the novocain wore off. I am changing my dental service to Advance family Dentist.

I am sooo happy my husband and I found this dental clinic.I have never encountered a dentist that feels like a primary physician. Dr. Abdehou is very knowledgeable and impressive on her field. She is very personable. You will feel her sense of dedication and care for her patients old or new. She is not only focused on the oral examination but holistically. The visit was very educational and truly advance technologically wise. She explains everything in detail with visual references. You would know and feel you are in good hands. Clinic is clean and staff are all nice and professional.

I have sleep apnea and did not like wearing the mask. I went to Advance Family Dental and was fitted for a mouth appliance. This was the best thing I have ever decided to do! The mouth piece is comfortable, non-restricting. I now sleep through the night. If I need to get up during the night, it is easy to do. I can even kiss my husband goodnight. I was able to get used to it immediately and have not had any problems with my jaw other than a little stiffness the first week. I was so happy that I could find a quick appointment the same day due to the pain that I was experiencing. I made an appointment at this location. When I arrived I was literally crying in pain because of a toothache. They proceeded to take a X-ray and then stopped for payment details. Instead of continuing with the procedure that would have helped with my pain they advised me that they wouldn't be able to continue because a electronic check error. I didn't have another form of payment except a paper check method. It seem as if they were more concerned about money than a patient well being. They could have easily billed me like other dentist facilities I have went to. I feel as if they should have did the billing details up front so I wouldn't be held liable for a service that eventually did not help. The only did they did was a X-ray. They didn't even offer me pain meds or anything to ease the pain. Not only did I leave the dentist still in pain. But also with a bill that didn't solve the problem. Very bad experience. No one was rude there but I will never go back or recommend them to anyone. . I hope this helps them change their policy.
